Supreme Court has asked whether armed forces enjoy immunity for criminal acts like rape and murder.

In fact, the army personnel in border regions are sex starved. The Government caters to all their physical needs except lust. They cannot be allowed to rape women for satisfying their lust.

One remedy is legalize prostitution and raise some all women units for satisfying the soldiers. The residents of red light area at different places will also get good job opportunity.

    I do not mean seriously. This is only satire. By arranging women for soldiers, the common women will be saved from rape. This issue is common to all armies. During Bangladesh uprising, many Bangladeshi women were raped by Pak soldiers. American soldiers raped many Vietnamese women.

    As regards my suggestion, first this is not serious but only a satire. Secondly, it is said that during second world war, there was a women unit called WAC(i)- WOMEN AUXILIARY WING- this was mainly for satisfying soldiers' lust. Is true, this plan can be implemented now also.

    I also think that the proper remedy of this lies in the fact that they should be allowed to be with their families from time to time so that this kind of action from them is reduce and secondly if they are found to do such things they should be punished severely like any other civilians for playing with the dignity of women...

    I completely agree with Gulshan ji's opinions.

    I feel it is not feasible to send every army personnel back home once a month,as we donot know when there will be attacks at the borders.

    Technology has advanced and I am sure there are many protective gears to avoid spreading of diseases sexually.Army personnel must be taken care to the fullest so that they can guard our country

    I dont think even if prostitutes are legalised for armed people common women can be saved as rapist not always commit the crime with same intention. :S

    That's a really great thought Mr Ajmani since every one cant think like this.As per Maslows Hirearchy Needs pyramid, the first level of need that is physiological need is the most basic one and has to be satisfied.If it can be done that way,it will put both in win win situation.

    The suggestion is to provide soldiers all their needs in cantonment. They already have shopping, worship, food, cinema in cantonment. If prostitution is legalized and necessary provision made in army area, women outside the military zone will be safe. My suggestion is to save the women and not to spoil them.
