Glass is good. But they break easily. It means Recurring expenditure. Those who want rugged and light, easy to carry prefer stainless steel bottles and glasses. In fact Stainless steel is much lighter than glass for the same sized container. Drinking water stored in in Plastic bottles and throwing them away in the open will endanger the atmosphere.

But farmers use cows them as long as they are young. But many farmers either abandon them or send them to slaughter houses. This a sad thing. But there are many  old-age homes for cattle. These work under the act  Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, SPCA. http://www.thehindu.com/thehindu/mp/2003/08/18/stories/2003081800150300.htm

Cow slaughter is not an issue of privatisation or state./ private con control. This is really an emotive issue with majority commuity. Keeping in view the sentiiments of people, cow slaughter is banned in most states. The good habits and culture differ in some states like Kerala and North East and so there is no ban on cow slaughter there. The issue is in domain of state governments and they can ban or allow cow slaughter according to conditions prevailing in state. Lawnedsbe enforced in this matter also as in other matters.

It's objective is to eradicate Hunger by spreading awareness among the people. But with the rampant abuse of environment for the sake of Development, rainfall has become scarce. Groundwater levels are depleting. All these factors are to pondered before we think of eradicating Hunger. It applies to India too. Due to reduced rainfall, it has become a herculean task for a farmer to grow his crops. For this reason farmers are forced to resort to chemical based agriculture. The chemical used for farming are ridden with toxins, which further lead to poisoning the food.  The traders started using artificial colors to the vegetables and artificial ways to ripen the fruits. As far as I'm concerned, I'm aware that I'm eating poison, not food. But I don't have any option. Some consolation for me is, I eat more pulses. and I eat only home food. Not only we eating poison, we are drinking poison, we are breathing poison. We have not any option. Pulses are also not free from poison. You can cook food at home you can't grow these at home. The best solution of it is use these with care. Use old grains and try to grow some vegetable at home. Filter water properly. I agree. We don't have any option. Even old grains also not easily available except in faraway village  fairs. In these fast paced life, it is not possible. But as you said, one should exercise utmost care in using these foods. That is the only option left to us. Always purchase whole grains and store them for one year. In this way you will get old grains. Sock pluses at least 6 hours and that use these. Purchasing whole grains and storing them for one year is thing about which i had no idea.. Of course soaking the pulses 6 hours before use, is what we too do  here, Here purchasing grain for whole year is very common. Wheat is our principal grain. Mix 20Ml. cow urine in water and soak vegetable and fruits in it for 10 minutes, yours vegetable and fruit will free from harmful insecticides.

These cups are both unbreakable easy to clean. Above all , it reduces recurring costs. Now in my house, we always use stainless steel utensils including glasses.  It is time of use and through. Disposal glass, cup, plates are very popular in these day. In all functions caters are using these. Disposal crockery weather it is made of paper of thermocol is not good for health. Stainless steal and brass utensils are best one. I agree. I had been using Stainless steel glasses since a long time. There is no wear and tear. They are easy to wash. Within one minute they will glittering Stainless steel is popular one and most of peoples are using it. But earlier most of peoples used brass glass which had thin coating of Zinc. Zinc is essential mineral for health of brain. Copper is also good for health. Copper have quality to pure water. If we keep any small piece of copper in water pot we not need water purifier. Yes. Metals like Zinc and copper are necessary for health. My wife uses copper Lotas during her Pujas. I too use copper lotas. I store water in them previous night and drink that water early morning. With the changing times, stainless steel took over. Utensils made of stainless steel are long sand very easy to clean Yes this water is helpful is curing acidity problem. Keep your copper pot on wooden stool or platform, I mean it should not have any contact with earth,

Yes Hinduism or it better to say it Santam Dharm is oldest one. Average Hindu is not fanatic. Hindu is adjustable and believe is compromise. In India person of any religion became of Prime Minister and President, is it possible in other countries who are follower of religion other than Hindu.

Any politician or any writer or any person who claims himself as a secular person always use anti Hindu words. And if we talk about the discussion, then also minorities in India feel themselves safest in comparison to other countries. Government has many plans and policies for minorities in India so that they feel comfortable to live in India. It is Hindu bashing rather than anti Hindu which they cannot afford to be because, many of them are Hindus. Many think it is sophisticated to put down Hindus and their customs and beliefs and look the other way when such issues come up from minority religions...That is India's idea of secularism which people have gotten used to in the past years ..  One person use RTI to know that what is meaning of Hindu. But our constitution have not any definition of Hindu. For common sense here Hindu means who worship, Ram Krishna, Hanuman ji, Ganesh ji and all others Gods and godess. In India all persons who worship these Gods and godesses are zealot. They are not secular. Followers of all other religions are secular here.    I'm glad dear Anil  that you have such  broad views on religion. I too believe in " Live and let live."Now please allow me to say about my own experience. My wife is very religious minded. I'm not. We lived under the same roof for 49 long years. She follows her own way and I follow mine. Our children are highly educated and well settled. I never tried to force my own beliefs in her. She too cooperated is cooperating with me. No ridiculing. No heckling . Our secularism also says freedom to practice any religion. Fanatics are there in every in every religion. These fanatics are making their livelihood through religion. But i was never drawn to them.Nor I'm going to in future. In my own state religious tolerance is very much there. When a Muslim meets me he wishes me " Namaskar" And I reply, " Adab Janab. " If some more person behave like you than I am assured that India have not any problem of religion. I am also thinking like you. If you can't regards others religions that never disregard their religion. basic principal of all religions are alike. Hindu's Laddu is sweet, muslim's sewaina is sweet, sikh's halwa is sweet, Christian's is sweet, where is difference.

Anti secularism was propagated as a vote catching tool in the past few years. The success of a non Congress party is being seen by committed non secularists as a victory for their narrow vision and they therefore want to widen its hold in the society. Confused Hindus are rightly wondering what is happening. A Hindu is one who is born to Hindu parents is the simple definition of a Hindu. It is a very democratic religion which celebrates diversity and accepts differences and advocates tolerance. Therefore when anti secularists come with their narrow agenda many Hindus rightly get confused.

Those who own cows do so for business reasons and not because they are cow lovers. Once the cow stops contributing economically she becomes a liability and the owners dispose them off at a price. They ten buy another cow and the business cycle goes on. Till mechanization did not occur cow had many more uses apart from her milk. Today only milk is used and use of cow dung is going down and its urine is hardly used. The cow owners are now put to economic distress as old cows cannot be disposed off gainfully. In famine ares such cow sales bring some cash in hard times. It is interesting to note that all those fighting for beef ban etc are not cow owners but are arm chair cow lovers who as usual are full of advice. It is time to become real.
