In another couple of days 5 sept to be precise, Reliance is opening up Reliance Jio. With unparalleled services at unbelievable rates. It is being touted to revolutionize the Indian Telecom both in terms of calls and data services. Even before its entry other operators like Airtel, Idea... have gone to TRAI with complaints.

How do you think it will change the Indian Telecom scenario and how will the other telecom providers take on the challenge

At a glance it looks good. Reliance promises all new 4 GLTE net work. By this local Voice calls will be free forever. Its not all, Data will be anywhere up to 40% cheaper than other telcos. Reliance Tariffs are really alluring and attractive. These services will be available to the consumer from Monday.

Some of the terminology used NIRMA and " Destructive competition, I could not understand. On the whole the features Of Jio are quite attractive. Its only when the Product comes in to the market, one cannot know the real face of JIO

Nirma is not a terminology... its the name an famous old detergent powder. You must have heard of it. Because of its phenomenal success, journalists are expecting similar break through with Reliance Jio and hence the terminology "Nirma Moment"

Yes, Nirma an Ambani product and a detergent, after its arrival in to the Market, all such products felll flat unable to stand before  Nirma's quality..So, the Ambani's Jio too can repeat the act ultimately reigning the Telecom Market.

Nirma is not an Ambani product. Nirma owner is/was Karsanbhai Khodidas Patel

Thank you for correction. Nirma is a group of companies based in the city of Ahmedabad and  Karsasnbhai Patel is the owner of these companies.

Hope it's not just a hype! Whatever they claim to provide through Reliance JIO must take place in reality. If it proves right then other service providers will be in trouble.

Exactly. Let's  wait Until the product with all the Freebies Bonanza  comes after 5 th September in to the market Many market experts started seeing for  Jio with  both Hope and suspicion.

Every single thread on this forum seem to follow the same pattern...No matter how serious a discussion it is and who starts it rambabu turns it into a comedy show. In his hurry to post anywhere and everywhere , he always makes blunders,  then goes on to defend them, later  parrots others words and views and so on...Honestly this is becoming highly irritating , no wonder many older members stay away rather than take part in this comedy show ..

May I please be informed about the Comedy Show, I have  turned ? With whatever information i got from the web link,  The freebies offered with Jio that they look to be mere propaganda This is what I said and added that one should wait till Sept 5.  This is what you call it as Comedy Show ?There is absolutely  no basis for your allegation. Please  stop using such derogatory comments on me.

I agree with you that once the product comes in the market then only will come to know how it is.. No doubt Reliance jio seems to be an attractive service, I wonder how effective the data network will be. Also the cost is about to think. Lets wait until it comes in the market.

The features of Reliance Jio are so good and so attractive, that the consumer  will not be convinced  with  its Tariff Rates. They are so cheap.

Just for Rs.50, 1 GB data

Free roaming

Free Voice calls and from 5th of this month, preview services are free for 4 months. Jio Apps worth Rs.15000 will be free till 2017 December.

Hence, as a consumer  and consumers like me will definitely  will be enthusiastic till 5th Sept and check the  features announced by Reliance Jio

To look at it from another point of view... If jio is offering these services so cheap and still making money then that goes on to show how the other mobile operators have been charging us exorbitantly

I agree. Even to know, how the users are being taken for a ride by the other operators, it's advised to wait till Sept 5' which is not far away.

I was using Reliance CDMA services, and found it good, now in my circle CDMA services have been closed and the customers are given 4g LTE sim. For first month on trail basis they provided all calls and 4 data free for one month. I experienced the services and found it good.

The product is available for the consumers already? But Reliance Jio is supposed to be available from 5th Sept. Anyhow, now the consumers can  test for themselves all about its features as it is available in the market.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Jio does sound and look promising. Also we can not overlook the fact that its coming from one of the biggest corporates in the country and hence we can hope for good service. Based on the feedbacks, I am also planning to switch to jio atleast till the year end if the data is free :P

I don't know about other service providers but about Airtel I can say that it's not only costly, it has network problem too. Let's hope JIO brings in a revolution in this sector.

Me too using airtel only hand.png. Prepaid. There is another interesting news related to the data charges (sorry i dont have the link). Most big network providers including airtel and idea have drastically increased their data charges over the last 8 to 10 months. And the reason is that they anticipated the current scenario where they are forced to reduce their rates due to the competition from Reliance Jio. So by increasing the rates at that time they have created a profit cushion to take on rates cuts now. :) Business tactics.

Come Monday and we will have so many more news to share.

I too find too many problems with Airtel especially while browsing. Now with JIO hopefully we will have high speed connectivity and no interruptions. The price too is very attractive..

Mine is prepaid too. These business houses are too smart so they prepared themselves quite well for the upcoming challenge. By saying so I feel that no industrialist will do us some charity so we should wait and watch. At the beginning every offer seems to be quite lucrative but will it be the same if they grab the market is a matter to look for.
