This just came to my mind , apparently Sarojini Naidu once joked saying that it cost the nation a fortune to keep Gandhiji in poverty ! Gandhiji was no doubt a simple man with simple habits but now people seem to want to make a  saint out of him, who seems like a dull uninteresting person whereas I am sure there are many more interesting facets to his life rather than his diet and dress !

Then nothing has changed. Only we have to worry about changing GDP growth rate. Will it grow in isolation?

But why does the STATE have to bow down to these diehard characters ?

Surprisingly but rightly  I find an urge to know the law more in the working class women like housemaids, sweepers etc on whose income their good for nothing husbands enjoy drinks and then beat them up. These women are tough and yet docile.

Yes. Gandhi himself did not impose anything on any body. The article mentioned about Gandhi's way of life and his food habits. You answered your question. That the die hard followers distorted and mutilated Gandhi's practices. You have the liberty to accept or reject.

He can bring growth by being more cooperative with those whom he fights politically. After all everyone has a stake in India's development whether in opposition or in power.

Absolutely. In this male dominated world where women are subjected to domestic violence, divorces for conceiving a girl child etc, a women before marriage should be conversant about the rights which are there for protection of women.

Actually the condition of the system present is in the same condition as you said. No need of thinking. EWe have reached a state of no return. System will go and the crimes also will go simultaneously

But if the law enforcing agencies and their patrons themselves are partially communal then who will be the saviour?

How long will such Gandhians blackmail the system to impose their moral values on others. Everyone has a right to lead their life the way they want, only it should not cause problem to others. GANDHI HIMSELF DID NOT IMPOSE HIS LIFESTYLE ON OTHERS BUT HIS DIE HARD FOLLOWERS USE HIS FAME AND NAME TO DO SO ON OTHERS.

It sounds odd but Dalits can form there on religion and invent their own gods and rituals and hopefully treat every one equal. Needs a greatvleader for all this to happen. Dalits are not treated properly by caste Hindus even today.

Of course, joining another religion is a good option where there are no inequalities and where they are treated as humans. But the problem here is even in Dalits there different sub sects. Higher Dalits are those who are comparatively affluent.   There is no religion in India that is free of caste ... Both Muslims and Christians do not marry their own kind , meaning what caste they belonged to before they got converted. This is a fact in my place ...They look for their ancestry and then only go ahead with the match ! Dalits are probably better off where they are now with some help from Government and strict administration !

Communal elements are generally anti socials also.. They are more inventive in perpetrating anti social activities. It is said criminals always walk two steps ahead of Law. Our law enforcing authorities cannot match these antisocial activists..

What I say is Dalits also should realize their rights and fight back. Joining Baba Saheb's Buddhism may be a choice. But it depends on the concerned person.. Now there is a Dalit movement going on against intolerance, untouchability etc.  My opinion in this regard is Dalits should  retaliate. It is no use retaliating for reforming Hindu religion as this is basically caste based. The best way for Dalits is to discard Hindu religion. They may be either irreligious or join any other religion that would give them dignity. Caste system and consequential inhuman approach is essence of Hindutva. The very thesis of how mankind was formed according to Hindutva reveals this. According to Hindtva, all men are not equal. Brahma was created from navel of Vushnu. Then Brahma created Brahmins from his face, Khtriyas from his shoulders, Vaishya from his belly and shudra (dalits) from his feet. Accordingly, Brahmin are most superior followed by Khstriya, Vaishya and shudra (Dalits).  Thus dalits are inferior to the other castes.    When I said retaliation by the Dalits, i meant not to retaliate to reform the Hindu religion. But to fight for the human rights for which they are entitled. Of course, joining another religion is a good option where there are no inequalities and where they are treated as humans. But the problem here is even in Dalits there different sub sects. Higher Dalits are those who are comparatively affluent.

There is definitely failure of law and order mechanism.  some organizations were regularly enrolling youth as young as fifteen years and polluting their minds. They were spreading rumors against minority community. They used loudspeakers to activate their followers. The communal elements are no doubt guilty but the administration needs be more cautious.

I agree with you. It's not essential to anybody's preaching hundred percent in totality . Have role model. But you have to cultivate your own ways convenient which are practical and suited to  the current times. Chanakya's political lessons are good during his times. But may not suit to the present times.
