Personal is personal- property or law!   How can public authority interfere with something that is entirely personal. So is personal law of a community. Muslim personal law is derived from Holy books and not legislation. Then how can any court change the personal law.  Even in matters concerning social justice and women empowerment, courts have no jurisdiction. A court decides only that which is legislated. Muslim personal law is not legislated but derived from scriptures. Then who can change the law? should the community itself not consider changes to conform to modern times.  https://in.news.yahoo.com/court-cannot-test-validity-personal-032400490.html

The court took this action for the empowerment of Muslim women. At the same-time, each religion has the right to live in accordance with their religious rules. The Mohammedan Law in the Holy Quran imposes some restrictions to Muslim women to live in this society. If majority of Muslim women are ready to follow the instructions of Mohammedan Law, there is meaning for Supreme Court's action. If they want freedom from this laws, the SC must continue the actions for the sake of Muslim ladies who are lying under restrictive life.

It has many followers  in the countries like  Nepal, Fiji and even in some African Countries. Hindus are in African countries! This is a new and surprising news to me. How Hinduism reached in Africa? I thought that Hindu religion is only in India and Nepal and people in Africa are Christians.

Allowing women equal opportunity in matters like entering temple or Durgah is a matter in the domain of religious practice. Is this women empowerment?   http://tehelkahindi.com/why-entry-of-women-to-a-temple-or-dargah-is-more-important-than-securing-equal-rights-for-their-betterment-asks-sheeba-aslam-fehmi/

In a market economy, should all citizens not be treated at par?  Allowing only very high income group to stock 100 bottles of liqueur of high price only on payment of licence fee seems very discriminatory.  If there is policy to allow people to stock liqueur, this should be to all.  The only condition needs be that the liqueur should excise paid and not illegal or spurious.  Licence fee could be according to value.   https://in.news.yahoo.com/liquor-policy-mp-govt-allows-004900610.html

The shameful racism act in Bengaluru has nothing to do with politics. The reality is that there is an under current of racism prevalent in our society and color of skin does matter. Now an Nigerian is attacked in Hyderabad. Yes the politicians try to cover  up and mishandle the situation especially the insensitive remarks they make. Karnataka over the years has lost its cosmopolitan outlook with rise of fringe forces. it is a pity that a city with widest exposure to internationalism should turn out periodically racist. A member says that comparison with Taliban should not be made because they are very harsh in their treatment and usually kill. But intolerance is at the root of both behaviours. Should we wake up when our fringe elements become like Talibans. Bengaluru has brought shame to India's image. However it is not the only city to do so but is the latest. It is time to consider moving away all foreign students out  of such unsafe cities. In fact with our narrow outlooks should we invite foreign especially African students.

Mr. Kijazi, the Tanzanian High Commissioner had talks with Mr. Parameshwara, the Home minister of Karnataka Government. Striking a conciliatory note, the High Commissioner expressed his satisfaction for the stern measures taken by the State Government following the attack. The High Commissioner in a talk with the African students stressed on the importance of obeying the law of the land.It seems the situation in Bangalore is inching back to normalcy
