My opinion is that if the lawyers know that the person is a hardcore criminal then they must refuse to fight their case. Well, as you or many other has explained in this thread even I too know the rule that every client must get a lawyer but I am not thinking on legal terms rather on social responsibility. You said if lawyers take my advice then many innocents will be punished but I said the lawyers must learn to refuse the criminals because they can make out who is guilty as the clients are supposed to keep no secrets from their lawyers. There are a few cases where lawyers refused to take up cases of hard core criminals. But that kind of moral values you find in very less number of lawyers.   It is not a case of moral values but a question of being professional...I am quoting what I posted earlier.. In fact if no lawyer is forthcoming to take on the case of a hardened criminal , the court normally appoints one to defend him because the law says he is innocent until proven guilty. We have had cases in our country where a few people were in prison for 30 years and were let out because there was either no evidence or because they were found innocent after some hidden evidence came into light ! So everybody is entitled to a defence even if the case is water tight like it was in the case of Nirbhaya...

But, as a user of the Road, if you have any grievance pertaining to Damages caused to your vehicle due bad roads, you can approach Consumer Forms. You have a right to claim the damages.  It is bitter truth that it is not possible for government to construct and maintain road with own sources. Toll roads is only solution of it. It happen some time that toll charging agencies is charging toll after competing their period. Approaching to consumer court is easy but getting claim is not easy. of course for getting the compensation from consumer courts it takes time. Because the number of grievance case are more and courts are very less in number.

anil wrote: It is not fair to blame only to parents, teachers and students. All are responsible for this situation. For parents a school is good one who have maximum facilities for their kids. A.C class rooms, water coolers and so on. They are not any problem with quality of faculty. Teachers are also responsible. We read in newspapers that teacher abuse girls students and some time they came to school after drinking alocohal. New genration of student is less displined. Before some days in Jodhpur at Delhi Public school, student of 9th  standard brings wine with him serve to all students. Who is responsible for it? Yes all are responsible for the pathetic condition prevailing in the education system. The examples you quoted really explain the situation.

If PHD holders got selected for the post, then their boss may order them as, "Dr. X please clean the table, Dr. Y please bring some water for me". http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Height-of-joblessness-23-lakh-applications-for-368-peons-in-UP/articleshow/48984692.cms

Sofs wrote: The sad state of affairs in our country. What are P Hd holders doing there anyways..  255 of them.. amazing. Its really sad that people cannot find jobs after doing their PHd. Is the educations system to be blamed or their lack of skills.. I cannot figure out.  Education system is not good in India, it is the reason behind lack of skills. Getting degree is not enough. Here Ph.d is available in market.

They can easily refuse to take the case but the tragedy is they won't because at that point they only think in terms of their earning. This is horrible. Why are you blaming only to legal professionals. Doctors, Engineers all are equals.  True. Lack of morality is present in all professions.

@usha manohar You are right that being antisocial is worse than drinking habit. The drunkards can pose a threat to family and society but occasional drinkers and that too in limitation is merely a way to relax. Yeah, I won't prefer the youngsters to drink in front of their elders but sometimes if it gets arranged by any senior person and he/she invites the young ones to join then I have no problem but all of them be it senior or junior must act decently.

If the child sees its parents who start their day with an I phone and end their day with an I phone they too follow the suit. Parents can stop children from using gadgets. But it is hard to stop young. I saw most of young have smart phones in their hand and they are using to much. Using smart phones to much is not a healthy habits.  I agree stopping children using gadgets is difficult. But parents should see somehow a way to stop children using such gadgets.
