There never is and never has been any doubt that Mahishasura was an evil force and a demon and it is only now with left support that such communal divide taking gods name has been happening in our country . All hindus who are aware of their culture and know the mythology know this for a fact so let us not simply go by some tom and dick ,harry and left ideas and say left is right and right is left ! Some people can go to any length to defend the wrong doings of their party even disowning scriptures !

There is a serious problem with upper caste and lower caste Hindus. They are now identifying the deities also according to their castes. The goddess Durga belongs to upper castes. She is alleged  to have killed the lower caste god (considered demon by Durga worshipers).  I fear that in addition to infighting between different religions, we may also have to face the issue of caste war based on mythological characters.  There is no escape from respecting diversity. There will always be diverse religions and also Durga as well as mahisasur devotees. Let them not fight even if the god (or demon) was killed by Goddess Durga.

I did not read a single line from you stating it was green terrorism even though those hoodlums were crying antinational slogans and also razed down Hutatma Smarak which was raised in the memory of our soldiers. Why do you so blatantly indulge in name calling when there Hindus involved. Agreed that this horrible incident should not have happened and is a blotter on the entire Hindu as well as Indian community and a matter of shame, but believe me when I say that t was a deed carried out by a certain lot who is sponsored by congress and other Hindu nationals. I don't remember about the incident in Mumbai. I also don't know if anyone else included that event in Boddunan discussion. I am not a professional news reporter or commentator and so it is no use telling me why I wrote about some incident and not other. Many news items just slip. Please check if there was ever a thread on the said Mumbai incident in Boddunan and whether I was then a member on this site.   I have cited the Mumbai incident as one of several examples, and this particular event was also discussed earlier here, not my fault if you choose not to remember it. The reason I brought it up is because you are always quick to comment on so-called saffron terrorism every time something like this happens, you are always up in the arms where Hindus are involved, this is not the first instance.  If you are so sure and certain of your own fairness of judgement, why don't you similarly take up arms when it is the Muslims who commit heinous crimes against Hindus, which often outweigh the crimes committed by Hindus, yet it is Hindus whom you target in your comments, God only knows why! I am sorry if I am very strong in my comments, but this particular brand of your fairness is no longer palatable. If you have to judge the behavior of any one, do so equally for all. Do you know what has happened in Malda? If you do not remember Mumbai, at least remember Malda. So I sincerely advise you to stop labeling the activities of few as saffron terrorism when it is the green terrorism that is more rampant. Why don't you cast your acidic comments on ISIS flag being brazenly hoisted in Kashmir, for a change? Why only cast acid on Hindus? I am a devout Hindu, proud of being one and can no longer tolerate your blatant prejudice against my community. Forgive me if I have crossed the line. I respect diversity of views and am never angry with anyone. Undoubtedly, the saffron forces in dominant position and it is they who are trying to force their brand of nationalism called 'Hindu rashtra' on the country. Others are bound to react and there will be reaction. There is no question of equating the dominant fascist forces with the weaker who only are resisting and some times may over react. Unfortunately, at Agra one Vishwa Hindu Parishad (RSS outfit) has been killed and I have mentioned that in a post.  Moreover the fascist elements are even fabricating evidences and videos that is discussed elsewhere.

One member said that he made a comment in fun that in democratic country, people have right to fabricate evidence including videos. I hope no fun be made in serious posts. There are other types of threads for 'humor'.  Here is another fake video. The saffron elements are shouting 'Pakistan zindabad'  but they would blame others.  http://headline24.in/2016/02/pakistan-zindabad-slogan-raised-by-abvp/

The Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi's claim regarding the hooliganism of the lawyers has been proved wrong so false statements and fabrication have become a regular norm now. The people holding responsible position must learn to respect their own post and serve their duty honestly and impartially.

Strikes and destruction of public property is actively encouraged by these political parties setting a bad example, just yesterday they were showing a video of a politician beating up a lady cop who was only doing her duty ! Yes, I also saw the video. What a shame that neither there is respect for a lady nor for the uniform just because he is a politician! Each and everyday some Indians are shaming our beloved country and instead of raising voice against all of them we start fighting on the basis of religion, caste, and what not. We need to think above all this.

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to MG Singh for his/her reply to the topic Let's discuss facts.
vijay wrote: The persons to be blamed for reservation mess is Mandal and V P Singh, not Ambedkar who did it for the most deprived and persecuted SC/ST and that too for 10 years. Why bring his religion. Can it not be kept out if discussions. His beliefs have an important bearing on what he wrote. He framed the constitution in a way that allowed the government to expand the definition by including powers to identify OBC. Arun Shourie has written extensively on Ambedkar and I have read somewhere that Ambedkar denigrated Hindu gods and bore a grudge against  Hinduism. All this is very relevant to the discussion

Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: The facts are there for every one to see or ignore, each to his own according to the ones we want to believe in. Also, if we even try to keep those glaring facts aside and consider even for one moment that The Family has not caused the divisions of the country, just consider it for one moment, but what about the other invisible divisions They have caused, They are the ones responsible for deepening further the divides that were already present between castes at the time of partition. Dr. Ambedkar had recommended that caste-based reservations should be given but only for some years until they were brought to the mainstream. The congress was the one responsible for keeping even after so many years after freedom. It was the congress that gave free subsidies to poor and the farmers and others and turned masses into lazy beggars and in return , the congress leaders looted and drained the country to the last single penny they could lay their hands on. Each time, there is a big decision to be taken, Sonia vanishes into some unknown country for a 'mysterious ailment' and comes back and takes some decision that bleeds the country further more. Now Rahul is being shoved down peoples' throats in a bid to God only knows what more is remaining now that he wants to claim for himself. I agree with what you have written, but in hindsight another culprit is  Dr Ambedkar himself. This man himself left Hinduism, became a buddhist and yet left the scorpion's sting by bringing reservations as part of constitution.

Now great leaders of past wil be judged by their religions. Pygmies of today can do so because of severe limitations imposed by themselves due to their own narrow thinking. What a fall but sad and reflects the emergence of a different India.

It is well known that evidence is fabricated liberally in lower courts. There are supposed to be profesional witnesses who for a few will give desired evidence.

Urdu is a mixture of Hindi and Persian and evolved in Mughal cantomements. It thus is a uniquely Indian language.

Because we lack modern day achievements so many of us fall back on symbolism of distant past to inject glory. Development ageda has got hijacked in the process.
