I second your opinion about earning foes than friends. In a way when we reply to our dear one's comments on social media, we are greeted with ridicule rather than appreciation (as already mentioned by you). I think people like to listen or read sugar coated things that falsify facts and satisfy their hearts....
There used to be the good old days of learning, where honesty was considered the top value and liers were caught....
First of all let me express my joy on seeing you here after a long time. Coming to the thread, I fully agree with you that sugar coated and sycophantic talk and oily talks rather than the truth. That's why they say Truth is too bitter to assimilate.

@usha manohar I completely agree with you that Shobha De should not be compared with Khap but by saying this I don't expect Shobha De to speak so bluntly about people. The most important point about such complicated cases is, what you see through your open eyes might not be the truth so why to speak so harshly that if proved wrong then one has to feel ashamed of her words.

Besides Kunwara Baap, Manorama acted as the comical tyrant aunt in Seeta Aur Geeta, Ek Phool Do Maali and Do Kaliyan.

@Kalyani Nandurkar See, I am not at all supporting the writers if they have done it with an agenda of demeaning someone or a particular party. I just gave a benefit of doubt and that's it. The logic you gave as well as @usha manohar wrote in her last reply related to Kashmiri Pundits are all very true. I have nothing to object to all these valid points and the writers who have renounced the awards to show their resentment against intolerance is acceptable to me but if they did it to give a political colour to such incidents then it is very much unacceptable.
