I do agree with you, Ocean has a big relation with environment, if you remember the BP tragedy that took US and the world by storm last year. That wasted billions of dollars and see life was at stake in a vast area.

Yes Oceans take a role in environment. Ice in antarctica is melting this may cause a major storm to the end of the earth this is due to the major changes occured in environment.
