Please let me tell you something about the rules of forums
We do not post in two boxes in a row, Please wait until someone else has responded or answer all in the same box.

Thanks for the welcome Suni51. What does 'posting in two boxes in a row mean'.. I didn't get that. It would help if you care to explain.
Let me explain. This means writing two posts one after the another. As I have now written a post, you can write another post. But if I or somebody else had not written, you could not write.
You mean on the same thread or posting two new topics. I would be happy to have this clarified so I follow the forum rules properly.
Hi Sofs, I guess you have been confused ...The rules here says that you are not supposed to post more than one post in a row, meaning one after the other on the same thread. There is no limit to how many comments you can post but you wait until someone else comments and you post after that !

vijay replied to the topic OROP Announced by the Government after 42 years of deadlock !.
Modi does not make any blunders. he is a shrewd calculator of how to garner votes. by promising OROP to ex-servicemen he got their votes almost en bloc. His purpose is solved. The returns to the servicemen will be at the cost of the nation. By now it has become a perfect strategy. Before every election make huge promises and get votes from the electorate at the cost of state finances. If one cannot deliver there is always the irresponsible opposition party to be blamed. I do not know whether it is a form of collective bribery. Election commission should look into it. OROP issue is almost settled now.

Manoj Kumar Lamba created new topic Tuition after school hours, what you think? .
These days we can see lots of students go to tuition after school hours, even students from infant classes. Do you think it is necessary to send kids tuition after school hours? What is the benefit of sending kids to schools if they are not able to teach properly and parents feel a need to send their kids to tuition?

Resilience is directly connected with your ability to stand against the adversities without taking to heel.

I was going through some old film magazine and one of the top actress of the sixties was asked, who was the most beautiful woman in the film Industry and after pondering over she replied , it was Lata Mangeshkar because when Lata sings you can only imagine a very beautiful woman singing and you feel that she is as perfect and beautiful looking as the voice she sings in..

Its interesting that while thoughts originate in the vernacular and the processing of thoughts to a large extent happen in the same language it is instantly translated to English without effort and with great ease. Very often we find the vernacular has an apt word or phrase to describe something which is missing in English. We just have to make do with the nearest synonym available.
This can also lead to many amusing situations , when people without realising translate their thoughts word by word into another language for example English ...

rambabu replied to the topic What is the meaning of prayer?.
Thanking the God for all he bestowed on us is the ideal way of Praying. And venting your frustrations is also good. But, there should not be "Ifs and BUts."
what i want to drive home the point is, " God, If you put an end to my frustrations...I take a vow to come to your temple in Kedarnath and offer you a crown made of Gold."

Shampa Sadhya replied to the topic What is the meaning of prayer?.
I believe in prayer but I have my own way to pray which doesn't match with most of the others. I pray to God before I leave the bed in the morning and just before sleeping at night that too after getting into the bed. It's very occasional that at home I stand in front of the place where images of God are kept and pray. I thank God, I request Him for something or the other and the interesting part is I can simply vent my frustrations to Him.

rambabu replied to the topic Writing in other languages.
Of course. That is understood. While thinking in your Mother tongue and translating in to English, the influence of mother tongue should not creep in..
Example. " Do Din Ke neeche." in your Mother tongue Hindi, should not be. "Under two Days, " in English.

rambabu replied to the topic How do you feel when someone interrupts you?.
Exactly. I agree with you. If the person after hearing what you said interrupts you, there is no problem at all. Without hearing what you said, if the person interrupts you, it irritates you.
Let me put this way.
I and my friend both are book lovers. And we met on the way. I started telling something. He waved his hand indicating to stop.
He said, " Do you know, there is a Book exhibition going on."?
"Oho.. I too wanted to say that there is a Book exhibition..",
This explains all.
