The reason for quoting Vedas is to stress on the point that the food habits are not forced. They were simply mentioned. People have options always. And I would say food habits mentioned in Vedas are true and relevant to the present times also

True. Creating cartoon a day warrants for lot of imagination and creativity. Of course keen observation of the surroundings will go a long way in any creative field. R. K. Laxman's cartoons are not just laugh evoking cartoons. They remind you of disorderliness in the society.
One of my favorite cartoon is depiction of a CEO of a Public sector production plant. He was explaining the visiting Minister saying " Ever since we stopped production, we started making profits."

Food habits have developed keeping in view the climatic conditions, agricultural practices and technological advancements of different regions of the world. So to claim that one type of food habit is superior to other types is not proper and lacks sensitivity. All the time running to Vedas for justification is also not proper. They were written at a particular period in history and were representing those times. Vegetarians somehow think their food habits are superior or they resent missing nonveg food, but advise they must.

It also is indicative that economy is not creating enough jobs. These days many investments do not result in large number of jobs. Many call it jobless growth. E commerce can wipe out need for marketing jobs. So MBA's will get affected.

Laxman was a sharp observer of events and had to produce a cartoon daily for publication in the Times of India next day, Readers like me would first see his cartoon and then read the headline most of the time. His cartoons were an addiction. His cartoons are his best memories.

RAMAKRISHNAN. A replied to the topic If goddesses were real!.
Goddesses are just symbolic representations of different forms of feminine forces of Mother Nature. For an ordinary devotee, it is impossible to worship a force or anything without a name and form. So for his convenience he assigned them human forms and names and worshipped them. For a devotee these goddesses are superhuman and divine and a refuge for consolation. I don’t want to degrade them by bringing them into the level of humans.

Shampa Sadhya answered the question Who are parents? Those who give birth or those who take good care of child selflessly, give your opinion....
Legally the biological parents are the parents but if my opinion is considered then I would go for those as parents who emotionally take care of a child. Giving birth with emotion is a mechanical process and such a parenthood is of no use.

Exactly...everything ultimately leads to destruction which is nothing but a new beginning!

That's just it Bhuyali, live in the moment and do not think of what is to come. Although we must try to do our best to preserve environment, for it is in our hands how long or short we make the inevitable doomsday. It is our basic duty to ensure we pass on a safe earth to our children!

Shampa Sadhya answered the question Is life incomplete without a life partner?.
I believe, having a life partner and to become complete are two different aspects of life. My life has my own principle and dream so how can another person complete my life. Sharing a good company may make my life easy but it can be devastating if the companion is bad. So, there is no question of becoming complete after marriage because completion comes through the attainment of lot many things. If one gets a life partner as s/he wanted then it gives contentment but not completion because life is much more than just a marriage.

It is true one day in future humans may devise a way to prevent the Imminence of Dooms Day. There may be another happening that is capable of annulling arrival of Dooms Day. Nature itself may come up with a solution.Universe is so large, there are a multitude of mysteries still hidden. What man knows is very little.
