Urdu is considered as the language of Muslims. People in India are afraid of Muslims especially when they speak in Urdu. The terrorists from Pakistan can come to India at any time. When people read or speak in Urdu, the innocent people of India always think about the Pakistani terrorist because they cannot forget about the terrorist attack of Pakistani people in our country. They are always in tensions.

Flogging as a punishment exists in the Army act 1950 in India. It is part of the statute of punishments in many countries like Singapore and China. Most Islamic nations have flogging ( whipping) with a lash. This punishment has been seen to have a salutary effect and offences like sedition, insulting national flag etc can be put under this. I wonder if it should be introduced in India. In my view the students who held a meeting for Afzal Guru is a fit case for such a punishment.

Flogging is a kind of punishment to control people by beating with stick, rod or any other kind of such tools. When parents beat their children with stick for their wrong deeds, it is also a kind of flog. There is no mistakes for such light punishment because it is good for children to learn discipline. Earlier days, flogging was allowed in school also. Teachers were allowed to beat students for their wrong deeds. But today, teachers do not have the permission to use stick to punish children. Teachers are advised to change the children with positive words instead of beating with stick.

@Usha and @ Kalyani have mutually agreed that white persons are adventurous and carefree in taking risks. Yes that is how it comes out in the final TV presentations. One of the main reason is that they belong to a few capital rich countries where finances are liberally available for supporting such activities. In the process they make documentaries which are seen worldwide and earn revenue. Imagine an Indian wants to make such documentary. Who will support his venture? As of today I do not think presently any system exists where crores of rupees will be given to shoot such themes as are shown in Discovery and similar channels. Till such time we will continue to be entertained by white skin people. Also we spend our energy on secularism, communalism, nationalism, casteism, regionalism etc issues living little energy on exploration or similar activities.

Nationalism evolves over a period of time and cannot be thrust. Jats looted and burnt properties of non jats in recent agitation in Haryana. Both were Hindus.

We forget that Hinduism is not a monolith religion. The Dalits who were suppressed considerably through centuries cannot be expected to worship the gods which the upper castes worship. Today upper caste politicians are wanting their gods to be god of all Hindus and this will get resented. Sedition is a very serious charge and should be applied very carefully. Police can get anyone to say what they want, that is why their evidence is not accepted by the Courts.

In many countries where flogging is there crime continues. In China mostly corrupt officials are jailed for long periods or also shot, yet corruption flourishes even at higher levels.

Urdu is a rich language developed in Avadh and Lucknow. Urdu has been court language for many years. Still the terminology used in courts in U.P. is mostly Urdu. The phrases and words like 'talaqnama', 'ikrarnama', 'nuzool' are urdu. The lyrics in Hindi movies are mostly Urdu.
But reading Urdu paper is dangerous. People may suspect you as Pakistani agent. Somebody was just reading some Urdu magazine. But co passengers viewed him as Pakistani supporter only for this. They identify Urdu with Muslim and Muslim with Pakistan. Obviously this is a consequence of the venomous environment deliberately generated by extreme right wing fascist forces.

Here is a glimpse of what goes on in JNU ...no doubt most campuses have a certain amount of nefarious activity going on but this beats everything , calling Goddess Durga a sex worker !!!!...and we have idiots like Rahul Gandhi and his cronies who probably dont even know the head or tail of what is happening supporting the community simply because it suits him and he is around here !
Durga Puja, Mahisur puja- all are Hindu rituals. This is just a manifestation of contradictions among Hindus. Those celebrating Durga and Mahishaur both are Hindus. If Durga Puja is okay, puja of another deity Mahihasur should also be okay. There are many deities and personalities worshiped by Hindus. Ironically, There is also a bitch temple nearby Jhansi region (U.P.) that I mentioned in another thread. There is also a temple recently made for Dadua bandit in Mathura District. So this is not an issue. As regards pornography, even MLA including those of ruling party have been found watching porn in state assembly itself. These are bad but do not constitute sedition, which is being alleged so forcefully. any way, the accused have surrendered before police. So let us wait. It is also well known that most of the evidence supporting allegation of sedition is in shape of doctored videos. Ultimately truth will come to surface during judicial process. So let us wait.
