Whatever may the way you adopt, the aim is to keep your attention away from the past. You can relish the old memoirs while being in the present. That's all. It makes a lot of difference.

Exactly. Taking part in social activities and religious activities also can help overcome loneliness. Watching TV is als a good pastime for many older persons who are unable to move freely.

It is because the politicians have realised that getting votes by other means is simpler then through performance that makes them treat voters with indifferent attitude.

The best course is to make oneself indulging in some activity, so that one can forget the loneliness. I'm doing it now. I' keep myself busy and have the satisfaction of earning something by using my skills in writing and designing. There is no option . Loneliness and brooding over the past lead to more loneliness and depression in you

Honestly in Europe and USA esp no one watches Indian films excepting the NRI's and Pakistanis who are nor dependent on Oscar nominated Indian movies. Weare always seeking recognition from these countries and in turn watch their mediocre movies also and feel elated. Who can help us?

Very true. I feel sincerely, there is no use in digging the past. What all I feel is, like the Netaj Files put for public viewing, if necessary, if the files released by Mamata are not going to help in any way, as you said Central government too come forward to declassify Netaji files. If they too fail to offer any satisfactory answer, better forget the entire issue.
Okay, if you feel there is no use digging the past then there is no use dragging the post and agreeing to everyone..

I have come late into the discussion and am moved by the sentiments expressed by all members. In today's times there are increasing number of parents finding themselves as a lonely couple with their children having moved to other cities in India or abroad. It is a reality in industrialized societies and the sooner we learn to live in a detached manner it will help us cope better. We can prepare ourselves for facing loneliness in later years by developing interests which will keep us busy for a few hours everyday. Most of us have no choice in the matter.

True. Advising is the easiest job. It doesn't attract any tax. Minding our own business or remaining neutral is the best course.

There is no compulsion but it is good to get international attention and recognition for our good movies once in a while. In any case, we keep watching even quite mediocre Hollywood movies here all the time!

There is no compulsion. After all Oscar is a coveted award. I don't see any harm in nominating an Indian movie to Oscars.

So many elements incl those in power do not follow our own constitution but are full of advise to Nepal regarding its new constitution. What is surprising to many is that 97% Hindu Nepal has chosen to be secular. This is the true essence of Hinduism.

Ap CM in no way is unique. These are our CM's. Take case of Karnataka CM, he enjoys stopping traffic and ambulances of patients when he has to move in the city. It is the indifferent attitude towards the voters that is responsible for such behaviours.

It all looks mighty crazy. If Netaji was alive and not in India why was the fact suppressed? No satisfactory answer has been provided along with any proof. If he was in free India what was the need for him to remain incognito. Again no satisfactory answer is provided with any proof. The Central govt. must declassify the Netaji files as the Bengal declassified files have not helped in any way to reach a conclusion. I have a feeling that as Netaji was not seen alive or his dead body recovered after August 18, 1945 the Indian govt after 1947 perhaps also believed that he could be alive and thus were keeping a watch on his close family members, in case he got in touch with them. Yes today we call it snooping and make allegations against the then govt. esp Nehru. It suits a lot many people and parties and thus will go on. Neither Netaji nor Nehru are around to tell the truth. By the way Suni51 says that there is Netaji in line to pay homage to Nehru. I think this portion of the vedeo is fake No one in Delhi recognized him at that moment. looks mighty surprising.

In heritage places like Nagarjuna Konda in AP, people are expected to upkeep the sanctity. But, sadly irresponsible resort to all kinds of indecent things like defecating urinating etc. I feel sorry for the sad state of affairs,

It is not a valley but a plateau on the mountain top. It is actually a rule in heritage places where they do not allow you to pluck flowers or uproot plants, this is to ensure that the diversity of that place is preserved and the ecosystem is not threatened in any manner.
