May his soul rest in peace. I used to watch regularly his  Tarak Mehta ka Oltaa chashma.He was awarded PadmaShri also.

I too am a fan of Tarak Mehta's Ulta chasma.It is one of the best comedy serials.Destiny played a cruel Joke on this writer.

Cruel joke???? He was 87, he lived up to a full ripe age!

Average life of Human being is around 70 years, and he was of 87, so he has lived his life on earth.
