Many of us have a tendency to feel tired at the end of the day after being busy the whole day .But some people feel tired right from the start of the day and seem to be perpetually tired all day. There are reasons for this , from lack of sleep to not drinking enough water .. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life-style/health-fitness/fitness/8-reasons-you-feel-tired-all-day/articleshow/51338362.cms?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=TOI

I frankly dont blame the Americans and American leaders for putting their country above everything else.If  an American citizen is harrassed in any part of the world , the government immediately springs into action ! Cut that back to what happens to our naval people taken over by Somali pirates...The poor lady had to try and meet the former PM, Sonia Gandhi and others several times before anything was even thought of and finally the two of them came back by escaping , not because our pathetic government helped. But if Rahul Gandi was taken by pirates I guess  things would have been different ! ..Let us not even compare our nation with America, they have their priorities right ..

Strengthening from inside will make them stronger from outside as well. Even today women hesitate to file a police complain or take legal recourse even when it is absolutely necessary fearing family backlash and the main worry is , what will people say ?

The one thing that I would definitely like to be re introduced here is the article writing contest , and forum writing contest like we used to have earlier ,which I am sure will perk up the entire forum.. It would also be nice to have some incentives to new members like extra points when they sign up if they make forum post or submit an article ..

I read somewhere that Hitler was totally smitten by the holly wood actress Marelene Dietrich who was a German Jewess and had she agreed to be his lover/partner/wife, probably world history might have taken different course altogether !

I am not sure what cross section of people have contributed towards this statistics...Personally speaking I normally dont like window shopping, if at all I may do so with friends and family. I shop only when I have something to buy and I have seen scores of men and women hanging around the malls window shopping or simply whiling away their time, makes me wonder, dont they have anything better to do , in the middle of the day ! Each one to his/her own..

By this logic every new government will find previous governments a failure. let the new government make its policies and not search for alibis to cover anticipated failures. If the misadventures of previous governments were so monumental the new government overcame then in such short time. Even bias should have reasonability. Let fresh air blow.  The instances of examples of intolerance are in fact failures of governance for sake of power  So, failure of which governance for sake of power were you referring to ? The failures in Kashmir to prevent anti national activities for sake of power which a member said is a case of tolerance.   You mean things were better before in Kashmir ? Someone has to rule the state after elections, so two parties have got together to do so...Would it have made any difference if Congress was one of the parties ? Probably worse since they created the mess in the first place and let it deteriorate ..

Answering every post, passing harsh remarks on persons who cannot defend themselves on the forum like saying someone is a terrorist ad should be whipped or abusing a  particular community should be discouraged and not rewarded. Some system can be worked out. Moderators should act neutral and not be  seen outdoing members in negativity.  There are forum rules that nobody should post any remark insulting to others. A moderator may sometimes take action. But if some members continue breach of forum rules and even some moderator indulges, there is no way decency can come to forum. Moreover now there is neither revenue sharing nor moderator bonus. So there is also no incentive for moderators.  Now it seems that there is free for all. so you write what you like irrespective of quality and desirability of content. In view of overall environment in the country, this is not so bizarre. If TV channels can telecast anything including lectures by fake baabaas, propagate superstitions, doctored videos and lies, what is wrong if this site also follows suit.  So, if somebody is happy with and finds the site interesting, well. Also, one may try to make this interesting by own contribution. It is possible to bring new topics. Sarala says she used to write articles and also in forums. she can still write articles and earn on that. However now there is no financial benefit in forums. This is administrative matter and we can do nothing. I suggest that if your main object is to earn, just write articles and forget the rest of the site.  I think that is a good comment. Writing articles is also a great form of self expression

Whenever he says some thing, there are comments which are reflected in this thread as well.  Anyway, there is some more news from  JNU. Manusmriti burnt by ABVP soldiers.   http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Delhi/abvp-burns-manusmriti-copies-in-jnu/article8330154.ece The Manusmiriti in fact should have been burned hundreds of years back, but it remained the solid edifice of Hindu jurisprudence. It is out of date as it was hundreds of years back and no tears should be shed on burning of Manusmiriti.

MG Singh wrote: Interesting topic, but times have changed and men also window shop. The problem is men have lesser time to spare than woman. Incidentally a working woman may not do much of window shopping. yeah, in comparison to women, men shops very often the only reason is that men have less time then women

It appears unreasonable to impose Khadi on govt. employees. If you wish to promote Khadi, do this as a normal commercial activity rather than indulge in unfair practice of compelling govt. employees to wear Khadi dress. already Gp D staff are required to wear Khadi uniform. If all govt. employees are to wear Khadi uniform, better prescribe a uniform to be supplied at govt. cost- either in kind or by reimbursement of outfit allowance.

Traditionally, the women have been just house wives. Window shopping is a way to leave home for a change. Men have always been considered bread winner and they remain all day outside home. So, they will go to shop only if necessary unlike women for whom shopping is a habit and hobby. Now more women are employed and so things are changing.
