Banning is not the answer. But widespread availability also acts as a tempter to freshers to try it out. So some amount of limited control can be considered like not serving in restaurants or not permitting to drink in public places can help as a barrier to some extent. In the final analysis each individual has to chose what is good for himself. Awareness can be created and supported.

Fabulous. A feast to the eyes. Again it confirmed my belief that a flower with uncommon color leaves a big impression on the viewers.

On the whole our policy makers should exercise diplomacy and tactics so that our relations with neighboring countries are not strained. The best policy, in my view is to maintain neutrality in this regard.

@Usha, the Neel kurinji you mentioned sounds like the Karvi flowers that bloom once every seven years in Sahyadi mountains in Maharashtra. these flowers also bloom on the Kaas plateau abundantly but the year that we visited this place was unfortunately not the year for Karvi to bloom. Last these flowers bloomed were in 2013. So we have to wait a few more years to see them now.

Lovely flowers Kalyani but Neelakuriji is slightly different , a purplish blue shaded and it grows both in Kodaikanal and Munnar , blooming once in 12 years , the last it bloomed was in 2006 and we got an opportunity to see the flowers at Munnar ..
yes, they do look a bit different although I am sure they must belong to the same family.
Although purple and blue is not a common color among cultivated flowers , we see many wild flowers in that shade and they all look very similar to one another..This is a wild flower that is growing in my garden ! also in purple shade !
Most of the flowers we see are in White. Next in yellow and Red in that order. Violet and purple though rarely seen flower colors, they attract more than other colors . Perhaps due to its rarity.

The idea is to increase the retentive power. It may work
If you are able to remember without meditation, the purpose is served. For me Yoga worked.

rambabu replied to the topic Interlinking of the Rivers.
True Everything is not good about River linking.
River linking has a long history in India and was first proposed by an irrigation engineer called KL Rao in 1972, Later, Captain Dinshaw Dastur suggested a garland of canals to interlink the rivers. Many governments had dumped the idea as impractical.
Practical problems are bound to be there. The recent River linking of Godavari and Krishna went on smoothly as of now. Ensuing River linking may pose problems. These problems should be envisaged first.

There are many practical difficulties that are bound to arise out of river linking besides affecting the ecological balance ..One successful river linking does not end there since with more rivers getting linked to each other many practical problems are bound to arise !

Seychelles is another very beautiful country that one can visit with Indian Passport...Seychelles consists of 100 odd islands located in the Indian Ocean , close to East Africa. Mahe is the largest island which has the airport at Victoria, its capital city . It has everything that one wants to have a relaxing holiday ...Seaside, resorts, good weather and an International airport and is not as expensive as other major tourist destinations..
