Pratip Chaudhuri who took oState Bank of India said his three year term at the bank would be to maintain the leadership position of the bank in retail and corporate banking. Special home loans will continue for the time being, savings accounts holders will get a number of additional services like insurance. Longer tenure term loans for companies will be the focus, replacing the bank’s earlier obsession with working capital loans as margins are higher for longer tenure loans.
