yes, I agree, but Indians must also see that Pakistan flags are not hoisted in India. We read about it everyday in Kashmir, but can you imagine I have seen a Pakistan flag flying in Bhendi Bazar in Mumbai and nobody was bothered.
Everything related to Terrorism will be set right with time. Now Modi government is fiercely determined to check Terrorism.

You are right , we lack national character. But Pakistan jailing a young man and that too for 10 years is something that shows the hatred of the Pakistani establishment for India. We show our weakness everywhere. Only yesterday Lanka has taken tens of our fishermen as prisoners

Due to vote bank politics in India some people can have Pakistani flag or ISIS flag and nothing will happen to those who do this. We have seen people saying slogans against India and in favor of ISIS or Pakistan, but no action is taken against them. We should make strong rules for people who are working against our country.

Anyone could see that Nawaz Sharief is not a person to be trusted ever, especially after what Pakistan has been doing after he took over ...The man is even worse than the previous leaders and to believe that he is going to change his color is being naive ! I doubt if Pakistan - India ties would ever be friendly because there are far too many issues that have been let to develop since Independence by our politicians and leaders and now we are paying the price for it !

This jail term for a young man for flying the Indian flag, shows the Pakistan mindset. In India so many keep flying Pakistan flag and nothing happens, but in Pakistan this cannot be tolerated and within 3 days the young man is jailed for 10 years. Can anybody still feel there will be peace between India and Pak?

No. There is no chance of Peace between India and Pakistan. At one time, Nawaz Sharif - Modi meet to unite together to counter Terrorism, kindled a ray of hope in me. But now, seeing how the things are happening, that small hope dwindled.

Those who live by sword die by the sword. Pakistan has pampered and sheltered hounds to target India. Now those very Hounds are pouncing on its masters. There must be an end to everything, may be happy or tragic.I do not have an iota of doubt about Pakistan's end. A tragic end definitely. Pakistan's " Napak " deeds will come to an end sooner than later.

MG Singh created new article Battles at Imphal and Kohima: Failure of Bose and the INA.
Most Indians have romantic notions of Subhas Chandra Bose. He is credited with leading the Indian National army, which was an ally of the Japanese. Bose had decided to throw in his lot with the Fascists led by Hitler and Mussolini. He also joined up with the Military leadership of Japan led by General Hideki Tojo. Whether he was right or wrong is immaterial. As historians we have to evaluate the contribution of the Indian national Army and Bose himself in the battles in the Far East.
The Indian National Army was made up off captured Indian POWs. These prisoners were given the option of freedom and joining the INA. Bose himself addressed many POW camps and appealed to the POWs to side with the Japanese and join the INA. Unfortunately, not many POWs joined the INA. A reading of the autobiography of Lt General Harbaksh Singh is quite revealing. He was taken a POW by the Imperial army as a Captain in Burma. He was promised a promotion and freedom, in case he joined the INA. Harbaksh refused to join the INA, though one of his colleagues Captain Mohan Singh joined the INA and was made a General. Harbaksh goes on to add that not many POWs joined the INA.
What was the strength of the INA? This point is glossed over by most persons who trumpet about the activities of the INA. The fact is that the INA was never more than 40,000. This is just about 2 divisions and in contrast to the British Indian Army, where Indians numbered 2.5 million can be considered minuscule.
Obviously you cannot win a war with just 40,000 soldiers. Hence the bulk of the fighting in Burma was done by the Imperial army which captured Rangoon and pushed the British Indian army to the gates of India.
In 1944, the Japanese had 2 armies converging towards India. The INA tagged along with the Japanese army and Bose repeatedly visited the front to raise the morale of the INA soldiers.
The Japanese army surrounded Kohima and also converged on Imphal. The British were aware that in case these two cities fell to the Imperial army, the gates of India would be opened. They were vary of the effect of Subhas Bose, who carried on a relentless propaganda asking the Indian soldiers with the British Indian army to desert their posts and join the Japanese. In fact, the Japanese also relied on Bose to convince the Indian soldiers of the 8th Army to switch sides.
Here is the dichotomy and the failure of Bose. Field Marshal Viscount Lord William Slim the commander of the 8th army had specially selected Sikhs, Jats, Rajput, Gurkhas and Punjabi Muslims for the battle against the Japanese. He was confident that there would be no defections and he was proved right. Not a single Indian soldier switched sides and all fought for the crown and king. I am sure this must have exasperated Bose, whose dream came crumbling down.
The Indian soldiers of the British Indian army entrenched themselves and faced the Japanese. There was bitter hand to hand fighting, but the Indian front line held firm. They were surrounded by the Imperial army and had to be supplied by air by the RAF and the RIAF. This battle is no less important than the Battle of Stalingrad, yet Western historians give greater glory to Stalingrad. One reason could be that they did not want to publicize the glory of the Indian army which held the Imperial army at bay for many months.
Despite all the propaganda broadcasts and leaflets thrown on the Indian troops by Bose and Japanese, to join the INA failed. The Indian soldiers remained loyal to their English officers. This was the most brutal part of the war and the Japanese used to easy victories in China and Indo-China were thwarted. The Japanese Commander in Chief was surprised and soon the Japanese soldiers began to lose heart. The 8th army was further beefed up. By end 1944 they broke the Japanese siege. The Japanese were pushed back and the Sikh and Jat troops broke the back of the Japanese army.
From all accounts this was a great setback to Bose. It was clear that his appeals did not cut ice with Indian soldiers. Historians must analyze as to why the India soldiers did not defect and remained loyal to the English. This is a fact of history for which I have no answer.
The Japanese failed at the gates of India. Perhaps their easy victories earlier were a flash in the pan. They could not could not break the resolve of the British Indian troops. The Japanese were pushed back and began a headlong retreat. The British Indian army captured Mandalay and Rangoon. At its peak the British Indian army had 2.5 million Indian men under arms. The officer cadre was almost 95% pure English. In contrast Bose could just about gather 40,000 men. This is another fact that needs to be evaluated. Why could not Bose attract more Indians to his cause.?
History is unforgiving, but facts cannot be kept under wraps and have an uncanny knack of appearing at the wrong time. The facts of the INA are out. In my view it was a brave outfit, but too small a force to effect a result. Even if the Japanese had won at Kohima and Imphal, Bose would have remained a small time player. This is not a reflection on the caliber of Bose , but on the character of the Indians. This is in sharp contrast to Russia. When the German army advanced into Russia , all Russians opposed the Nazis and Russian partisan fighters harassed the German army. Such a thing never happened in India. When the Japanese were advancing, if there had been an uprising in India, the British would have been thrown out. But it did not happen and that is something very sad.
Subhas Bose was a very brave man, but the Indian psyche let him own. But he did have an effect and in the sum total the British got worried that if 40,000 men could join Bose, more may revolt against them later. The Royal Inian Navy mutiny of 1946, by 20000 sailors put the seal on their assessment that their days were over. This was admitted by Clement Attlee in his interview after he retired.
Bose was a great man, but at the crucial point during World War II he was let down by Indians themselves. The Indian nation missed a great opportunity of throwing out the English at that time.

Babu saroj created new article the newspaper - a daily routine .
Introduction - Importance in our everyday life
The importance of newspaper reading is immense in our everyday life. It has become part and parcel of the life of modern media. A modern man does nothing without the help of newspaper. It seems that he cannot utilize the enjoyment of his morning cup of tea without the morning newspaper. And there are also the modern generation children who are also used to read news but not on newspaper instead of newspaper they prefer to read the news on Smartphone or on television. The most important thing which the newspaper does is that it helps in developing reading habits. There are many people in this world who don’t start theirs days without reading the newspaper until they don’t start they don’t move to their jobs and offices, it show how habitual they become of reading newspaper it seems that they cannot live without reading newspaper. The newspaper makes a vital place in the newspaper lovers or readers heart.
The usefulness to all sections of people
Newspaper reading has become a useful habit of the modern people and as well as for the old men and women who uses their vacant time in reading newspaper. Now a day’s people are aware that how important is to known what is going outside their homes because newspaper provides one with the up-to-date information resulting from various events that happen from day to day in different parts of the world including the local news which are got printed in the newspaper if the news is important for others. It has actually various different kinds of aspects. When we read newspaper it grows our interest to know different affairs of our own country as well as for the other countries. As a consequence, the different part of the world reduces their distances to us. Besides it gives different information to different types of people. The businessman read newspaper to now the condition of the market. The fellows who love games and sports can get the sport news in the sport section of the newspaper. The film-fans get the thrill of the ring. The students come to know what books are recently published and also know various inventions and explorations. The politicians come to know of the political currents of the world. So it has already been a universal matter of all classes of people today. Not only these some people read newspaper to learn and to practise the language they want to learn for example if a person whose native language is Hindi and if he wants to learn to speak in English he have to read newspaper in English so as to speak fluently in English and many of the spoken English teacher recommend this. There are many job seekers who look up to newspaper as an opportunity to get good jobs so as to earn and live a perfect and easy life. The newspapers are sold to trillions of people every day. The newspapers are also recycled, so as to stop the scarcity of papers. The newspaper are so less in coast that anybody can buy it even the beggars also can buy it, it is so cheap.
The different types of sections are:-
The traders section
This section is for the business man who wants to sell their goods in huge amount and to get good profit from it. Now a day anyone a junior businessman, a businessman who is not so popular can also make their name and fame by advertising his product or goods in the newspaper and he can easily be in the limelight of the people, it is not only good for him but also for his product which after get published in the newspaper are known to everyone whoever read newspaper or the friends who share the news with his/her or best friends. This is the best way for any trader to publicity his/her company product, earlier it was done by the big companies but now anyone can afford it. Usually we all see 8 to 10 picture of a product which are shown in the newspaper to sell and they got sold also in huge amount and as a result the company get good profit from the product which he/she given on the newspaper to display, it is easy and the best way also because it is better than going everyone house and shouting and explaining his/her product to everyone sometimes it becomes annoying for the audience also so it is better to advertise in newspaper and explain everything about the product in the newspaper itself.
The sports section
It includes sports related news such as cricket news, football news, hockey news and many more. It also describes the bio-data of a players related any kind of sports. In India we usually see cricket news in sports section, the scoreboard of a match which was played yesterday or the playing list of a player which will be played today or tomorrow. The audience who read newspaper daily are very much interested in reading the sports section because by reading the sport section in the newspaper we come to know who is playing and who is not so it becomes an interesting thing for the newspaper readers to know something about the play or the players. If the match is going to be played and one of the player or some of the player is not playing, we also got to know why the player is not playing what is the reason, is he/she injured or drop from the squad , we got to know everything in the sports section related to the sportsman or sportswoman.
The movie or the film section or the entertainment section
This is one of the most interesting section most of people or the large amount of people buy the newspaper just because to read this section. In India it is mostly about the movie actor and actress. The people of India are eager to know about their favourite actor or actress, they mostly want to know about their way of living, what they eat, where they sleep, how big their house is, do they are married or unmarried and if they are unmarried then when they are planning to get married and with whom they are planning to get married is she/he is an actor/actress or a son/daughter of a big personality. So these are things which the person of India thinks and want to know from the newspaper because in newspaper we usually get information about our question or queries. So this are the things which are really interesting and makes the reader to buy the newspaper daily and increases the selling of the newspaper daily and makes the huge profit for the newspaper company.
Comic section
This section is all about the children; it contains cartoon character and the games. It is the most entertaining and enjoyable section for every readers weather he/she is a child or an old man. This sections fresh our mind with good cartoon stories and images of that particular cartoon characters.
The other sections
These are the news which is mostly related to social crime and activities. The newspaper readers are much get upset whenever they read such news which are related to crime and the activities which are ill for the human being. Every day when we open our newspaper whatever company it is the first news which we read on the first page it will be surely the murder or about the outrage of woman or the bribe by the government servant or by the school principal, it is so negative it makes our mind divert to these kind of activities, these are good for the newspaper company because the negative publicity is also good for the selling of the newspaper and the company gets huge amount of profit also by publishing the social crime and activities in his/her newspaper section. If we are up-to-date with the newspaper we usually see that we got to know the murderer name and image in the newspaper after few days or few months or few years of murder but we got to know after a certain point of time.
Advantages and disadvantages of reading the newspaper
The advantages of reading a newspaper is that we can get information related any kind of states or countries, the biggest advantage of reading a newspaper is that it provides information related to any kind of murder or the bio-data of an actor or actress or the information related to any kind of product or the advertisement product which are shown in the newspaper anything from which the readers get some information weather it is bad or good, it should be an information. It helps keeps us up-to-date with current affairs.
If there is an advantage of a certain particular thing then surely it has got some disadvantage also. If the newspaper has advantages then surely it has got some disadvantages also and that is the biggest disadvantage of anything and that is wasting of paper, in today world millions of millions trees are cut to make papers and that paper we get from trees and so to get that we have to cut trees and so we do that and which causes are big help for the global warming to occur. The newspaper which we read is earlier a part of a tree which is now turning to a paper. It is not always possible for the readers to read every section, so some of them skip that part or the section and read the interesting one which the reader likes to read. And that was the disadvantage of making a newspaper and the disadvantage of newspaper news is that sometimes the news written is a lie or it might contain half truth in it because now-a-days to sell the newspaper the author exaggerate too much to hold their spectators or the readers so that they will read the news from their company only. But sometimes reading the newspaper might be little depressing thing for the readers because knowing about the problems which contains murder or the helplessness of a man/woman house related problem.
Its abuses
Newspaper also helps us to get various public opinions. It can educate a man properly. It makes us to know about the present condition of the society and how to overcome the weakness of a society. It has a tremendous effect on people in political aspect. It restricts a government to be autocratic because such a government often tries to control the press and destroys its freedom. But through the constructive criticism of the press such a government is forced to control its negative approach and which is a plus point for the readers of newspapers. The newspaper not only increases our general knowledge but also does a social service by stopping the bullies and the ill mannered bad politicians to do something wrong for the area or for the state or for the country. The media in this world are meant to be the strongest circle of justice it shows the fact what is happened and who is wrong. Many people wait for the tomorrow newspaper to know what has been done today. Every individual day when we open our newspaper in the morning we usually read bad news which is usually too related to ill behaviour, un-mannerism, badness and the outrage on woman.
Conclusion
Thus the newspaper has also a great responsibility to lead the people appropriately. It should deliver impartial views. But it is pathetic to say that it has become a far cry because the newspapers are owned by either capitalists or political parties. So people should be conscious about the fact and should avoid such partial newspapers. And if you are depress about the bad and ill news so it’s better to read the entertainment section or the news which are far away from the crime and outrage. Whereas about me I always prefer to read news which is related to our country? Comic section is the best section in the newspaper and all should read this section because it keeps us away from the depressing news.

MG Singh created new article Cow Slaughter and the Sikhs.
Sikhism is a comparative recent religion and traces its foundation to the first Sikh Guru Called Nanak. He lived between the period 1469-1539. Guru Nanak is often referred to as Baba Nanak and also as Nanak Pir. The history of the period reveals that Nanak made 4 long voyages/travels including a pilgrimage to Mecca.
Guru Nanak composed many hymns which are now part of Hindi literature. The language of his compositions was Braj Bhasa, a dialect of Hindi. In all his verses and hymns Nanak castigated the Hindu Pandit. He also composed verses against the Muslim Mullah. However though he criticized the Vedas, he never said a word against the Koran. In fact the robe or choga worn by him had salutations to the great Muhammad and one god imprinted all over it.He also preached extensively against Sati and child marriage, as well as Hindu rituals on death.
Nanak was a reformer and many Muslims like Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmed, who founded the Ahmeddiya Faith consider that he had converted to Islam, but this is far from truth. One can say that he did accept certain Islamic tenets but he did not convert to Islam
In all his preaching's and verses, there is no mention of cow slaughter. He has not written anything for or against cow slaughter. However after the passing away of Nanak things began to change from about the time of the 4th Guru Hargovind. This is the period when Hindu practices crept back into Sikhism and it began to distance itself from Islam. By about the 9th Guru TegBahadur the break with Islam was complete. History tells us that all the Hindus approached Guru Teg Bahadur and requested him to put a stop to slaughter of cows as well as their persecution. He agreed to appeal to Aurangzeb.
The Moghul emperor Aurangzeb, the greatest of all Mughals thought that in case he could convert Teg Bahadur to Islam, conversion of all Hindus to Islam would be a success. He imprisoned him in the Red Fort and offered to spare his life in case he converted to Islam. Teg Bahadur refused and was beheaded outside the Red Fort , which is marked by the Gurudwara Sis Ganj.
The 10th Guru Gobind Singh now took up the battle against the Moghuls. He introduced practices like Jhatka(killing of animals with one blow) for meat. This was directly opposite to Islamic theory of allowing an animal to bleed slowly to death (halal). However as the Guru had embraced many tenets of Hinduism, it became taboo to eat beef and killing a cow became a sacrilegious act.
In 1762, Ahmed Shah Abdali the Afghan Warrior after decimating the Mahrattas at the 3rd battle of Panipat (1761) proceeded to Amritsar and sacked the Golden temple. He filled the holy sarovar( pond) with carcasses of dead cows. This was an affront to all Sikhs and Baba Deep Singh led a Sikh army to save the Golden Temple. In the ensuing battle the Muslims were defeated and Baba Deep Singh could cleanse the temple of the dead cows. During this time the Sikh and Hindu beliefs on cow slaughter synchronized together.
Un 1798, the Sikh empire was established and Maharajah Ranjit Singh seized power. He reintroduced more of Hindu customs and also a caste division became aparant among Sikhs and exists to this day. The scheduled caste Sikhs are known as Mazhabi Sikhs. He also banned cow slaughter and as per reports this ban on cow slaaughter was enforced with force. There are reports of manyMuslims being beheaded during the reign of Maharajah Ranjit Singh for killing cows. One cannot understand how this belief got incorporated in Sikhism as the founder of Sikhism Nanak had said nothing about it, though he preached against sati and other ills of Hinduism.
Ranjit also ravaged the Badshahi Mosque ( famously built by Jahangir) at Lahore and converted it into a stable for his horses. In effect Sikh rule though tolerant of Muslims, gave the Hindus and Sikhs something to cheer about. He also built a massive army that under his General Hari SingH Nalwa bested the Afghans and seized the entire West Punjab and NW Frontier up to the Khyber Pass. Sadly when Ranjit Singh expired , Hindu customs had become so entrenched in Sikhism that 5 of his queens committed sati along with him.
The Sikhs were defeated by the English under General Lord Hugh Gough and the Punjab was annexed. The Bdshahi mosque was restored and cow slaughter was permitted as the English were fond of beef.
Thus one can see that killing of cows is now sacred in Sikhism and like Hindus, Sikhs will not eat cows meat. Sikhs will also only consume meat that involves killing an animal by severing its neck by one blow called Jhatka. The great guru Gobind felt this was a more humane way to kill an animal. One can say that Hindu practices have crept into Sikhism and the old pristine Sikhism as advocated by Nanak is not in existence. The 10th guru Gobind in fact made it the sword arm of the Hindus by his famous baptism at Anandpur Sahib in 1699, when he created the Khalsa. One can conclude that presently as things stand the Hindus and Sikhs have a similar belief as far as cow slaughter is concerned.

Dr. Simran Kaur created new article 6 Habits that Damage your Skin, to Dryness Stage.
Some people, usually have dry skin genetically; but, there are some, who does not have, this genetically. This 2nd type of people, have dry skin because of 6 habits, which they are not avoiding, to get soft skin.
But, what are these 6 habits that dry skin patient should avoid? Well these 6 wrong habits, which they should avoid are-
Avoid 1st wrong habit of, skipping moisturization routine.
Not using right moisturizer, made for dry skin.
3rd wrong habit of using, wrong bath soap or detergent.
4th wrong habit of, over washing your skin.
5th wrong habit of using, too much warm water.
6th wrong habit of exposing skin, either to too much fog of winter or too much harsh, sunlight of extreme summer.
1) Avoid 1st wrong habit of, skipping moisturization routine-
Yes, its very common wrong habit, which is observed among; people with dry skin. They usually suffer from, habit of laziness because of which, they skip routine of moisturizing skin daily. They moisturize only, when skin shows sign of extreme dryness. Moisturizing skin daily, is headache for them; like some very big work is alloted to them.
They forget that moisturizing skin once a week, will only remove dryness from skin; on that day, on which it is moisturized. But moisturizing skin daily, will maintain softness of skin and prevent dryness from appearing on skin.
And, when you moisturize skin on daily basis, it will nourish skin with moisture; it need on daily basis and prevent lack of moisture, which skin suffer on everyday basis; without daily moisturization.
Not doing daily moisturization, will make skin, much drier and drier; with each succeeding day.
2) Not using right moisturizer, made for dry skin-
Just like, not moisturizing skin daily, make skin drier on each succeeding day. Similarly, not using right moisturizer, made for dry skin; will not give required results.
For example- if you are using moisturizer suited to oily skin, which contain less moisture for dry skin; then it will not make, your skin much smoother. You have to apply moisturizer, thrice or four times a day.
But, if you are using moisturizer made for dry skin; then you only need to moisturize, your skin only once a day because it contains, the exact moisture level, the exact the dry skin need.
3) 3rd wrong habit of using wrong bath soap or detergent-
Yes, sometimes it is not only reason that you are not moisturizing skin regularly or not using right moisturizer. Sometimes it may be reason that you are using wrong bath soap or wrong washing detergent.
But question is, which bathing soap and washing detergent is wrong for dry skin patients?
Well, the bathing soap which is wrong for dry skin patient is that one, which dry your skin; when you use it. Similarly, that washing detergent is wrong for your hands, which extremely dry your skin when you use it.
Avoiding these kind of soaps and washing detergent, is very crucial step; you need to follow, if you do not want, to have dry skin. So that was, which bathing soap and washing detergent are wrong for dry skin person.
Next question is, which bathing soap and washing detergent, are good for dry skin person?
Well the answer is, those bathing soaps, which are cream based and those washing detergents, which are mild on skin; are good for dry skin. Earlier there comes, only one type of bathing soaps and washing detergent; now market is flooded with different kind of bathing soaps, suited to different skin types and mild washing detergents, which are soft on skin. Cream based bathing soaps are, specifically prescribed for dry skin; which moisturize your skin, while you use them on your skin.
4) 4th wrong habit of over washing your skin-
Yes, it is noticed that some people have, habit of over washing their hands; although, they are using right moisturizer; but over-washing skin or repeatedly washing hands; deplete the moisture level, from hands; which have been provided to skin, through moisturization.
So, bath your skin; but do not over wash it.
5) 5th wrong habit of using, too much warm water-
Yes, another cause for extremely dry skin is that sometimes people use, too much warm water than usual; which deplete inbuilt moisture level, you provided to skin, through moisturization routine, from moisturizer.
Use lukewarm water, to wash your hands and bath.
Avoid extremely or too much warm water.
6) 6th wrong habit of exposing skin, either to too much fog of winter or too much harsh sunlight of extreme summer-
Yes, try to maintain proper covering of your skin; with warm clothes in foggy winter because exposing your skin to foggy weather of, winter may dry it and deplete moisture level of it.
But remember, between warm clothes of winter and skin; there should be layer of cotton cloth because wearing warm clothes direct on skin, may cause rashes. So, wear cotton layer, in between skin and warm clothes.

MG Singh created new article The Paucity of Heroes Among Hindus has Led to Medicore Men being Lionised as "Great".
Background
Hinduism along with Judaism is perhaps the oldest of religions. It is a religion that has a pantheon of gods and goddesses, though it accepts the omnipotence of the supreme being. It is by all means a rich philosophy, that heralds great wisdom and till about the 9th century was a religion that was all pervading and omnipotent in the sub-continent.
The history of Hinduism is the history of India and religious epics like the Mahabharata and the Ramayana( probably composed between (4000-5000 BC), bring out the rich flavor of the religion and also gives the people of India great warriors and role models to cherish. During this period Hindus can look up to role models and great men like Rama, Krishna, Vikramaditiya, Chandragupta, Ashoka and many more.
Militarily also war was a noble profession and a special class of warriors called the Kshatriyas ruled the roost. War was a glorious concept in Hindu history. The empires of the Gupta dynasty and the Magadh kings span hundreds of legends and tales that bring out role models and great men to look for inspiration. This was the Golden Age of India.
The age of glory ended with the arrival of the Muslims. This was from about the 9th and 10th century when Muslim conquerors began to make a foray into Hindustan. They came for loot and pillage, but many were smitten by the land and settled in India. They also were aghast at the rituals of Hinduism, as well as the nude figurines in the temples. They were also against idol worship, as it is forbidden in Islam. A combination of these factors resulted in a conflict between the invadors( Muslims) and the people of Hindustan ( Hindus). At that time it was strictly not a Hindu- Muslim conflict, but there is also no doubt that it was a battle between two conflicting ideologies.
The facts that now emerge tell us that the Hindus were defeated due to a combination of factors, spearhead by the Caste system and the compartmentalized society. In battle after battle the Hindus though very brave were defeated as the Muslim art of art was of a higher order. The results were catastrophic as for the next 900 years the Hindus became the enslaved and ruled. These defeats also brought in pessimisim and all the Hindus could say was it was their ' fate' as it was decreed by God.
The period was also terrible and during a greater part of these 900 years the Hindus were subjected to varied atrocities like payment of Jizziya tax, destruction of Temples, abduction of Hindu girls, killing of Hindus , making of pyramids with skulls of Hindus as well as conversion by a string of sufi saints who did conversion like in Bengal with love. The ills of Hinduism like Sati, Caste system and other things militated against Hindus as well. Over a period of time the Muslim rule spread to entire India except for some fringe areas like Assam and Nagaland.
A subjugated race has no heroes and during these 900 years a few Hindus , though ultimately defeated became idols to rouse the spirits of the Hindu race.
Paucity of Heroes and role Models
The Muslim rule by and large was not a good time for the original inhabitants of the sub-continent, the Hindus. William Duff the famous historian has concluded that during Muslim rule the Hindu population declined by 80 million. This is a gigantic percentage, considering that the population during that period was about 250 million. For the next 900 years one has to search the history books with a microscope to come across any worthwhile leader or victor who faced up to the invadors.
Through a period of 900 years one can come across just a handful of names and these were also losers, but Hindus have to elevate them as men of great standing. The first name that comes to mind is Prithviraj Chauhan, the ruler of Delhi. He faced the great Mohammed of Ghor, but despite great personal bravery was defeated and taken to Kabul and tortured, before being killed. The battles of Prithviraj are however given a halo by poets and writers and a man who in reality surrendered the throne of Delhi is lionised as a " great " warrior. He is not the last and through out a period of 900 year , the Hindus play up names of Shivaji, Banda Singh Bahadur-the Sikh General,Rana Sangha,Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya as " great " soldiers, though all were defeated .
One of the banes of Hindu society, which contributed in no small measure to the defeat of the Hindus was the caste factor. Caste flows from the Laws of Manu as laid down in the Manusmiriti. This was a great and terrible curse on India and for 4000 years , right up to the 21st century this artificial division of Hindu society has spelled doom for Hindus. The widespread discrimination and segegation of lower caste and untouchables, led to a Trojan Horse in Hindu society. The Laws of Manu should have been discarded centuries ago as they propagated action that militate against equality of man as envisaged by the Hindu gods. As an example a Brahmin could have sex with a Dalit woman as a "right", but a lower caste even touching a higher caste merited death.
The caste factor contributed in no small measure for the defeat of the Hindus, despite this the Hindus still eulogise men who stood by the caste system like Vivekananda. In addition without a powerful victor or conqueror, Hindus have played up the defeats and ritualistic deaths of Jauhar as " great" acts. An example is the tale of Rani Padmini, the wife of the ruler of Chittor who was coveted by the Sultan of Delhi Allauddin Khilji.
The fact is Chittor was sacked by Allauddin and the Rana killed and the Rani Padmini burnt herself to death to escape becoming a keep in the Sultans Harem. The act of jauhar was by itself a defeatist solution to a problem, but there are any number of poets and bards who have extolled the act of Rani Padmini.
Sikhs are in the habit of extolling the battles of Banda Singh Bahadur. The fact is that though Banda won the battle of Srihand in 1712, he was soundly defeated, captured and brought to Delhi and executed in a barbaric way. Similar is the case of Shivaji, who is greatly lionised in Mahrashtra. The fact is in successive battles with the imperial army of Aurangzeb led by Raja Jai Singh, he was soundly defeated and his writ ran in just a few districts around Pune and Panvel. Yet,Shivaji is played up as a hero who won'great victories".
There is thus the stark reminder that overall for close to 900 years, the Hindus never had a hero who shook India, forget about a man like Alexander, who trod the known world at that time and left his imprint. Unfortunately the reformers who appeared on the scene like Guru Nanak, Namdev, Vivekananda and later Gandhi could not break the caste jinx, that has bedeviled Hindu society. They tacitly accepted caste and division of Hindu society that is now perpetuated by the present government for posterity till end of time.
The caste system is akin to aparthied as practcised by the white man and the UN should take note of it. I see no reason why the UN cannot intervene in this matter. The caste system ensured that a large part of the populace were fobidden to bear arms on pain of death and thus in a war, once the Kshatriyas were defeated there was no second line of defence as the poor Shudras and untouchables and traders just sat and watched , unable to lift a sword to smite the invador. There is thus the fact that the son of Mohammed of Ghor, advanced into India with a 500 horse regiment and reached Nadia in Bengal without any resistence. What a collosal indictment of the caste system and its effect on the psyche of the Hindus.
Conclusion
Now we are into the 21st century and for a change there is Hindu rule. But looking back at the track record of 1100 years( Including 200 years of English rule) is not inspiring. The Indian have to search for heroes during this period. Unfortunately there are none available and hence the Hindus have built up medicore men like the ones mentioned above as great men.
History is a great leveller and even now the Indians have not learnt any lessons and the old divisions of society are accepted. Caste still rules. A bigger effect is on the psyche of the Hindu race which after centuries of subjugation can only think of tolerence and secularism, in a way which slants in favor of a minority. Untill and unless we shed this mind set, where is the chance that India can be a great power? We will not be able to obliterate caste also and thus there is every chance that only a revolution like the French 1789 and Russian 1917 can lead India out of this morass. We certainly don't need Gandhi or Vivekanand, but more dynamic men who can lead India into 22nd century.

Mohammed Azeez Sait created new article World Climate Change.
We are consuming too much !!!
As the world population increased, people also began consuming more. Apart from basic food, we started making more products for consumption and use -tools, machines, clothes, vehicles, appliances, computers and so on. We also added services like entertainment, tourism, and newspapers. A whole set of industries and companies came into being.
More the people ,even more the consumption !!!
It was flat for a very long time, then started spiking, and is now almost vertical. That is obvious, you would say. More the people, more will be the consumption. However, the consumption curve is steeper than the population curve. That is, many of us consume more and more with time! Last year, you had only one telephone at home. This year, you have an additional mobile phone. Your family bought their first scooter some time ago. Now there are two and perhaps also a car! As a person makes more money,he begins buying things he never had before. The steeply increasing consumption means that we are rapidly using up the natural resources. Almost any resources you can think of trees, topsoil, fossil fuel, groundwater, minerals is being over exploited. Nature cannot regenerate them fast enough. We saw how we are over exploiting fossil fuels like oil. science and technology have played major roles in increasing consumption. The tremendous amounts of new products were made possible by the invention of new chemicals and synthetic materials like plastics, detergents, paints, and refrigerants.
The story of bicycles and cars in China !!!
China was always known as the land of bicycles. The streets were always full of bicycles. Millions of bicycles were in use, to carrying people and goods. Millions of Chinese take loans and wait for months to own cars. The government is happy because the automobile explosion creates many new jobs. Then these new workers buy more goods and the economy grows further. China already suffers from environmental problems. All the cars will only worsen the air pollution and create traffic jams on the congested roads.
Early humans did not affect nature much !!!
The earth has existed for about five billion years. Humans appeared on earth about three to five million years ago. For a very long time, people lived as hunter-gatherers.Hunter -gatherers lived in small groups and got their food by hunting, fishing and collecting edible parts of plants. They also moved from place to place. They had a very good knowledge of nature. They did not affect the environment much.Their small population did not cause much damage to the natural resources. Even if they did, their nomadic life enabled nature to repair the damage easily.
What we have learn from this !!!
The global consumption of goods and services is increasing rapidly. There is a consumption population of about 1.7 billion people in the world. India and China together have about 360 million and this number will go up sharply in the near future. People in the industrialized countries have been consuming more and more, causing damage to the environment. Now that many people in the developing countries have money to spend, they want to buy more things too. Is it fair to deny them this pleasure in the name of saving the environment , at the same time if everyone consumes like the average citizen, what will happen to our natural resources in any case, does huge consumption brings happiness to all we have to consider our future generation in our mind.
What can we do !!!
We can conduct Eco-club activities like observe the International Buy Nothing Day, a day when people around the world pledge to themselves to buy absolutely nothing for 24 hours. Normally , the day is observed on the Saturday following the US Thanksgiving Day. There are activities, celebrations and demonstrations of various kinds against over-consumption and you can also organize a Buy Nothing Day campaign just before any major Indian festival ( like Diwali or Dusserah) when shopping is at its peak.
Conclusion !!!
If an individual reduces their luxurious life and take serious steps towards climate change and we have-to be united as one then we will able to sustain any type of challenges and retain our normal day to day life. We raise our hands for climate change rather negotiating by a reason of nationality ,religion and caste we all be united in the name of humanity.
