Why lower caste? By birth all are equal. This bill will do the task of dividing our community. Dalits don't want to listen their caste name but want to take reservation by their caste name.

It is not only the opinion of some politicians but even in this forum it has been said that the children who are made to work with the adults loose their innocence and in that way they commit crime. By saying this it gets established that children from poor family tend to such heinous crime because children from sound financial background will not work as truck cleaners and so on. That's not the fact because nowadays provocations are all around and a huge section of children in their early teens are very much spoilt irrespective of their economic condition.

First of all the teachers should not be burdened with extra work such as census and in election booths. This kind of pressure is actually causing dissatisfaction in the teacher's mind. Their job is to build the future generation and in that case the govt. pressurises them with all sorts of petty as well as risky tasks which can never give them a great amount of satisfaction. Naturally, they are the disgruntled lot. The govt. needs to address this very seriously.

It is right that infrastructure is not adequate in government schools.    The pay scale for government schools is good but what most people are not aware is that nearly 40% of the government run school staff is temporary and they are sometimes never made permanent even when there is vacancy unless they have high level influence. The temporary staff is paid daily wages which is a fixed amount and never paid on time...The basic amenities in many schools are extremely poor and the teachers are burdened with extra work like Census and data collection by the state government for which an extra Rs 100 per day is given which is supposed to take care of their conveyance charge too..

Even the self starters need a push from behind in some cases. I have seen that during my long corporate career.

Doesn't it show our erstwhile rulers in their true colors? I was surprised to hear when RG said he was stopped entering in a temple in Assam. Does it sound real? He is not a Dalit but will he file a case under this rule?

As a matter of policy I always saved 30% of my earning in safe mode. You never know when you have to remain dependent on your savings besides the rainy days.

@ anil, I guess he has taken everything into account and made provisions and feels that if he saves and curtails every month, he may not be able to enjoy the fruits of his hard work... @ Jincy, I agree that people have different take on life and some would rather save and not spend thereby not having enjoyed life to the fullest , nor traveled and so on...But again it is their choice and some prefer to live for today and let the future take care of itself !

After 60 odd years of secularism practiced by the communal party of India we still need a bill to give justice to some people who are born into different communities ! Pathetic !

When a bill is passed it is not one individual whose opinion is taken into account even if it is a parent who has suffered, there are many other considerations that need to be looked into ! However , Maneka Gandhi made a strong argument for passing of the bill and spoke well about the need for such a bill ,few other parties supported the bill , some of course opposed it. Gulam Nabi Azad of the Congress party made a controversial statement stating that only poorer section of the youngsters went in for rape not the richer class forgetting that there are any number of such incidents, trust a politician sitting in his fool's paradise where he cannot look beyond his own comfort zone and that of The Family he serves , to come up with something as ridiculous and insensitive as that !
