So kind of you for clearing my doubt       I guess we Hindus are able to take a balanced view when Indra is called a villain , but we all remember Satanic verses and the controversy it created just because in one of the paras it was mentioned that Mohammad had offered his wife to a guest which was the norm those days in Arabia ! Other than that there was nothing in the book to show Islam in a poor light ! Thats how intolerant they are and extra tolerant we are !!!! Actually Indra is not worshipped- even though considered god king. In Mathura District, Indra punished people for worshiping Govardhan hills instead of him. He being also rain god sent dark clouds and it rained continuously for several days. Krishna saved people by lifting the govardhan hills on his little finger so that people may get shelter. Ultimately, Indra was defeated. So nobody will be angry for criticizing Indra. But if you criticize Rama, Krishna, Shiva, you will face people's anger.  similarly, Christians will not be angry if you criticize Satan.  Rama or any such such mythological character are above the criticism because they were created as epitomes of Virtues. If they are criticized the offenders are bound to invite the wrath. Criticize Ravan, you will be showered with all praises.

This itself says Sanskrit as an official language is practically of no use. Then why make this associate official language. Is this not mockery.  Certainly a Mockery. The HP government wants to say that it is respecting an ancient language.

Yes thats true, many of them work there , so they are forced to live there...But in the long run it may not be very healthy for the children since they have no outdoor activity within the area nor for adults for the same reason !

This does not indicate lack of national pride or patriotism.   Yes being proud as an Indian doesn't mean that we are above our shortcomings. It's only when we Indians keep up those values, while correcting our shortcomings that crop up, one can be really proud of being Indian.

In Pakistan also, military rule was established several times through coup only.  I agree with you. We have seen how military rule in other countries like Pakistan brought Progress and Peace. The benefits of Martial law is mere mirage.

Excessive mining activities especially mining of  Opals made them to take this drastic action of the people in the area. Even if they live underground, they have links with the place for their own livelihood. This is the sole reason for the inhabitants of the Australian place to live in the underground without losing their occupation of mining.

They say past sins have long shadows and that's exactly what is happening in our country, all the past ill deeds are catching up and now the present government has to pay the price for it whether it is paying one rank one pension to army men ( which has been a battle going on for the past several years) or some other issue. However, there is no need for a martial law as yet since things are being worked out to get out the difficult situation and we have to hope for the best !

I had earlier read about this town in a quite old issue of RD.  This has been going on since 2010 and now it is complete with people moving in. It is a novel idea no doubt to have an underground town but I feel it is better to move away to a clean and open space rather than stay underground..Australia being a vast country with lots of open unoccupied spaces would certainly accommodate the 2000 odd people anywhere else and they would have a healthier life too...Of course there may have been other considerations which drove them to take this step !
