Vinod Kumar Gulati created new topic Alcoholism.
The Supreme Court today upheld the the Kerala government's liquor policy restricting sale of liquor to five-star hotels. The apex court dismissed a batch of petitions filed by hotel bars association challenging the new excise policy which prohibits the sale of liquor and three or four star hotels. The court said the bars that were closed down in the state will not be reopened. For reducing alcoholism in India, this verdict must be implemented throughout the country. Those who use it for medical purposes may be dispensed with the prescribed quantities by the doctors with proper accounts.

The PM is rightly drawing attention of the masses to health insurance schemes. Awareness should lead to more persons getting health insurance to meet treatment costs. Govt. hospitals are not able to give proper treatment facilities because of the tremendous volume of patients they have to handle. If the govt. hospital has a good reputation like AIIMS then even the rich come for treatment at subsidised costs. There must be a graded system where patients are charged according to some set criterion so that subsidies are reduced. I agree that doctors should have a bond to serve govt hospitals for a minimum period if they have passed out from govt colleges.

If I start any work, normally I try my best to finish it successfully. But it is not possible for me always. In certain circumstances, I fail to complete my work. As a home maker, I have some responsibilities towards my family. For fulfilling the need of my family members, I have to stop my work temporarily or permanently in the middle. If I get time afterwards, I can continue my work until it is finished. Otherwise, I need to leave my work half done.

It is not fair to quit all thing for the government. Public and NGO also contribute in improving condition of government hospitals. I'm in total agreement with you. You know well about the our famous saying, " Ek Haath se Thali nahin Bajega, " Both the Government and the People should Join hands, especially the NGOs which are well funded.

Sure, By all means Modi will get immense support from all the people of this country. If not for Modi whom the country will support ? certainly not to the Khaddar Topi wallahas who ruined the country for 2 decades.

Chikdren are taught what the parents have learnt regardless of religion. It is traditions, customs and values that have been passed on through your elders that we need to pass on to our children.This may have some religious practices and customs too which would naturally be different to different people . As long as people don't overstep their limits and don't become judgmental about others beliefs and customs while upholding theirs as the best , things would be fine..

Passing of this act is a mockery of our culture > it shows that even after 4000 years you still require an act to enforce equality. Acts will not help, something very drastic is required. One is reminded how the british finished thuggery in India. They summarily hanged about 500 thugs. Such an act will finish this untouchability and all other nonsense

When Modi wished Nawaz on his birthday, Nawaz cleverly asked him why does he not halt at Lahore as he will be flying over from Kabul to Delhi and there is a family function also going on. Modi could not have said no and he agreed. Nawaz was thus honor bound to recieve him at the airport. Yes it was a spur of the moment decision by Modi which took everyone by surprise. To give it a earthshaking spin is misleading. People on both sides want good relations from many years.

But it is at initial state. You will surprise that some bank in India is getting work form their employees like donkey. In UTI bank working hours is 8 AM to 7 PM, in ICICI bank it is 9 AM to 6PM.
