Jallikattu is banned in Tamil Nadu saying that it is cruel to animals. On Bakrid many animals are killed and many slaughter houses are running in India, are these not cruel to animals.? Can any court or government ban these kind of cruelty against animals?

We always want a very powerful and strong opposition  to criticize the ruling party. Then only the ruling party can find out their mistakes. In a democratic form of government, strong opposition is must to bring stability. The main job of the opposition is to bring the administration up to account. Powerful opposition help the ruling party to understand their fault. I think that the BJP government understood their wrongs when Rahul Gandhi raised his hand against the discrimination on the basis of caste in Hyderabad incident.

I agree.though the law has stopped Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu , no one cared about the ban. In other places, law implementors, simply looked the other side. Ban on cruelty towards animals, proved to be ineffective.

Now, it's up to you to decide whether that is decency or vulgarity.

Painting is painting, we can accept it even if the brushes of the artists go beyond the limit. But what will be the reaction of the people when they see a lady lying down in a museum without wearing dress?

Jincy Aby chosen the best answer for the question What makes you good?.
My answer will be, I will not cheat myself. Remember, One can cheat others but  not all forever. There is one thing called conscience. Can anybody, including myself run away from  this conscience ?

Animals are also living things like human-beings. They also have pain like us. Never do such cruelty towards animals for our enjoyments. I am totally against using animals for sports and other activities. Time is up to stop such horrific and unacceptable festivities from the earth.

News is news, why should channels decide what to show and not show. Then they are biased. Malda should also be covered as was Dadri.

I agree we should see Swami as a Hindu preacher of great merit and not see him as a reformer. That way his appreciation is much better.

When communal clashes occurred in Malda and Purnia, media and other news channels turned their eyes to avoid more problems even if some political parties have tried to build it up. According to media these places are crime-prone areas and so they didn't feel it was important to give too much publicity to this news. That was a conscious policy of the channel.

That is why I had suggested animals to be replaced by humans. Have you noticed how mercilessly the tail of the bull is pulled by the Tamils in Jallikattu . Now someone will tell us that the bull is tamed to not feel the pain.

Humans are the only species who dress to protect from weather effects.

Why is it being conveniently forgotten that a Central BJP minister was exerting pressure to get certain students punished for having a tiff with ABVP students in Hyderabad University. The HRD ministry was following up repeatedly in the matter and the VC finally succumbed and threw the students out of college, library, hostel etc.  and they were also boycotted by other students. It does not matter if he was a Dalit or not. He was a human being. Where does secularism, pseudosecularism, etc come into the picture. If opposition politicians will not show sympathy with ruling party affected persons then who will? Some members are shouting hoarse fr no rhyme or reason and clearly showing their bias. They do not want their party to be criticised at all but they will pass judgments left and right on others. This is not fair.
