No married couple wants to end up getting divorced. It is not like they have planned for it. They try to put up with their partners for as long as they can. However, when they see there is no other solution and they can’t take it anymore then they involve themselves in the legal process which is of course tiring and take a toll on emotions. Getting divorced is not easy. Moreover, if the kids are involved then the process becomes more difficult.    Below are mentioned some of the top reasons which lead a couple to divorce-   Inequality It is important for both the partners to be equal to each other. Even if one partner lacks in some aspect, the other partner should not make him/her feel bad about it and try to overcome the void by appreciating every little effort. If care is not taken then it can bring resentment and thus, inequality becomes one of the top reasons for getting divorced. At any point if the couples fall out of harmony, start disrespecting each other then the marriage can no longer last for them.   Gaining weight Though it may not sound right, still, it is a fact that many couples lose interest in their partner if they become overweight or obese. Weight gain will alter the physical appearance and thus, the other partner will fall out of love. Whereas the partner who has gained weight either due to pregnancy or illnesses loses self-esteem. Thus, weight gain drifts couples apart as they stop connecting with each other on physical as well as on emotional levels. As soon as the intimacy issues arrive, it is an alarming bell for happily married couples.   Issues related to raising the kids Until the kids are born, couples have to deal with each other’s needs and necessities. However, with kids in the frame, the responsibilities add up. Couples who equally distribute the responsibilities and make every possible effort to fulfill them from their side will never face a problem. It becomes an issue in case of such couples where they start taking their responsibilities as a burden on their shoulders. If one partner is doing most of the work of raising the kids and the other partner does not care at all then such marriages do not last long. When kids come into the picture, everything changes. They impact everything. They impact sleeping hours, lifestyle and for sure priorities. Also, marriages end in divorce if couples are trying to raise kids very differently. Sometimes, there will be a difference in style of parenting. Since the pattern or style does not match up, there will be constant arguments leading to divorce. If both the parents cannot communicate and get together by finding a solution, they end up in divorce. Also, some couples so much get engrossed in their parental duties that they forget that they have responsibilities as couples. All their time and precious energy are devoted to bringing up their children. They become more of the parents and less of as a couple. The real problem arrives when kids grow up and move on with their individual lives. Couples then no longer have the motive to put up with together and feel like they are living with strangers. They feel that there isn’t anything that is binding them together and there is nothing common for them. Thus, they end up in divorce.    Differences It is said that two opposite poles attract each other. However, in a marriage, it is not necessary that relationships can keep the attraction alive. Sometimes, too many differences can ruin the marriage and couples are forced to split up and get divorced. Sometimes both the partners may not be belonging to the same religion and thus they may be culturally different from each other. Sometimes especially such differences may keep relationship lively and interesting as there will always be an element of surprise but as the relationship ages, the partners may grow apart from each other if they are unable to bear the emotional stress of such differences.   Commitment issues When the couple gets married, they commit to themselves and they commit to each other. However, as time passes, the commitment weakens. Reason can be anything. It can be the fault of one partner or it can be due to the mistakes of both of them. Whatever may be the reason but lack of commitment leads to divorce. Thus, one or both the partners stop trying hard and put in efforts to remain married. They seek the easy way out and that is getting divorced. Most of the people do not want to put in efforts to correct the issues and work upon themselves and on their marriage so that they can stay married. Since it feels like too much work, they quit and get divorced.   Age factor Age plays a major role in many ways for the marriage to remain successful. At a very young age, the couple falls in love and gets married. They don’t plan much and thus, they have to face lots of issues as the time passes in comparison with those couples who plan well and get married. Young couples who get married have to face financial issues, lack of knowledge about raising kids, etc. They do not carry enough maturity. Moreover, they don’t know how to communicate with each other when the issue arrives and thus fall apart and their marriage leads to divorce. Age or maturity helps a marriage in many ways. With age comes an experience which helps to live a successful married life.    Not willing to take support It is common that couples face one or other issue in the marriage. When the issues arrive, they communicate with each other or else seek help from their near and dear ones such as family, friends, relatives, or support group and try to stick with each other in thick and thin so that their marriage can survive. Those who are reluctant to seek help and even cannot sort out the issues by themselves usually end up in divorce. Sometimes the issues become so enormously huge that they cannot be fixed. Don’t wait for so long. Couples who seek help from marriage counselors at the earliest can very well address their marriage issues. Those who don’t seek such help grow apart.    Inability to compromise Conflict is common in a marriage. Conflict can be on silly issues or it can be on major life turning issue. The need of the hour is to communicate and will to work towards resolving it. Couples must know how to handle the issues and how to resolve them. The solution comes with a price. There needs to be made a compromise on either level. If one or both the partner disagrees on compromising then the problems persist. Thus, an inability to compromise can result in divorce.   Difference in priorities Both the partners must be compatible with each other. If their lives are not on parallel tracks then it is very likely that they will end up in divorce. For example, one partner wants to enjoy a rich lavish lifestyle whereas other one wants to save the money for the future. One partner does not want kids or wants a small family and the other one wants a big one. Such differences can put an emotional strain on the relationship if they are not able to sit and communicate with each other and come up with a solution. Priorities matter a lot. More or less priority list should match with each other so that couples do not end up in divorce. Those couples who are not compatible with each other on the priority list and those who cannot come up with a solution will end up in divorce.   Lack of space It is important for every individual to enjoy his/her space. Likewise in the marriage too, couples need to respect each other’s space and allow some freedom. If one or both the partners interfere too much with each other’s lives will create a constant conflict in their married life. For example, not allowing their partners to see their friends or travel are some of the issues. Also, taking away their freedom by making decisions for them in their personal as well as professional life is also hazardous for a healthy marriage. This kind of life which lacks freedom will force couples to get divorced.   Losing self-identity It is important for everyone to carry their own identity. Getting married or being in a relationship no way means that one has to give up the identity and completely get overshadowed by their partner. Sometimes people do it willfully without any knowledge of it which is not healthy for a marriage. The other partner may lose interest because his/her better half has no will to carry out individually and has become too much of dependable. It may sound strange but yes, if one partner loses identity then it is very likely that marriage may fall apart. It is important to know what one likes and dislikes and not give up on them. Live life in harmony but by keeping the self-identity and integrity alive.

Due to our modern lifestyle, we feel that digestion related disorders are a common problem. Thus, we neither give importance to them nor seek any help to correct such disorders. Gastric troubles, acidity, nauseous feelings, heartburn, loose motions, constipation are a few common digestive disorders that trouble us on a day to day basis. We have made them a part of our lives and feel they are common issues which need not be addressed. However, we don’t really know how badly they affect our health. Unhealthy living which includes unhealthy eating habits, sedentary lifestyle and also infections, diseases, and sensitivity to food groups are some of the causes of digestive disorders. There are plenty of simple ways by which the digestive system can be made to work with the highest efficiency.    Below mentioned are simple methods which help to boost digestion-   Drink enough water Drinking adequate amount of water is essential for good digestion. Foods mainly which are in solid form require water to get digested. The food is metabolized and nutrients are extracted from them. Water is essential for digestion as well as for the absorption of nutrients. When an individual does not drink an adequate amount of water, health deteriorates. It is because of the fact that the proper functioning of vital organ decreases. The body becomes dehydrated. Blood pressure decreases. Consequently, an individual has to face constipation troubles. Water should be made the primary drink of everyday diet. Do not consider caffeinated drinks to hydrate the body. Non-caffeinated drinks such as freshly extracted fruits and vegetable juices can be considered along with dairy because they have water content in them. One should drink approximately 8 glasses of water in a day i.e., 2-2.5 liters of water is good for digestive health. One mistake that most of us usually commit is that we drink water along with our daily meals. We should not drink water for at least half an hour before or after meals. It is because water dilutes acid present in the stomach which then interferes with digestion. Thus, drink an adequate amount of water throughout the day but drink it in between meals and not along with the three big meals of the day.    Follow healthy eating habits Eating habits have a large impact on digestion. A few changes made in the daily diet plan can bring about a remarkable improvement in the digestion. It is important to eat food in a peaceful and calm environment. Thus, never combine food with work. Make sure there are no upsetting or anxious thoughts going around in the mind. It is because the mind and body are interconnected. When the mind is upset, the body cannot happily digest food. Thus, be happy and enjoy the food keeping all the worries and tension related to personal or professional life away from the dining table. While having food, try to enjoy the meal time and concentrate only on food and not on anything else. Practice mindfulness which means concentrating on the current moment. Mealtime is the time when one has to concentrate on how the food looks, its texture, its smell, its taste, etc. Keep away all the distractions. Whether it is television, smartphones, books or any other distraction, keep it away. Food should be chewed properly before it is swallowed. The aim should be to break it down into as many fine particles as possible so that the digestive system has to do less amount of work. If large particles of food enter the digestive tract, the stomach has to do extra work to digest it. Break down the food mechanically in the oral cavity itself so that fine particles can easily pass through the esophagus. Saliva released in the oral cavity helps food to get chemically digested before it is passed through the esophagus into the stomach. The more the saliva content, better is the stimulation to the stomach which triggers the production of stomach acid and digestive enzymes. Both of them are essential for digestion to take place in the stomach.   Get rid of toxins Toxins get accumulated in the body due to a number of reasons. Eating unhealthy foods is a major cause of such toxins. Accumulated toxins can cause various digestion related problems such as constipation, loose motions, abdominal pain, etc. Instead of eating such foods that result in inflammation, eat healthy foods which are nutritious. It will help in resetting the digestion by eliminating toxins.  Try to eliminate processed foods from the diet. These foods hardly carry any nutritional value and are full of sugars, artificial colors, flavoring agents, harmful preservative and chemicals. They rejoice palate but do no good for health. They cause damage to liver, kidneys and to the whole of the body by affecting overall health. Next thing is to get rid of artificial sweetening agents. Now a day, artificial sweeteners are too much in demand as they tend to sweeten the dish without adding calories to it. Thus, all those who want to lose weight are after these products. However, they cause alteration in gut bacteria which is not good for digestive health. If digestion is affected, overall health gets affected in no time. Gluten present in certain foods such as grains is not good for gut health. It usually acts as an allergen and irritates the gut flora. Thus, try to include such foodstuffs in the diet which are gluten-free. Eat soy only in a small amount. Eating it in large amount can cause a disruption in the hormonal balance. Moreover, nutritional deficiencies take place in the body. It interferes with the nutrient absorption process.   Indulge in physical exercises Physical exercises help to improve digestion. It improves blood circulation to all the body parts including vital organs. Consequently, gastrointestinal tract muscles get stimulated. Thus, the digestive system works efficiently. Regular physical activity also helps in toning colon walls. It is not at all necessary to indulge in intense physical activity. Any kind of physical exercise such as walking, jogging, cycling, yoga, swimming will do the trick. It is important to regularly exercise for at least 30 minutes in a day to get good benefits out of it.   Maintain normal weight Normal body weight is a healthy weight. Excess weight is not good for digestive health. Excess body weight results in GERD which stand for gastroesophageal reflux disease. This condition is characterized by an inability to close the valve between esophagus and stomach. Thus, stomach acid regurgitates into the esophagus. As a result, an individual experiences heartburn as well as other symptoms. Losing weight relieves pressure from the abdomen and eases out all the discomforts. Thus, to improve digestion and digestive health, it is important to maintain a healthy weight.    Include probiotics Probiotics are good bacteria that reside in intestines. They do not cause any disease i.e, they are non-pathogenic. They generate vitamins as well as short-chain fatty acids in enough amounts to feed other good bacteria. They play an important role in keeping the stomach flora healthy. They prevent infection and inflammation and helps in the digestive process. They make bowel movements normal. Thus, to improve digestive health, it is important to include probiotics in daily diet. One can get probiotics through foods such as yogurt, kefir, etc or simply by taking supplements.   Eat more fiber Fiber does not get absorbed into the body. It is just passed out through the excretory system. It is mainly plant-derived foods. Foods which are rich sources of fiber carry fewer amounts of calories. Thus, these foods help in losing weight. They also regulate blood glucose and cholesterol levels. There are two types of fibers. One is soluble which gets dissolved in water and the other one is insoluble which do not get dissolved in water. It is recommended to get the required amount of both soluble as well as insoluble fiber every day to boost digestion. Foods which are rich sources of soluble fiber are beans, oats, apples, carrots, barley, citrus fruits, etc. Foods which are rich sources of insoluble fibers are whole wheat flour, nuts, cauliflower, green beans, etc. Soluble fiber keeps blood glucose and cholesterol in the normal range. Insoluble fiber will make bowel movements normal and thus, prevent constipation.    Know the food irritants There are certain foods which act as an irritant and disrupt the normal functioning of the digestive system. Know them and try avoiding these foods as much as possible. Food irritants vary from one person to another. One can determine their food irritants by maintaining a diary. All one needs to do is list the foods eaten at every meal and also mention the symptoms that were experienced. Once these food irritants are avoided, one can see a remarkable improvement in digestive health. Foods which are unhealthy usually act as food irritants. Fast foods as well as the ones which are deep fried cause irritation to the digestive system. Vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, and beans cause gastric troubles in some people. Try to avoid eating such vegetables in a large amount. Avoid foods and drinks that are highly acidic in nature such as tea, coffee, citrus fruits, tomatoes, vinegar, etc. Don’t consume too much of spicy foods. In certain individuals, dairy and dairy products can cause irritation.

The bond of marriage brings the two people together. Initially, everything may seem okay and both of them slowly start discovering each other in the journey. There are love and transparency in a relationship. There exist a deep connection and trust. Though those two may be very different from each other still, the love keeps them together. Sometimes they end up fighting with each other on silly issues. They fight and soon start missing each other and thus, they make up. It is common for married couples to indulge in time to time quarreling. Most of the times, the issues are baseless and silly. Only a few of them fight over something very important. Thus, the process of fighting and then making up continues. Soon the day comes when there is no makeup. Couples separate and get a divorce. Thus, it is not good to neglect the issues that are bothering the relationship. If there are any issues present, they need to be sorted out before the relationship takes a dramatic ending.    Below are mentioned some reasons for couples to get a divorce-   Too much of arguments Discussions and arguments are two different things. In the discussion, the two people come together with an open mind and try to sort out things looking at them from each other’s perspective. On the other hand, arguments are all about I am right and you are wrong. There is no scope of sorting out in it. Ego takes away all the charm and makes the conversation ugly. Arguments are relationship killers. As mentioned before, since there is ego involved, it is ugly. Too much argument that can be about anything such as carrying out day to day chores to making some important decisions ruins the bond. It is a deal breaker if the same argument keeps taking place between couples again and again. It is wrong for the other person to bring up the same subject just because he/she feels that the issue is not sorted out and thus he/she is feeling that the voice is not heard. Couples who do not try to get in the shoes of each other or develop a whole new way of looking at the problem will never come up with a solution and will keep arguing. Arguments can lead to falling apart.   Infidelity Infidelity or cheating is one of the most common causes of divorce. It can end the marriage. Reason for cheating can be anything. Some cheat because their sexual hunger or desire is not met by their partner. Others cheat as they are not able to experience emotional attachment with their partner. Apart from these reasons, there is a number of other reasons too such as resentment, anger, lack of control, etc. Infidelity has become the number one reason for getting divorced. It may commence with innocent flirting. Initially, it may seem as if the person is having an affair to meet his emotional appetite. Soon it becomes an extramarital physical affair which can ruin everything and end up the marriage into divorce.   Lacking communication Married couples who are not able to very well communicate with each other are at high risk of ending up in divorce. Communication has to be effective and fruitful. Meaningless conversations are not going to do any good for the relationship to flourish. When couples are not able to communicate with each other, they become restless and frustrated. Within no time they may fall out of love and slowly their relationship may come to an end. Thus, it is important to have a good meaningful conversation and make it as a foundation. Instead, couples choose to quarrel and yell at each other so that their point of view gets understood and their voice gets heard. When they feel that they are not appreciated, they fall back and stop communicating. Instead, they choose to poke their partners with some bad comments to show that they are hurt. Moreover, it is important to communicate throughout the day. Though couples may not be present with each other physically throughout the day but still, sending a message every now and then and making a quick phone call will do the trick. Those who do not feel like spending some time to make quick conversations with their partners are at high risk as they are dwelling towards divorce. Thus, the lack of communication can lead to divorce.   Financial matters Money is power. The partner who earns considerably more than the other if develops an ego about it will behave accordingly and the sweet marriage can end up in divorce. One partner spending more money than the other is also a common issue that can lead the marriage to divorce. Money is a very common factor to get divorced. If the partner isn’t able to handle the expenses very well because of low earning potential can also lead to divorce. Financial issues can build up stress and stress ruins everything from health to a loving relationship such as marriage.   Physical or emotional abuse Abusive relationships cannot last long. Abuse ruins the beautiful marriage and couples end up getting a divorce. Abuse can be physical as well as mental. Ignoring the partner, making them feel they are not important or wanted, beating them, emotionally torturing them, asking them to do all such tasks which they don’t want to do are a few ways of abusing. Abusive marriage is an unhealthy one. Thus, couples split up and get a divorce.   Not ready for marriage This is again a common reason to get a divorce. An unexpected pregnancy, pressure of parents and society, long-term commitment, etc are a few causes out of many which make people to get married when actually they aren’t ready to be married. They feel like they were not ready for marriage. Some of them feel that they might have found a better life partner for themselves if their parents would not have arranged the marriage for them. Others feel that they needed a few years to get financially secure so that they could seek a better job, move to a better home or a better town before getting married. Since that did not take place and also the added responsibility of a spouse and the kids have eventually burdened their shoulders. Since they cannot seek a solution and cannot take any more weight on their shoulders, they quit the marriage. Thus, it is important to get married only when the heart says that you are ready and not due to the pressure from outside.   Too many expectations It is human nature to expect from others. Likewise expecting from the better half in a marriage is not something that is unusual. However, too many expectations and that too of unrealistic nature can end up a marriage in divorce. Expectations have to be realistic. Most of the times, married couples create an image in their minds. If their partners fail to exact that particular image, the relationship disastrously ends up in divorce. Expectations can drift the couples away. One partner whose expectations are not met up will feel hurt and let down. Another partner is always under constant pressure and sense failure in accomplishments. Thus, unrealistic expectations can be dangerous to a marriage.   Addiction Addiction of any form is not only dangerous to the health and well-being of the person who is addicted but also affects the entire family. It affects relationships. Thus, in spite of a loving life partner, the marriage ends up in divorce. Addiction can be anything. It can be an addiction to alcohol, drugs or any other substance abuse, sex addiction, etc. Usually, the other partner will file a divorce as he/she do not want the kids to get influenced or witness one of the parent’s addictive behaviors.    Not having fun As the relationship ages, it becomes boring. Couples initially take care of every little thing of their partners and make all the essential efforts to keep the relationship alive and lively. With time, they somehow grow apart. They stop having fun especially if they are different from each other and start living entirely different lifestyles. No matter how different couples are from each other, it is important to keep that spark alive. Surprising the partner should not stop at any age. Thus, spontaneity is an essential key. When everything becomes too much predictable, it invites boredom in the marriage. When either or both the partners cannot take it anymore, the marriage turns into divorce.   No intimacy Intimacy both on physical as well as the emotional level is important to keep that spark alive in marriage. If at any level couples start feeling that they are not able to connect, they grow apart from each other. Soon they will start giving cold shoulder to each other. It will be more like living with a stranger. Marriage is not all about sex but still, lack of intimacy during sex is one of the top reasons that couple’s divorce. Not caring for partners sexual needs and not connecting with them on emotional levels can show the couples the way to the courtroom.

We keep ourselves busy and stressed out all the time. Instead of enjoying and appreciating every moment of life, we feel anxious about it. Uncertainties add to the pressure. In such moments, we need to calm ourselves. Calming oneself does not mean that we need to indulge in caffeine, alcoholic drinks, social media or television. Calming should take place naturally. For this, we need to develop a habit of calming ourselves naturally. This habit is known as mindfulness which will help us to enjoy every second of our lives.   Mindfulness teaches us to shift the focus from future to present. Either we dwell in the past or think about the future. Thus, we forget to appreciate the present that is gifted to us. Mindfulness teaches us to focus on the present moment without being judgmental about anything. Most of us have forgotten what happiness is and try to search it in worldly achievements. Mindfulness is a stepping stone for all those who are in quest of happiness. Gradually all sorts of anxiety, depression, stress-related worries will evaporate from our lives. Practice mindfulness and learn the trick to deal with the chaotic madness that is going around in the world.   Below are simple but effective ways that teach mindfulness practice-   Devote some time in daily schedule to practice the art of mindfulness Mindfulness does not come to those people who practice it one day and never show up to practice on the next day. A proper routine needs to be followed to practice the art. For example, a time schedule needs to be maintained to practice it. It is better to pick that time of the day when an interruption is the least. Make sure to practice mindfulness during the same time of the day. Moreover, one also needs to pick up space in the house where this art form can be practiced. The place should be free from interruptions and noise. It should have a soothing aura and should instantly bring calmness to the body and mind. A peaceful environment will make the person relax during the practice session. Make sure to use that particular area of the house exclusively for practicing mindfulness and for nothing else. Since the place is not used for anything else, as soon as the person sits down, the subconscious mind will know that it is the time for practicing mindfulness and thus, it will instantly calm the mind and body. Initially keep the session short. A session of 5-10 minutes is enough for those who are starting the practice. You can gradually increase the practice time as per the convenience. The key is to keep the session short but powerful. If you are able to completely concentrate on the present moment in your entire session of 5-10 minutes then it is a meaningful session. If you hardly concentrate for a couple of minutes and sit for an hour then it is a waste of time.    Sit in a comfortable position  Mindfulness is an exercise for the mind and thus body position does not matter a lot. You can either sit on the floor or on a chair. The only thing that matters is that the position should be comfortable. You need to sit in the same position for the entire session. Thus, make sure to choose a position as per your comfort. It does not matter whether you keep feet on the ground or sit in a lotus position. Concentrate on breathing. Practice deep breathing. Focus on the breathing in and breathing out that you carry out. If the mind wanders and shifts focus from breathing to other things then try to bring it back and reset the focus on breathing.    Focus on the current moment Initially one needs to consciously make consistent efforts on focusing on the current moment. It may not be easy initially but with time, the practice will make a person pro in the art form. The purpose is to shift focus from the past and future to the present. While doing so, judgments need to be kept aside. We meaninglessly dwell in the past or future. We very well know that we cannot go back and correct our mistakes and similarly, we do not know what’s kept in for us in our future. Still, we allow the thoughts of past and future to linger in our minds. If we think deeply, only the current moment is the real time that we are in reality capable of living. Thus, mindfulness teaches us the importance of the current moment. It teaches us to accept oneself and everyone while living in the present. While focusing on the present time, make sure to focus on breath and listen to the various sounds around the aura.   Stop worrying about everything When in the practice session, it is important to give a pause to the worries. Thus, stop looking at the clock. You don’t have to know how much time has passed. When you are focusing on the current time, maintain your focus and do not let the thoughts slip worrying about the future. It is because the future will soon arrive and you do not know what it has in store for you. Thus, do not let such thoughts wander your minds such as at what time you need to get up from the session, the place where you have to be next, the people you have to meet and the conversations you are about to have, etc.    Enjoy doing nothing The session of practicing mindfulness is the one where the body isn’t doing much. The entire task is of mind. It is because the mind has to focus on breathing and on present times. On the other hand, the body gets to enjoy relaxation. It is not necessary that all the time we need to run around and keep accomplishing the things on our list. Sometimes, we need to stop and rest. This resting period is when we recharge our mind and body which helps us to run for a long period of time. Those who do not stop and recharge will run out of power after some time. Thus, mindfulness is not a practice that teaches idleness but promotes productiveness. As much as sleep is necessary to give the body a break, practicing mindfulness is also equally important.   Focus on thoughts Everything begins with thoughts. It is because thoughts turn into feelings, words, and personality. Thus, focus on your thoughts. Then focus on the speech and conversations that you have with others along with the kind of action you practice. Check the motive behind everything. It will help you identify whether your motive is to help others or it is to just satisfy the ego. This kind of checking will help you to always be positive. If you consistently check the quality of your thoughts, words, and deeds, you will be able to keep negativity away from you. Moreover, being judgmental is a wrong practice to follow. Thus, try to get rid of it. Don’t try to pass judgments about anything, any person or the circumstances that pass by you.    Put a pause on wandering It is obvious that during the session mind will wander in the past or future. All you have to do is bring it back to present time. As soon as the mind wanders, bring it back to the present moment. The quicker it is done; the better will be the results. Key is to be conscious all the time. Lack of concentration is the reason for the mind to dwell here and there. Practice deep breathing. Reset the focus of mind. Initially, you may have to do it repeatedly. Once you master the technique then with passing time, your mind will hardly wander in different times. Concentrating power will gradually increase. Sometimes, your anxiety about the future or regrets associated with past will not allow you to concentrate on the present time. Make yourself understand that whatever that is done in the past is done and it cannot be corrected and whatever the future will bring in will surely arrive and nothing can stop it. Thus, instead of being hard on yourself when you lack concentration and dwell at different times, train your mind and teach it to stay in present times and make peace with everything.   Conclusion Mindfulness is necessary to make life easy. We do not know how much of our precious time we waste by thinking about past or future. In reality, it is only the current time that we are really capable of living. Thus, make most of it and practice mindfulness. This will help us to embrace every moment of our life gracefully without being judgmental over anything. Though it may look easy and simple. However, it isn’t that easy. It requires practice to master this form. Thus, devote some time of the day to practice mindfulness. Once mastered, life becomes easy as we learn to live in the current moment and get the most out of it. Moreover, we will keep our worries, stress, and anxiety at bay and embrace happiness and peace in our lives with grace.

In the busy world it is a common trend to be seen today that while accomplishing endless acts, we are missing on embracing the feeling of living in present. Most of our life is filled with the regrets of the past and insecurities of the future. We have forgotten to make a connection with the present and live in it a little. Mindfulness teaches us to shift back the focus and reset it on the current moment so that we can live our lives gracefully and free of judgments. Even scientific reports claim that mindfulness if practiced daily, can show remarkable improvement in decreasing stress. It brings remarkable improvement in health by bringing positive changes in thoughts, behaviors, and attitudes.    Below are mentioned some benefits of mindfulness-   It brings good physical health Mindfulness if practiced daily can show remarkable improvement in the physical health of an individual. It decreases the stress of an individual. It decreases blood pressure. It improves the quality of sleep. It helps in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and gastrointestinal disorders. It decreases the intensity of chronic pain.    It boosts mental health Mindfulness keeps depression at bay. It helps individuals who are suffering from eating disorders as well as those who are indulged in substance abuse. It decreases stress and anxiety levels. It helps to create strong bonds and thus improve the relationship with others. In short, it brings remarkable improvement in the mental health of an individual.   It helps to improve overall wellness Good physical and mental health promotes overall wellness. Moreover, mindfulness helps to live life with complete satisfaction. We get to enjoy every moment of our lives as they approach us. We will then rarely concentrate on obstacles that come in the way. Instead, we will be blessed with a greater capacity to overcome the adversities of life. The regrets of the past and anxiety about the future will rarely bother us. Instead of getting caught up in the past or future, we will be able to embrace the current moment of our life and live it to the fullest. Thus, concerns related to being successful or not will never bother us. Our bonds with others will strengthen and it will help in developing deeper connections with them.   It improves the performance Since mindfulness is all about concentration and focuses on the current moment, we will be able to concentrate on our daily tasks in a better way. Thus, we will excel at the work we are doing. When our mind is not able to concentrate then it exerts a negative effect on our performance. Thus, one who practices mindfulness is able to concentrate in a better way. They have good memory power and excel in their performance. Reports have shown that mindfulness thickens cerebral cortex of the brain. This area of the brain is responsible for memory, learning, and focus.   Mindfulness boosts creativity When an individual practices mindfulness on a daily basis, a perfect balance is created between two networks of the brain namely freestyle and control. Balance is essential for a person to get creative. Thus, those who want to get creative in life and those creative people who are not able to give their 100% should practice mindfulness to let their creativity flow.   It improves emotional response Being susceptible to emotions is not a very good thing. If an individual is vulnerable to emotions then he will react to each and everything that comes now and then in his life. Too many reactions affect mental health. The mind is closely related to the body. When mental health is affected, the body cannot remain fit. Practicing mindfulness helps an individual to overcome the difficulties and remain strong when it comes to displaying an emotional response. The more we are able to distance ourselves from the ups and downs of our lives, the better we will be able to deal with them.   It improves relationships  When we practice mindfulness on a daily basis, we tend to develop compassion and empathy towards others. We practice kindness. All these traits are necessary for any relationship to flourish and progress. In the absence of these traits, relationships between two individuals are shallow and incomplete. Mindfulness exerts its effects on emotion processing unit of the brain which is known as the amygdala. It decreases in volume. Thus, it is concluded that daily mindfulness practice can help in checking the emotions and reduce the responses. These two are the essential factors for maintaining good relations with others.    Gets rid of lonely feelings Feeling of loneliness should not be taken lightly. It is because they have a serious impact on mental health over a period of time. When mental health is affected, it takes a serious toll on physical health also. Individuals who suffer from feelings of loneliness usually suffer from anxiety attacks, depression, Alzheimer’s, heart diseases in the long run. It also decreases their life span. Thus, individuals who live alone or are suffering from such feelings should practice mindfulness on a regular basis as it has shown positive effects on the health of such individuals. Within a few days, they begin changing the thought process and think more positively.    Improves the quality of sleep Increased stress in day to day lives interferes with sound sleep and also deteriorates the quality. On the other hand, mindfulness improves the quality of sleep and also helps an individual to get adequate sleep. Mindfulness decreases stress. Thus, it helps in getting rid of many stress associated issues such as sleep disorders, chronic pain, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, and many others.    Provides relief from pain Instead of using drugs to relieve pain, it is better to practice mindfulness. It is because mindfulness helps in relieving pain and improves overall wellness whereas drugs exert lots of side effects and do more harm to the body than any good. When an individual practices mindfulness, the body produces three different opioids. They are dynorphins, beta-endorphin and Leu- and met-enkephalin. These opioids are responsible for pain reduction.   Decreases the risk of neurodegenerative diseases Individuals who practice mindfulness on a daily basis are at least risk of suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. Individuals who are suffering from these diseases have also shown a reduction in the progression of these diseases when daily therapy is practiced. During the session, positive changes take place in the brain. In short, anxiousness and stress are decreased to a large extent. Thus, neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer’s show slow progression.    Overcome illnesses Mindfulness cannot help in treating the symptoms and signs. However, an individual learns to manage them well. Thus, it becomes easy for him to deal with the illnesses irrespective of how mild or severe intensity they are. Mindfulness boosts energy levels in an individual. It decreases stress, anxiety, emotional reactions to not so good experiences. All these factors help a patient to deal with diseases and disorders in a much better way.   How much of mindfulness is necessary?  Mindfulness is a therapy. It is a form of meditation. The more we do it, the more benefits we receive from it. In short, it is dose-related. Initially, one requires a lot of practice. One can start with a practice session of small duration that lasts for 5-10 minutes. Gradually when it becomes easy, one can extend the span to 20-30 minutes. Some even recommend a session of 45 minutes on a daily basis. Soon it becomes a way of life. One does not have to spare time to practice it. We will soon inculcate it in our daily routine and start practicing it throughout the day. The more we practice it, the more life becomes easy.    More about mindfulness People usually confuse between mindfulness and meditation. It is because they both are so alike and both of them exert good benefits on mind and body. However, do remember that mindfulness is a form of meditation. Mindfulness is nothing but awareness. Initially, we may need to devote some time of our day to practice it. As we keep mastering it, we can choose to be aware all the time throughout the day. There are many other forms of meditation and mindfulness is one of them. Even religions and spirituality are associated with the art of meditation and mindfulness. The more aware we are about our living in the present, the more awareness increases in us about who we are and what surrounds us. It prevents us from living in the past or dwelling in the future. It helps us to live in the current moment. Thus, it is a stepping stone in the process of enlightening and achieving salvation.   Conclusion Mindfulness is not just meditation. It is the art of dealing with everyday struggles. It is a technique to overcome daily stress and anxiety. It is a key to live healthy both physically and mentally. It helps an individual to remain free from diseases and disorders so that he can enjoy good health and wellness. It helps an individual to boost his creativity and strengthen the bond with others and let the relationships flourish. Thus, the need of the hour is to practice mindfulness and appreciate every second of life gracefully.
