This kind of icons look beautiful when used but can never become a strong alternative for written expressions. It lacks the power to captivate emotions of the reader. So, it's good that Oxford has not given it the status of a word.

Sandhya Rani answered the question Do you believe in Palm Reading?.
Palm Reading is also science. But many people use it as a means to earn a living. here it goes wrong.... We can't believe. My grandfather reads palm (now he is no more), he was as astrologer too..... Whatever he has predicted in my, my brother or family's matters, it has always come true...... So I do believe in astrology and palm reading..... but not all astrologers and palm readers

Sandhya Rani answered the question Has Gandhijis non violent approach become outdated now?.
Once I read somewhere years ago, but stayed in my mind .... an online article (not on an Indian site) .... Great Myths in History..... Do you know which myth was given no. 1 position????? gandhiji gave independence to India. I still remember, the author quoted that India would have got independence years ago if it has resorted to other means to attain independence. It also stated that though Gandhi's non-violence principle was a powerful weapon, it's the equal effort of Indian National Army, which made British think to quit India. I am no one to give my opinion here, as I know a little about freedom struggle movement.
My answer would be.... it depends on the seriousness of the matter. In some cases, non-violence really works...... But in the other, we need to use weapons.... It depends on the strength on each other. In some cases intelligence wins, while in others strength. There is one proverb in malayalam which literally means.... If the ox is getting ready to kick you, telling mantras or vedas wont give you the result. So..if things are getting wrong, non-violence wont work and our enemy should never think we are weak.....

RAMAKRISHNAN. A replied to the topic Oxford Dictionary's word of the year!!!.
There is no problem in honoring an Emoji due to its popularity, but the title conferred is confusing. Emoji is not a word, but an idea or expression involving several invisible words. The problem is that if somebody asks me about the 'word of the year', I cannot pronounce it or write it; rather, I have to become an artist to express it.

Sandhya Rani answered the question What is it that always surprise you?.
feeling surprised? there are a lot of instances which definitely make me surprised..... May be we speak in general...... double standards.... selfishness.... not caring...... or even social events like injustice shown to poor and helpless......
But It's not the things, habits or behaviour of strangers or neighbours which surprises me most. But my own people, if they can't understand my soul or my words and behave as if they have not understood my feelings inside. Yes, when my dear ones become the biggest actors of my life....... Yes, it's my dear ones who surprise me themost......

Lalu has the record of taking Bihar into negative growth during his regime and Rabri continued this state of affirs and now with two more adding on...Nitish will have a tough task on his hands controlling Lalu family at Bihar , and BJP should make sure that he does not cast his shadow along with another family of his kind on the center

Actually all parties are similar. The leaders and party workers come from same social background and same culture. It makes hardly any difference who comes to power. Even then it it satisfying that fascist and communal divisive politics has been defeated. This will have impact on future elections as well.

I don't think Lalu will do that mistake. He is too shrewd to know the result of all such things as he is passing through such a stage where any mistake will prove his political harakiri
