You don't have to go back into time to play gulli Danda but go to a place where children playing it. Just do that and see you are not an unwelcome player
In a place like Vizag which is a cosmopolitan city and would be Smart city, there are remote chances of playing Gilli danda. Even in suburban villages People are seen playing cricket.

suni51 replied to the topic Travel without VISA to 59 countries with your Indian Passport !.
I checked that list and found that most countries listed there are the ones where most people would go seldom or not at all. However it would be wise to check if those countries need VOA or any permits and the fee charged at arrival point (along with necessary documents required).

Manoj Kumar Lamba replied to the topic Tuition after school hours, what you think? .
In remote areas and villages, the motive of the students going to school is mainly getting in some government job after passing 10 or 12th. They don't focus on marks, rather they help their family in earning. Most of these students join army or police force after completing their 10 or 12th education. Only a few which are rich enough to complete their studies will go to college or further studies. Most of the students in villages are self learning and not go to any tuition.

I have seen many students from remote places studying in schools run by Panchayats excelling in their studies. And a few cases of such students could find a place in the Administrative services. But , it is very essential to see that the education system needs a thorough overhauling.

True sir. I stayed in many places and successfully able to interact with the people using either Hindi or English or both at times.
Then why we needto declare any language as national. Despite foreign origin, English is our national language just as Sonia Gandhi is our national leader. Although not declared national, anything used everywhere in nation is national.
There is no need to bring Sonia Gandhi into this since there are still quite a few question marks about her ? and to compare her to our national issue is not right since she has nothing to do with Indian languages ...
Sonia Gandhi is just an example. In fact, what we adopt become ours or Indian in spite of foreign origin. Similarly something of Indian origin if discarded is no more Indian. Sonia gandhi is a very much Indian leader in spite of her foreign origin. Another example: Hockey is our national game even though this is not of Indian origin. also while mentioning Sonia, I was not serious and this was in lighter vein.
Point taken..

Now we can travel to 59 countries without having a Visa issued by the host country. This makes it easier for those interested in travelling to new places because often getting Visas prove to be an obstacle to those who want to travel quickly.Often getting a VISA to certain countries is a long drawn out procedure.. The link gives a list which includes mostly African countries and a few South East Asian countries like Macau and South Korea and Hongkong.

Taking Tuition is a trend that is very much part of a city life whereas in village schools mostly run by the state governments inspite of the lack of infra structure and often reduced staff , children still do well in studies , studying with their own effort because they feel the need to do so.It becomes important for them to do better in life and for that they realise that education is the only solution !
