Till the late sixties the govt. schools used to impart good education with similar or less infrastructure.

Mentioning someone's physical color is racist. Your agreeing or not agreeing is not the issue. Have you ever mentioned the color of non blacks while praising them. This is racism in practice. Bringing in the names of famous "black" people does not justify the racist remark. The choice to withdraw is entirely yours. In such case Admin should also look in and moderate as feelings due to racist remarks should not be permitted. I have expressed my feelings dispassionately.

The Govt. schools do not teach because of lack of infrastructure. This aspect is well utilized by the Private schools to their advantage.

I would say  teach what is needed.. My son who is in the 9th std does what my other son does in final year Med school. What is the need? The kid doesn't understand nor does he need it right now. Get the foundation right! The text book is full of mistakes both grammar and conceptual. What is the need to put such crap together?

I hope you will enjoy the site the way you have submitted your first article on this site. Please let me tell you something about the rules of forums We do not post in two boxes in a row, Please wait until someone else has responded or answer all in the same box. I am sure you will enjoy the site with members of this site. Thanks and welcome. Thanks for the welcome Suni51. What does 'posting in two boxes in a row mean'.. I didn't get that. It would help if you care to explain.  Let me explain. This means writing two posts one after the another. As I have now written a post, you can write another post. But if I or somebody else had not written, you could not write.  You mean on the same thread or posting two new topics. I would be happy to have this clarified so I follow the forum rules properly.  Hi Sofs, I guess you have been confused ...The rules here says that you are not supposed to post more than one post in a row, meaning one after the other on the same thread. There is no limit to how many comments you can post  but you wait until someone else comments and you post after that ! Thank you Usha. Oh finally that's what it means.. No two consequential posts on one thread. I was thinking it means not starting two threads in one go.. usually the spammers do that.. so I thought this was about combating the problem.

I have seen the family in my opposite flat that they send their  children for classes. After reaching home they are so tired they without eating fall asleep.

In spite of getting a huge hike , many of them seem to have more demands .. http://ex-servicemenwelfare.blogspot.in/2015/09/officers-and-lower-ranks-biggest-orop.html

It is also due to the high population of students and the corresponding very low availability of seats in higher education institutions. This creates a tremendous pressure of competition for the limited no. of seats. Parents therefore start preparing children right from their infancy. Also quality of education has gone down and good teachers are also less in number. Commercialisation has set in due to which children many a times are taught after school hours by same teachers who hardly teach during school hours bur at extra cost. Parents have no choice.

Schools and parents force students to give 100 %, but not all the students can give hundred percent. For this parents are advised to send their kids to tuition after school hours. In this situation kids have no time to play or do other things. Also some schools do their business. Teachers ask students to go for tuition for better results. Teacher get salary from schools and make good money by providing tuition.

No. I will not. Lata is black. Koel is black.A stark reality. Martin Luther king is black. can you say no ? what you raised is a meaningless controversy.

Commercialization of education is the main cause for the sorry state of affairs in the sphere of education. In addition to this there are parents who think sending their wards for tuition in extra hours is an essential status symbol.

@ Rambabu states that koel is black and when it sings all heads turn towards it. I think this is a racist remark because it suggests that unless black persons do something unusual others will not look at them. He should withdraw the statement as it hurts the sentiments of black colored persons.

Why should members bring in Sonia Gandhi in a discussion which concerns National language , she is not a language expert or for that matter is anyway connected to the topic LOL ...Some people love Modi bashing at the slightest given opportunity and some love to periodically start discussion on the so called saffron brigade bashing everybody around, so hardly matters here when once in a while someone else be it fake Gandhis or whoever gets spoken about when there is need to do so.

Though it was not declared as National language, for all practical purposes English  is present in every walk of life.. Let English be the National language. It will not hurt any body's pride. Rather they invite English with open hands.

It would be a tragic flaw to fall for physical characteristics alone.  Honestly after a many years of being married I do not notice my husbands slightly balding head.. I only notice the love that has grown deeper over the years.  I married my friend. We feel for each other because we compliment and adjust with each other. That is the truth that has made us last together for years and years now!

The system of Tuition after school hours is the outcome of many different things  1, Nuclear families where students cannot ask the help of an educated elderly relative 1, Working parents who are unable to devote enough time to their school going children 2, Unlimited number of students in a class, sometimes as many as 70 students in a class which the teacher cannot handle. 3, Total commercialisation of the education system  No doubt it is bad and is not at all healthy but who will bring in the reforms?

Tolerance is a great virtue, which is usually expected from others. The moment it is said Hindi could be declared a national language , the tolerance of non Hindi speaking goes down considerably. Similar would be the case if say Tamil or Telugu would be declared a sole national language for non Tamil/Telugu speaking persons. In light of this intolerance it would be prudent to declare English as a national language. After all Hindi movies are all the time coming under English names. The titles of Hindi movies are in English only. In the vegetable market most of the vegetables are known by their English names. People always demanding chicken, meat or fish or prawn not by their local names. If you care fully observe no one speaks in Hindi or local language 100%. After every two or tree words their are English words in the sentence. As usual most of us being hypocritical do not accept the reality. By declaring English as a national language we will be doing a great service to the weaker sections who today are deprived of studying english right from class 1 or 2. Then English will be taught from class 1 all over the country. This will give a level playing field to all children all over the country. Children shall study their mother tongue and Hindi also but as second and third language. I wish it could happen. (By the way if one does not like Sonia Gandhi or Indira Gandhi why broadcast it in the forum at regular intervals.)

It maybe because parents are too ambitious. Some parents put so much pressure on young children so that they can live their dream through their children.  Anyways the school system is also to be blamed.. They bite off more than they can chew. The syllabus is so vast that the children don't get their foundation strong.  It is psychological and physical pressure adding up on children that is leading to all the suicides and unacceptable behavior in schools.
