    The government's primary responsibility is to maintain law and order and preserve peace. Apparently, people are unhappy with Taslima. so, they boycott her.

    The organizers could privately organize a function instead of public.

    I am not supporting those who are against Taslima.I have read some books of her and I think She is against man(Masculine gender).As per her all men are bad. May be some incident happened against her but all men are not bad.

    Ram although I have not yet read her books but I read fairly enough that has been written about her, so I think what she writes is just to highlight the utter misery and plight of women who suffer at the hands of men who hold power over them. I think it would unfair to say she is against men, but because she condemns their chauvinistic attitude and misuse of power is what she condones!

    The reason behind this may be the Indian authors are getting less preveledge that's why they did not accept Taslima here. It may also happen that the books written by Taslima is not clearly understood by the people.
