The hospitals in Maoist occupied areas in West Bengal are without beds and the patients have to hire cots. Whether these hospitals have doctors and medcines- is highly doubtful.

Not only in Bengal, but also all parts of India conditions of hospitals is same. Patients hardly get beds, if get they don't get doctors, if doctors, don't get medicines.
Really very pathetic conditions of hospitals in West Bengal and in other states of India where the patients who can't afford beds have to sleep on the ground and sometimes even without pillows. Problems seems to be aggravated when some of the patients are suffering from respiratory problems and they have to go without pillows. Moreover, less number of doctors and RMO's in hospitals also prevents the patient's from timely treatment and cure. I think that time has come where this whole hospital infrastructure should be taken note by the governments and higher authorities so that patient's in hospital get better facilities....
Can we call it as hospital then? What can the poor do then?Laying on ground???

oh it is absurd that hospital is deprived of sources like medicines and beds then what it does . i think it has only a name of hospital but it is of no use for patients.
Even some city hospitals have this chaotic state of affairs for the past few decades!
Government run organizations have very bad state and worst facilities now-a-days
In our district there was a hospital with limited facilities. But the public people made contribution to lift it up.

if the hospital does not have the bed the there is not store of medicine too .
I think in many places this condition remains.Government should take serious act on this.
