Every Indian irrespective of religion, community and other differences must condemn and criticise such attacks on any individual of any section. We should have one voice against every hooliganism or else our country will suffer the real brunt. Wrong is wrong and it must not be criticised or supported on the basis of our religion and community but we are Indian nationals first so impartial judgement is the need of the hour. Anyone of any community should be booked after such crimes.

As @usha manohar said that truth either way will come out which is really very true and much required also. We all know that every responsible body in our country has messed up many situations and they goofed up various matters. It creates suspicion in our minds. So, the bodies must work honestly and bring forth the reality or else suspicion will never die down. Those who are real culprits must face punishment but those who are not they must be spared and be saved from getting their life ruined. I personally feel that students who were involved in anti-slogans must be reprimanded and police must keep watch on their next steps but charge of sedition at the very first time is too harsh.

Yes, the counsellor should have handled the case in a much broader way and make both of them understand the need to remain as couple would have made wonders not just for the couple but for their child too. The lady revealed the truth that her letter was basically a false claim only to make her husband realise her situation but she revealed it too late when the case was already in the court. In the meantime the husband also went through mental agony which should not be ignored. I feel both had their share of grief and grievance and naturally that amounted to a lot of dissatisfaction. They should have settled it within themselves but as the matter led to court it took a stern step.
