Contrary to this general belief that Yoga should be learnt under the supervision of an expert, I learned it on my own. I learned Yoga through Books. No harm done or no side effects.   I am not saying it for selected few but as every Yoga Guru and Books on Yoga instruct to not to practice it without proper guidance.  But I have no intention to interfere in your belief so it's matter of choices. Actually self learning of Yoga is not restricted to a select few now. Once it was like that. With the availability of so many "Teach your self " series and videos on the net anyone can learn without the help of a guide.

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to vijay for his/her reply to the topic New: Community Engagement Benefits.
The initiatives are welcome. As @Suni51 has said the "articles" section also needs to be visited. The payment for articles should be higher than at present because of the labour one has to put in compared to other activities of the forum. Decent payment will attract better writers and can become a attractive feature of Boddunan.

Even after more than 6 decades of independence, the citizens of our country are still not on the same page in terms of fundamental rights such as food, shelter, security and sanitation. While reservation did work for a few, it should have been hardlined that once the benefactors obtained the desired education and became financially settled, they should have surrendered their reservation facilities so that those facilities may be extended to other deserving. However, those people rose above their lowly beginnings, obtained education, homes, money, good jobs, everything they wanted, and they still avail reservation facilities which puts great strain on the economics of our country. Reservation cannot be completely done away at this point, but the whole basis on which rests needs to be scrapped and reevaluated. Strictly speaking, only the people below poverty line should be given reservation facilities. Currently, it is not reservation per se that is behind the problems of anarchy we are seeing, but the corruption that is happening under the guise of reservation. So far as the anarchic situation that we are seeing today created by Hardick Patel, it is evident that the brains behind his agitation belong to someone else, not Hardick and we need not guess who it might be. It is nothing but another attempt to sideline people's attention from more concerning issues of corruption, famine, etc.

It's true, over a period Ramayana has undergone several changes. Another aspect is Ramayana written by Valmiki and Kamba there are lot of differences. But what I feel with the advanced technology there are a plethora of devices which can find out the authenticity of these mythologies.

Ramayana is definitely a true story but as it got passed down through generations there are bound to be some exaggerations... It is both History and Mythology since it forms part of Hindu culture and belief. However, personally I have always liked Mahabharat better because of its vast canvas and the intricacy of the plot ...

I agree. These facts depicting like Ravan with 10 heads  make people believe that Ramayan is just another mythology. Anyhow, now the new revelation according to the link vouches that Ramayana really happened. Now for the time being we have to believe until another solid proof comes with which negatives the claim  given in the link. It's essential to read the link article before we jump to conclusions.

Well,so far the great epic has been believed to be a Mythology with a lot of reality by all the worshipers of Lord Rama. The undelievable things like ten heads of Ravana, Kumbhakarna sleeping through half of his life and other demons or any unbelievable stuff was accepted as an exaggeration of a true story by many people amongst the Hindus.  The latest series by Amish Patel..'The Ram Chandra Series' of which the first one..The Scion of Ikshvaku  is written in a very believable way...A compelling, engrossing read..I'm now waiting for his second book release.

Reservation is the main obstacle in the progress of our country. Our country will not progress well, till we have reservation in our system. Reservation should be completely removed from our system and people who are demanding for reservation should be tackled strictly by our government. What Hardik Patel have done in last few days? Only loss to our economy and public property. Such people should not be allowed to do strikes and movements and should be handled strictly.

Hate politics is an immoral activity of the highest order practiced by our politicians to get that mileage in order to stick to power. This is undesirable. This type of strategy sets a bad example. People are carried away by the politicians speeches because they elected their leaders and firmly believe whatever their leaders say as true. Thus the politicians use unsuspecting people who elected them as the pawns to achieve their ends. . This is the very factor that contributes to Instability in all spheres of activity. This is what i do not expect to see in a democratic set up. I expect that ideal democratic system that's free from these pseudo and greedy politicians

A bit of exploration is required. Now a days it's not a difficult task considering the fact that there are a plethora of News papers around. Most of them carry articles on different issues. Reading at least a News paper daily, one can come across not only with new themes but also new vocabulary. .
