Politicians  then and now and forever will remain self centered . They never hesitate to stoop down to achieve their interests.

The Constitution guarantees equality to all citizens and thus establishes a rule of Non-discrimination by the state in any manner. And it is well known fact that reservations are the tools effectively by the politicians used to promote their own interests.

I would like to know whether even after this affiliation whether Doordarshan is better than other channels or not. Also it is very true that negativity is being spread by this kind of propaganda. There are 2 ways of subsiding it 1. Use our discretion & Ignore it. (Or atleast let the Indian Boddunan Community go with it.) 2. Stick to those channels like BBC & Doordarshan which do not go with such kind of activity of going by TRP.   Thank you Boddunan Community for starting, conversing & expressing this topic. It has benefitted me a lot. I would watch BBC from now & watch Doordarshan as well if it is better than other channels. I would say, be open minded and watch all there is before drawing any conclusions...I try and watch all channels including the local ones which I find give me more local news which is useful for me. They also give some world news focusing on different places and cultures of the world which is very informative...So all news channels have something or the other that is useful.. K Madam. In business channels I have seen that ET Now is good in terms of giving authenic & good advice in share market, to the extent possible with good reasoning & analysis. DD News, NDTV 24*7 are also well conducted. Thank you for telling me to be Independent & to have my own analysis.

You are absolutely right! Actually the politicians of the yesteryears and of the present day are basically the same in their attitude towards the mass. They never thought/think what the common people go through.

I once gave Rs 1000 to two nuns who were part of an organisation to start a old age and destitute home and I was told that everybody would be helped with the donation collected. They also started an ashram in an old property donated by a rich Christian.Later when I wanted to help an old poor woman, took her there and they said it was only for Christians ., when I showed the the recipt for the money I had given they said yes we got money from all generous souls !!!! I worked as an hon. in charge of an old age home run by retired Army personnel. That is really a true free old age home. They never indulged in such activities as in the Christian old age home. It is a case of cheating and a ploy to extract funds from the unsuspecting donors.

While it is quite difficult for us to accept that a mother kills her child but I think this particular case is quite unusual and different in the fact that Mukherjee herself was subjected to quite sexual harassment at a young age and her children were brought up by her parents. So she may quite probably never have had any maternal instincts but only hatred for them as they were a result of her own agonising experience. And yet even then, the question still remains as to what could have driven her to kill another human being in such a horrible manner??? Greed and self centered people go to any extent to satisfy their needs. They practically become blind and cannot see others  interests.

Welfare measures have taken a back seat in the present Government. Wherever it might have happened, it's not fair and immediate steps have to be taken to set the things right.

That's sad because at this age they may not be another source of income. Government should look over it.

It is the rant on twitter of Bhuvith Shetty who I know, is from near here at Bantwal, no one needs to take him seriously because he makes more noise and showing of his rage more than anything else  and probably wants to be known - does not mean that Kalburgi was killed by religious groups there is also some property dispute ! http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-kannada-writer-mm-kalburgi-shot-dead-in-dharwad-karnataka-2120040

There is indeed more to it than has come out until now, but whatever the reasons may be, the question still remains what could have happened to have driven her to kill the poor girl in such a manner. The way she was killed, the case is similar to killing of a film producer a couple of years ago, I forgot his name. So before killing Sheena, this woman had been planning for ages and that shows she is twisted in her mind and soul.

@ Manoj Kumar Lamba   Should reservation be given on the basis of caste or the economical condition of people?   I found this article on the net which gives some very valid points which many of our esteemed politicians seem to overlook since caste based reservations work for their self interest ! http://www.youthforequality.com/our-agenda/why-against-caste-based-reservation.aspx

Gulshan Kumar Ajmani said thank you to rambabu for his/her reply to the topic Karnataka rationalist Kalburgi killed .
ANY how, I do not subscribe to the fact that Rationalists indulging in delivering inflammatory speeches and rousing the public against anybody. I know Rationalists in AP like GORA never indulged in such inflammatory speeches or provoked the people. They simply express their opinions about the existence or non existence  of God.
