I ;love Huffing ton post,. That's up to the individual concerned to believe the veracity of a particular channel.

I never take stuff from Huffington post seriously. However, the author seems to contradict herself. On one hand she is crying about how males are given preferred over women and on the other she resents the reservation and equal opportunity provided by the government. Somehow the article lacks focus. It would have been great if she only spoke about attitudes and behaviors and left it at that.. she has confused it with other issues which has robbed it of its impact.

I thought, by this time you got acclimatized with the Work proper of here. Regarding Forums and other earning aspects are very well laid out in this site. My advise is to stay around for few days just observing the activities. It doesn't need a genius to understand.

Simplicity, openness and helping nature are the qualities I appreciate in others. The people who have some proud attitude then I cannot be drawn towards that person.

Sofs created new topic How do you do boddunan.
I am new here.. so I am just curious to know how you work here effectively. Do you wait for each article to be approved before you submit another? I am not sure what is expected so I am waiting for approval before I submit the second one.  If you do so.. you may end up submitting just three or four articles per month form my (scant) observation of how this site functions.  How many articles do you submit per month? How much time do you spend on the forums and on this site in general per day? I know that people are very different and each one has a different style of working.. I am just trying to make a Boddunan schedule for myself. Since I work on other sites too I am trying to fit this in neatly into my schedule. Any help or suggestions are welcome.

The legal professionals can easily understand and catch their client so they have the right to refuse the wrongdoers and in this way they can help the society. Even if clearly false one, the accused has to get some advocate to present his case. If accused himself does not fight his case and seeks advocate, he must get one. Otherwise there can be no legal proceedings. Court cannot decide a case by hearing arguments against him only This will be against natural justice. Even if does not get an advocate, court will appoint some advocate to present his case. Yes. If an accused is not in a position to employ a lawyer to defend himself, court itself appoints an advocate.

I have nothing against any religious festival but yes, Durga puja is a celebration time especially because of meeting people at the pandals, have feast and I must not ignore the fact that I love to offer special prayer to Goddess Durga on the day of Ashtami. Bhai Dooj is another occasion when it's just a happy family time. Having fun among brothers and sisters along with the parents and guardians make the day all the more special. For me Holi is good to watch on television or from far away but sometimes when I am forced to play, I never become a spoil sport though never enjoy it wholeheartedly. Diwali is definitely a great time to watch firecrackers all around. Though I never got an opportunity to get extremely involved in the celebration of Christmas, Eid and so on, I definitely respect the charm attached with it.

If people stick to their opinions, let it be so.one cannot forcibly convince who is saddled firmly with his own point of view.

I think you made a mistake. When your child was scared of Hindi,  instead of making him comfortable and find a way to create interest in Hindi, you switched over to french. Thus multiplying his fear, which forever haunts him. The moment he hears "Hindi " he shrieks and shudders with fear as if he has seen a night mare.

My experience was similar.. I couldn't relate to most of the conversations happening there, most of them were so caught up in their own achievements of those of their children.. I was lost in that crowd.  My life is simple and I am happy.. that is what matters to me at the end of the day.  Absolutely ! over a period of time in certain ways we become set in our choices , more so after you have your own family and your whole life revolves around them ! Not just that, our thinking evolves and broadens over time .. but some people seem to be stuck to the same well. Its so difficult to relate to them.  I so agree with you ...It is a pain relating and communicating with such people. It is always their ideas that are the best and their way of dong things that is the right way of doing etc etc..

Gulshan Kumar Ajmani said thank you to suni51 for his/her reply to the topic No respect for woman - Delhi scenario.
In a city with over 20 millions' population cannot be judged based on couple of incidents. We have far greater incidents against men in the same  city but no one cares to write about them.

While I agree that we cannot leave it to the school system.. the school system puts the fear of languages in the child.. My little son is so afraid of Hindi that I decided to let him take French. I'd rather that he be less stressed with languages keeping in mind the heavy curriculum. I remember my teacher in third standard put the love of poetry in my heart with the way she read it and explained it to us.  She sowed the seed of love for poetry and even though the school system didn't do much to help it grow .. the seed grew on its own. We always look up to the teachers for our inspiration as kids.  No matter what a mother says a kid will always say.. my teacher said this.. even if the teacher was wrong.

That's the motto of these discussion forums. By posting different views of different members spices up discussions. If everybody says " YES... YES " discussions become monotonous.

While agreeing with what you said, I would like to say, if such things happen in other places, people would have dismissed it. But i already told you why this news has gained importance. If Rambabu refuses to offer his seat to a standing woman, nobody bothers. If Narendra Modi himself does this press goes gaga over it.

We have no dearth of shopping centers and malls in our country these days and one can see that most of them are packed to capacity during the evenings on week days and throughout the weekends .I wonder if all those people are seriously shopping or just spending time looking at stuff , basically doing window shopping and relaxing with family and friends ! So, is shopping a relaxation for you or do you go to the shops only when you have something to buy?

I for one always prefer to go back and peep and savor those moments of my past, which I'm missing today.   Its great that we have different ideas.. other wise this discussion would be a boring I agree with you session. Memories are made of the good times of yesteryears .. We can always use it to take peeks into the past with that great tool we have at our disposal 24/7.

I too was a student of an  English medium school. ( Methodist Boys High school, Hyderabad). But developing the interest in other languages not solely lies with the school. Parents have a major role in this regard. Despite the odds against me to learn Telugu, my parents encouraged me starting with children literature in Telugu. We cannot leave every thing to  the system. Students and parents should explore the ways for achieving the goal of learning a new language.
