If job is our choice it give pleasure and satisfication. My first choice is accounting. For it I joined C.A. But it is my fate that I could not complete it. I worked as senior accountant in cement factory and vegetable edible oil. At present I am running shop of photo state. But this job is not of my choice. I can do accounting work but no one like to give job because of my health problem.

Shampa Sadhya said thank you to Lopamudra for his/her reply to the topic Is it really a beginning of women empowerment?.
The idea of Women's Empowerment is to break free from all that is derogatory, humiliating, demeaning and unacceptable. The power to say 'NO' to dowry, harassment, violence and so on. This comes with education and awareness. Many a times what women accept as a part of life can change when they see other women like them revolting, breaking age old traditions of suppression, coming out in the open and protesting. In the link provided by @ Shampa the inclusion of the widows from Vrindavan, Kamduni Rape case protesters etc can definitely trigger a thought process in some! It can not be the ultimate method of Empowerment but at least the thought and the effort should be lauded.

I don't know how such efforts strengthen the cause of women empowerment as the very problem is not a linear one.It is multilayered. Women are not a homogeneous class in India with endless stratifications of urban-rural,rich poor,educated-illiterate and so on and so forth. Some liberated ones turn exploiters.A poor woman is as much open to exploitation by her rich counterpart as any.A cursory glance at cases of domestic violence and dowry deaths would reveal a chilling reality.

Common Indians are definitely secular and we still respect this term from heart and we feel pain when frightful incidents take place in the name of secularism. Most of the politicians were/are never secular because they lack quality but want to control the country. So, how would they do so? Only vote bank policy can put them into power and naturally they play this secularism card quite well for their benefit and not for the countrymen.

I always wanted to be creative with my words but joined an institution as Spoken English Teacher. After working for two years I got married and my base shifted to another city. The whole set up changed and I did not join any job. At present too I am a homemaker but trying my writing skill on different sites as a freelancer. Life is usually not like that as one wants and now I have learnt to adjust. I would always suggest that if anyone gets an opportunity to fulfil his/her desire in choosing a profession then one must get hold of it.

Know so many celebrities who were salaried employees in companies earlier. If something of interest comes ones way, I feel it is better to change and enjoy the job you do instead of cribbing all the time and being stuck in a bad job. Doesn't work that way that way for everyone, though. Many people work to make ends meet and can not be choosy about their profession. But if there is an opportunity, one should go for it!   It is good that you are happy with the profession you have chosen unlike me. I completed my training with a public sector bank and worked for two months after which I was married an had to resign...many years later started teaching because it was the best option I had . I always wished that I could go back to banking job, although I do love teaching now and am quite happy with it.

The common binding factor between Politicians and Paid media is both are opportunists. Both of them wait for an opportune moment and capitalize to be in the limelight.

Differences are far too many to even think of a possibility like that. Being cordial with each other is all we can hope for. I have stayed in Punjab for quite some time and I know many of the families there have gone through the pain of partition and have relatives across the border. But I've also seen the tension there. Even India Pakistan cricket match used to seem like a war !!

A cheap  Smart phone with features as mentioned in the post like free use of net for one year,  etc would certainly be welcomed by the consumers. Above all Datawind is collaborating with Reliance which is a reputed organization. But first of all it should be released to market. Because the Smart phone is still in the planning stage, right now a consumer cannot speak for or against the product.

That seems like a good bargain for the common man who may not be able to afford an expensive gadget, and if itclicksiam sure everybody would want to buy one given the low cost...

Sir I still beg to differ. It is true that credit goes to the British for taking control of hundreds of the small kingdoms and defining the geographical boundry of the country but while granting freedom and partition they had granted liberty to those kingdoms to exercise their option to join any of the two countries. Since I belong to the family who had the brunt of the partition and had to migrate to India, having been stick to our religion, I had to say that the seeds of partition were laid by the British and some of the Muslim leaders were used for that cause. In our native village, there was nothing so ugly between Hindu and muslim families there. Indian Muslims are not foreigner to this country - they or their forefathers were forced to convert into Islam by the muslim aggressors. Many muslim families living in Bharat have respect and observe Hindu festivals alike. Similarly, those muslim families who have migrated to Pakistan but having some links with their relatives in Bharat remain interested in our festivals. Muslims living in this sub-continent have similar living styles. The differences if any are not indigenous. I understand that unification is difficult but it is not impossible if both countries continue cultural exchanges and it can get boost if Pakistan Government may understand the ground reality of their people. Unification can solve a number of problems in this sub-continent and we can work over that.

I do contribute to your views. This a fact that the  seeds of partition  are laid by the British. In this process they used a few Muslim Leaders. Regarding the religious tolerance both Muslims and Hindus living in some of  those areas had set an example.  My friends' Great grand father shared his fond experiences and passed on to the next generations. And I came to know about them. This I had stated in my earlier responses. Let's see the things in the real perspective about Political scenario in Modern India. You know how it is trying its best to establish the concept of Hindu Rashtrra. In these conditions unification is not only difficult, but also impossible.
