Shampa Sadhya wrote: In the question you have used the word 'action' and this can be interpreted in many ways. Action can be day to day work, professional work and even emotional act is also an action. Loving someone is also an action according to me. I would say that I love all my most dear ones selflessly and this is a fact but a little twist is there. I don't expect them to shower on me materialistic happiness but definitely I would feel happy and privileged if they too love me in return. I think love has to produce love  or else it causes some distance among people in every type of relationship. There is always some expectation when you do something, either in kind, cash or emotion or at least a feeling satisfaction which spurs you on to do something more..Giving a helping hand to the needy is human and to a certain extent one's duty and if it is considered a big thing, it just goes to show how selfish the average citizen has become ! Emotions are mutual be it between parent and children, couple, siblings or friends ..So, there is expectation!

Like it says right at the beginning it is subjective and left to the individual because what suits some may not suit me and vice versa..The eight early morning routine given by the eight successful executives is different to each other ..

Karnataka was very liberal with languages so much so that Kannadigas learnt tamil and telugu to speak with people from those states but it became such a practice that noone was willing to reciprocate by learnin Kannada while living in the state  and that's how Vatal Nagrag and others began to stand firm that anyone coming to live here shd have a working knowledge of Kannada and some other measures...Earlier Karnatak would have agreed to have Hindi as National language but of late I see them becoming as firm in their stand against that..At the same time having Hindi as the National language is probably more agreeable that Tamil ..

Beauty that remains forever is real beauty. That's inner beauty. Physical beauty goes into oblivion in no time.

Beauty can just be skin deep, because many beautiful people fall flat when they open their mouth and start speaking...So, physical beauty without other attributes is really not at all that attractive !

A dream should be something feasible so that one can pursue to achieve his cherished goals.

Realistic dream is good for performance. But day dreaming or building castlesin air is an idle man;s past time.

chinmoymukherjee wrote:I think the decision taken by this government is as illogical as the demand made by some retired army officers. How can one demand pension of an amount which he did not earn! With all my love and respect to them,I can't justify their demands. They are well paid with liberal perks and subsidies even after retirement. I apprehend this might have opened Pandora's box with similar demands coming up from other sections of government sectors. sir, there is truth in what you say. The other organizatuions especuallypara military forces can also make similar demands. Civil pensioners can also. But there is one difference. Civilians reture at age of sixty years. The army persons retire in many cases as early as 35 years.  Their life span is not less than civilian counter parts. To some extent, pay commission at end of every ten years revises pension also. Moreover there is additioal pension of 20% at 80 years, 35% at 85 years and so on. At 100 years, the pension is increased 100%.   It is   a just demand that a pensioner retiring early should not get less than that of another pensioner who retires later ar same rank with same amount of service.  It appears that the army pesons are still not fully satisfied. They want revision every year wgereas  govt. has agreed to revise every five years. There is another point. Most army persons retiring at young age are reenployed in civil departments. Then either their army service is counted in civil or they get salary in addition to pension. In such cases, on retirement from civil, they get two pensions- one army and another civil. My uncle also got two pensions- one army as Subedar clerk and another as retired civil employee.  On the whole, army pesnioners are not so neglected as is being made out.

rambabu wrote: Your friend' father is an ideal and exemplary lawyer who fought for justice and succeeded. The very fact the Govt. has appointed him speaks of his integrity. My question is how many such honest lawyers are there ? Most of the lawyers help in mutilating the facts and misguiding the courts. As I wrote above in a post, a lawyer is duty bound to support his client in best possible way. But in the process, he should not himeslf be involved in any forgery or tampering with evidence.  It is obvious that the lawyer would give every possible plea in support of his client. It is for judge to fully and independently considerthe plea of prosecution and defence lawyers and decide the case.

Yes. There are people who act for their satisfaction that they have done something good for the society. Such charitable activities do not naturally expect any returns.

I agree.  If only cash is to be decidedand article has been approved, there is no problem in its publishing.

Fair enough.  Just now i heard Telugu has been abolished completely for all practical purposes by the TamiNadu government. Telugus form 37% of the TN's population. In this scenario of language rivalries, it is better to follow what you said. Let all the languages be National level status.
