Jai Ram Ramesh Union Minister commented thatour institutes are not world class whereas students are. He made definitely a correct statement and efforts should be made for improvement. But unfortunately,even good advice by Jai Ram Naresh received sarcastic comments as to whether our politicians are world class. We need to improve in all respects but beginning mist be made with education. Education makes future citizens. If we succeed in education, future is ours.
I don't find anything wrong with the comment of Jai Ram Ramesh and he rightly pointed out the picture what needs to be done if we want to improve the prevalent conditions of our institutes. Really got shocked to see the kinds of comments made about the statement!!!
Union minister Kapil sibal and some others have begun a war of words over Jai Ram Ramesh comments. There is always room for improvemnent. If our IITs are really the best as claimed by sibal, why should Indian students run to australia and other countries. In stead of making such unwarranted reactions, it will be prudent to give some heed to wise counsel of Jai Ram Ramesh.
