But their views are reliable. Not fairy tales unlike Indian Media. I also rely on Doordarshan channels for unbiased news.

Just for information Huffington Post is not a original creator of news, it is a blog that relies heavily on Newyork Times and Washington Post for all its inputs and they have tied up with Times of India for India based news ...So, theur views are not independent !

I agree. But as you are thinking Commanding and demanding are nowhere mentioned. A hero who injects qualities like optimism in the people around him is my concept of Heroism.

I did not go through the article but for me a hero would be one with compassion and understanding rather than lead or stand first or command and demand people do this and that ! I guess that type of heroism may not work now .. I also truly believe that it is lonely at the top !

That much of discretion I expect from the member. Moreover a hero whether he is Indian or from any foreign land, the heroic qualities are same.

I agree. The reason I pointed my view was because many Indian heroes will be ascribed with qualities you have mentioned and that would be misleading.

Anyhow, It's my observation and I'm fully convinced the said News agencies are more reliable and authentic. Their views and news are not biased.

As per orthodox it was destined. Killing a girl child is not superstition but a well practiced practice to avoid the burden of dowry. Thatis why Hinduism should cleanse itself before pointing fingers at others.

If it is not poverty, it is due superstitions prevailing in Rich. I will tell a case which happened in Vizag. A Doctor in the Hospital run by Vizag steel plant has consulted the Almanac for an auspicious time for performing a critical operation. Ultimately the poor patient died.

How about abolishing reservation and introducing dereservation ie mentioning the communities who are not entitled to reservation benefits. Denial makes people happy.

Do not blame poverty. It is the rich and educated who practice killing or aborting the girl child.

The private sector should be involved in running govt hospitals and for this they can be given suitable incentives.

What ever I said is based on Universal conditions. Not just in the Indian conditions.

Contrary to your opinion, It's an example of old beliefs, superstitions compounded by poverty. For example even today many parents believe that It's only a son who can bring the parents Moksha or salvation. Such beliefs are in the roots of killing the girl child. Additionally poverty is also a contributing factor for such of barbaric deeds.
