Yes, Nayantara Sehgal has returned the cash and you never know some more may follow her. It is a matter of prestige if the nation starts accusing the writers for not returning the money so let's see what they do finally.

If you ask my opinion about Shobh De, I would not deny that I admire her straightforwardness and the confidence on her face but in this regard I felt she was too judgemental and in hurry also. I was shocked to know that parents were the culprits and was critical about them that how parents could do so but somehow deep inside I wanted it to be proved wrong. This movie has shown a glimmer of hope. As you @usha manohar informed about the IG's opinion, it maybe right but somewhere I feel the police department will not disclose the truth because it will defame them.

I agree with you on this one. There are very few left who believe honesty is something to be proud of. People can go to any length for the sake of short term gains.

Some one was taunted the same way and she attached a chque of Rs one lac along with her award. She says the balance can be kept as interest for the money paid.

Though I must not comment in a negative manner and that too being quite new here it would sound awful, I want to request everyone including myself that we must take out some time to read the previous comments first and then write our own reply. The only reason is, the meaning of the thread gets diluted when we start commenting without getting the exact point and some or the other has to explain the real context again and again. Sorry for pointing it out.

This south actress Manorama mostly worked with actors like Kamal Hassan, Prabhu... (Tamil actors)

Yes today also one person return awards. What happen with it. I don't know but it may possible that some cash also attached with these rewards. Are they refunding cash? It is only to come in to lime light.
Cash attached to the reward will not be refunded. That cash is meant for the rewardee's pocket .

@Gulshanji, the actress who acted in Seeta Aur Geeta is different,Manorama. Actually, I made that mistake. This Manorama who died is Tamil actress Manorama. This Tamil actress acted in Kuwanra Baap.
