The  Kodai canal hills too come alive once in 12 years with Kurinji flowers which is another amazing sight ~ Uttanchal have flower valley but I am listening first time about this beautiful place. Most of persons like and praise these places but few are who is interested in saving these. Our life style destroying these.

@Kalyani Though every moment my mind is engrossed in my son's thought, you know I deliberately try to keep myself detached and for this I have developed a habit of asking him to do some of his personal work by himself. I know if I help him he will be happy even I will be satisfied that the work was done well but for two reasons I sometimes harshly deny to help him. If I softly ask him to do the work then he will nag me to help so I try to be harsh. One reason is that he needs to become independent and secondly, I need to understand that he will not need me always and so I must not have the feeling of being unwanted. Now, I try to squeeze out time from everything and indulge into writing, reading, experimenting new recipes, chatting with my loved ones, watching a good programme, listen songs or have some rest.

Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: It has been proved once again that regional movies with good content and ground reality are better films, even though they may not entertain as much as the Bollywood movies do. Entertainment is not only aims of movies. I don't know much about Marathi movies but some Hindi films are not entertaining but they are good movies. If this film won the award it pride for we all Indians.

I agree. it's not easy to punish the tax evaders because most of the tax evaders are politicians. They maintain benami accounts on fictitious names. And above all politicians can buy the law through their political influence.

There seems to have been a lot of politics involved during the selection process which is probably what happens each time when films are selected to be sent to the Oscar selection committee  http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/hindi/bollywood/news/Exclusive-Amol-Palekar-hated-Court-says-Rahul-Rawail/articleshow/49085310.cms

Of course, both organizations and individuals who are above board can  put an end to such organizations whose only aim to spread the poison using gullible as their tools.

I know this case of Chiranjeeve trying to jump the queue during an election. It's really a rarely occurring case. That kind of awareness is very less in people. Later I heard that the people who  stopped Chiranjeevi were the TDP sympathizers.  But I'm not sure.

Notices remain as notices. Are we such disciplined lot? Flouting the rules is inherent trait in us. Had that discipline is there, we wouldn't have disfigured heritage pilgrimages with all kinds of trash

The most interesting one is : Please don’t pluck the flowers. They are not souvenirs to bring back to Mumbai. It is not a valley but a plateau on the mountain top. It is actually a rule in heritage places where they do not allow you to pluck flowers or uproot plants, this is to ensure that the diversity of that place is preserved and the ecosystem is not threatened in any manner. A few years back we were at Kodai Kanal ,where they have many such spots where wild flowers grow in plenty on the mountain slopes and it is a beautiful sight, some people had thrown a cigarette butt from the top and the dry twigs caught fire and it really spread even as we were watching. But the locals there opened a tap and somehow managed to put it off ! They do have notices asking people not to smoke and throw plastic etc ..

I guess at times people have to seriously consider putting these people in their place and the only chance you get is during elections when they are at their subservient best ready to listen to the voters,I remember a case when the actor politician Chiranjeevi who went to the voting booth with his family and was ready straight away go into the booth but a couple of peole waiting in the Que stopped him and asked him to join the Que .The same thing happened with an actor with political connections here in Karnataka too...They should be put to shame and taught a lesson for life to respect the voters !

With single child norm being practised on a massiv  scale in urban India and parental obsession has acquired a pathological dimensions.I have two shatteringly tragic cases in which both the middle-aged couples took their lives following the accidental deaths of their only son.The parents have to develop the right kind of detachment and de-obsess,if I am permitted to use right term, from  the affairs of their wards which take off to a different trajectory once they grow mature. They have to discover a world beyond their obsessions by engaging more with the bigger world. I totally agree wit your views ...In my own case I am too busy with my own work and routine to sit around mopping , and like I said before with the technology available today I am constantly in touch with my children through the mobile, net and skype. We meet once a year and any time I want their advise or want to see them and speak to them they are just a click away ! But losing a child can be very tragic and I can understand the misery parents feel after such a loss !

That's our inherent trait to please others. Instead, they should devote themselves in raising the Indian movies from mediocrity to higher standards and please our own folks.  But trying for an Oscar, thereby showing the world our own traditions and culture like Lagaan and Mother India. is not bad.
