Yes it is true that many Indian traditions have scientific reason behind them. Also in India season changes according to Hindi calendar. Our Hindi calendar is prepared on the basis of movements of planets and stars. Our traditions also have scientific reasons behind them.

The question here does not deal with increasing of Hindu population but more important is to stop the growth of every community as India cannot manage to feed so many mouths. There should be a strict law which helps keep the population under control and religion should not be considered a factor in implementing that rule. No one is saying Muslims have no right to increase their generation but if it goes out of proportion and that too intentionally that is not acceptable. I am not sure if any Indian government will dare bringing one such bill in Indian parliament.

Actually everything gets solved if there is a uniform civil code of laws that covers the entire population regardless of religion...when that comes in we don't need to worry about increase in population either way because there will be checks and balances within the law to take care of all religious groups in a fair manner !

Now let's face the facts. In order to contain the Muslim population and increase the Hindu population, I suggest the following measures as an inhabitant of this Hindu Rashtra. Strict curbs on illegal migration of Muslims from Bangladeash and Mayanmar. Family planning has to be made mandatory. Stopping Multiple Marriages of Muslim men with Non-Muslim girls and then converting them to Islam Stopping the methods of divorcing by saying "Triple Talaq." Thinking seriously about the question, " Where will the Hindus run if once Muslim population touches 51%

I feel these figures were collected by UPA-2 in order to please one particular community but could not gather courage to publish it. Now the cat is out of the bag not fully though. The data is incomplete besides 4 years have past and much water has flowed under the bridge ever since. I was going through the recent population report (official) it said WUP has almost 40+% Muslim population and increasing twice compared to Hindu population. It will soon be renamed as Harit Pradesh if Ch. Ajit Singh could manage to divide UP in to two states.

Very lengthy article, just skimmed through the main points, by the title I thought it had to do with people being restless and shaking their legs , which habit I have and I was told it is good for blood circulation and keep you active when you sit for a long period of time... But this  has to do with a neurological disorder that develops right from childhood where there is unpleasant, throbbing and creeping sensations in your legs ..

Caste System might have been Introduced so as to elevate poor communities which existed at that time. 2. Over the years the situation in respect of Economic & Caste has changed, now it is not at all that, a particular caste is not good enough financially, situations have changed. 3. Reservation is now used Politically as it is mentioned in many of the comments. 4. Change is the need of the Hour & that constitutes masses unifying with a consensus to eliminate it & give it on the ground of economic condition. I agree, we need to review and renew the policies from time to time which is not happening in our country. In fact casteism is so deep rooted that it is almost impossible to even think of reducing the number leave alone abolish it.

Outdoor air pollution is the fifth largest cause of premature deaths in India. We take air and air quality for granted. Can we be proactive and contribute a bit to reduce air pollution in our own way ? http://www.huffingtonpost.in/sapna-kedia/air-pollution-why-we-all-_b_8035766.html?utm_hp_ref=india

A manipulator's knife has two edges. He uses them cleverly according to the situation. And there is no dearth of Master Manipulators in all the religions.

If the percentage of Hindus dip, let the government that has a Hindu majority think of measures and implement  that would increase the percentage of Hindus.

Because in other religions they do not believe in gods coming in the avatar of human beings. This is used by skillful persons in the reverse order by saying that they have become gods. Perhaps now can you overcome your bias and reflect on the thread.

Every community has a right to multiply as they deem fit. If a particular community does more or less is their skill and need. Those who feel peeved can try and improve their statistics rather than cry hoarse and keep lamenting and doing nothing.
