One must always attend every function organized by office or any of the colleague. while in Government service, I attended not only all functions organized by office but also most functions relating to colleagues. I would avoid relatives' but not colleagues. Also even in functions for entertainment, one may feel a bit relaxed but should not break decorum or office discipline.
