My Grandparents have told me lots of stories about partition. How they came out from that war and saved their life. Its very bad tragedy they have faced. My grandparents were from pakistan. Sometimes there used come tears in my eyes while listening there stories. They are very old, but they still remember what they suffered and saw during partition.

Clean politics is my answer. politics sans Self seeking and self centered  people who care and live for the welfare of the people who rested faith on them and handed over the power. Our elected representatives should not forget that people are the Masters who employed them as custodians to keep their interests. Not to be treated like slaves. And finally the elected members should remember that people's mandate is the ultimate.

There is a famous line described by great motivational Author, speaker Shiv Khera " Winner don't do different things, they do things differently".  Hero is not extra-ordinary, but his/ her work makes him/her Extra-ordinary. Those people are one who put 'extra' efforts in doing ordinary things. That is a great lesson one can learn from him.

Politicians of India care more for their interests and for the interests of their family members. After Partition the Partition too this trend continues. Can we ever get rid of this plague known as "Politicians "?

Even after Independence and partition and the tragedy and human loss that followed the event , we have had a few more such tragedies taking place - after Indira Gandhi was killed and thousands of innocent Sikhs were butchered and burnt alive with active participation of the ruling party , the leaders responsible are free and leading a life of luxury ...The problem with our politicians is that they have become demons caring only about themselves and will do just about anything to hold on to the power that has been given to them ...

(second post will be deleted if posted on same day) 2. Please make it at least 60 words per post to qualify 3. Please stay on the topic 4. Please do not quote but write an independent post 5. Please do not ditto any other post but input your own views 6. Four (4) members will qualify for Rs 25/ each selected at the end of contest ( result will be declared on next Monday) 7. A member must write at least FOUR posts to qualify for inclusion in winners list. The Topic-  Hardik says he will spread the reservation movement in Twenty Seven states of the country. I wonder if our government has any concrete plan to counter his plans or will it be limited to teargassing, Lathi charge and firing on demonstrators? It's time to handle all anarchy and undue demands with strict hands and show anarchists their right place.  My question is-  Do you want more anarchists in this country at the cost of innocent people suffering for the ambition of few select ones. What do you think our government should do in this matter?  PS- I am not in the contest so number of posts is not applicable for me.

Indeed it is the Power brokers who are responsible for this greatest tragedy. And I believe this malady will continue as long as the Power brokers are in the political scenario.

I have blood-curdling,spine-chilling reading experiences of unimaginable cruelty committed on hapless masses by satans of both communities- even pregnant mothers' unborn were disemboweled to the hellish fury and pleasure of those brutes.I believe if Gandhiji's body was taken by Godse, his spirit was spirited away by his own trusted lieutenants who presented him a fait accomplished in the form of their deadly sin by reducing themselves as dirty Power Brokers.I won't name them as there are a few who ridiculously place them next to God,if not above!!

Ambitions are planted in a child by parents and teachers. Parents tend to think of an even yet unborn child as someone who is going to achieve the parents’ own’s unfulfilled ambitions. What this ambition to grow and earn more, More... and more are for ? Do we ever realize that everybody leaves this world Empty Handed ? Chase the riches. But remember to use them for good deeds so that world remembers your good deeds. It is your good deeds are remembered. Not How much wealth you amassed. http://themindunleashed.org/2015/08/everybody-leaves-this-world-empty-handed.html

I agree with both you AND Chinmoy. Power hunger politicians are the bane of this country. I wonder if the days of Clean and selfless politics will ever come?

I was born much later like most of us but my great grandfather had sensed it much earlier and decided to shift from Lahore to Kurukshetra in 1930 disposing all unmovable property but the relatives who stayed back there suffered loss of lives and property. My grandfather served irrigation department of UP and settled in Mathura. But the way things turned out for the fulfillment of political ambitions of few power hungry persons supported by ignorant destroyed this country and its people. Those took the power in hands thought they have taken over as kings of the country and behaved like kings and still not out of that mentality. In fact, they compromised on every stage just to grab the power and still doing so at the cost of pride of this nation. What we got in turn in place of democracy if I use the words of Chinmoy, he once used in his one particular thread "Mobocracy" and hardheaded, stubborn set of politicians at the helm of affairs with ways of monarchy and anarchy. Now, Hardik Patel has joined the Indian politics with intention of spreading the reservation movement to 27 states of India, who will save this nation.

A hero is proactive. He takes the charge. And he takes the responsibility for success or failure without passing the buck. Whatever he does he does with Heart and soul. Never  half hearted.

Wisdom lies in utilizing whatever little time a parent has got in the child upbringing. Parents may be hard ;pressed for time busy in office or any profession. It's mandatory to attend to their needs. No excuses whatsoever. If it cannot be done, better not have children at all. It's the parents responsibility to attend to the needs of their children for bringing them in to this world.
