Very true, it is just not possible to devote one hour in the morning when it is the busiest time of the day except may be during weekends...So, I walk in the evenings which is the same as walking in the mornings since the health benefits one gets is the same without any stress that one has in the morning !
So True. I love my evening walks though I would much prefer it in the cool of the morning. The health benefits are the same. Its a choice one makes.. if a choice is made for the better its good enough for me.
Right from childhood mornings for us were meant for studies and helping our parents in whatever little way we could, since both were working. So, for me going for a walk was during evenings and I am most comfortable continuing the practice even now and I also have the advantage of walking more than an hour if I feel like it since there is more time ..
That is really wonderful. I am tired after 45 minutes. My stamina gets lower by the year I guess. No wonder you can trek for 8 hours.
Honestly, that was once in a lifetime trek for me and it was more like proving myself to my children LOL..By the end of it I was aching all over, pain in my arms, neck, back, you name it !The next two days I really had to take it easy

Whether one admits or not, the fashion Industry is big business and it is feeding thousands of people, and they are all not fools because to succeed anywhere in life you need to be smart and intelligent too .. People run after success and that's what makes them run after celebrities, follow their style etc etc. I myself used to read film magazines when I was in college and I still love to go through old magazines called Film India which is mostly in black and white , which closed shop in the sixties I guess , that I cam across in my ancestral house. They are very interesting and gives you an insight into what celebrity life was then !

Anil, many people are highly confused about what is junk and what is healthy and I see many people branding even healthy food that they are not familiar with as junk which is wrong ! For example Pizza, Sphagetti, Momos, steamed wantons, tacos are all staple foods in their country of origin like rice, rotis and dhal are for us. So, we need to look into each food item, analyse it and then only brand it as junk food rather than generalise and brand everything as Junk..

The values of respecting elders is fast disappearing. It is actually the attitude of parents that seeps down to the children. Parents now shell out large sums of amounts as fees to school and think that the fact that they shell out so much money is an obligation to the teachers.
I agree that they shell out a packet demanding services from the school for that is fine. But disrespect of teachers should not arise from that.
Recently my friend a teacher told me that her colleague was threatened by a student that he would take her to the press for scolding him. Does the Media have a role to play in this sorry state of affairs?

They say that there is no better educational institution than home and there are no better teachers than parents. Hence if the parents live up to the expectations of this principle. children learn the life's values. Else vagabonds and rebels.
