Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to usha manohar for his/her reply to the topic Indian women and their legal rights !.
Shampa Sadhya wrote: usha manohar wrote: Strengthening from inside will make them stronger from outside as well. Even today women hesitate to file a police complain or take legal recourse even when it is absolutely necessary fearing family backlash and the main worry is , what will people say ? Inner strength is a must for each and every female. One can gain inner strength through proper education, moral support of the family and friends and compassionate attitude of the government organisations and the society. The insensitive approach actually ruins life because women are physically weak but if the ladies possess education then they have the guts to stand against every wrong. One cannot overcome the biological differences although you can somehow try and balance it out by remaining fit and healthy rather than let yourself go after marriage and kids. If a lady is educated, capable of taking care of herself there is better understanding between the couple and this itself diminishes the chance of rape or forceful intimacy within the marriage . So communication in my opinion really helps !

I think enough has been said about how the forums have become boring, repetitive etc etc. I am sure the admin is looking at these discussions and has had several insights on what people want and demand and he also knows what he can or can not do. So let him decide that and let us not keep repeating same things again and again, they are already happening elsewhere too. So time to lock up now.

One is aware that a girl and her lover husband( lower caste) was hacked to death in Tamilnadu. Similarly my own servant's( who looks after my bunglow in Indore) nephew  killed his sister in his native village in Rajasthan. Many were involved. The crime? Girl had eloped and married a taxi driver in Mumbai. I am sick. Women have no rights except in  some big cities and that too in all about 1% of the population Women certainly have rights. But are not aware of their rights. But, the scenario of late is changing for good. Superstitions and wrong bring up of the children by the parents who think that girl in the family is a liability are the main reasons for being unaware of women's rights. in the long run, awareness will increase. I'm optimistic about it.

It is said every Sanyasi had indulged in Sex at least 90 times in a month. I dont think you were part of teh Ashram at Koregao park. Which I WAS for a year from 87-88. All I can say that most of it is hersay and rubbish, Rajneesh stated nothing new and is part of Hindu scriptures.  Indulging group sex orgies is not a part of Hindu scriptures. I don't think one has to be a part Koregaon park to understand the misdeeds of Osho. Then tell me why he was arrested. It is your belief that Rajneesh is a sacred Baba.

They never did , because they ( managers) recieved fat checcks. First arrest the bankers immediately before talking of mallya.  Nothing is simple especially when a big shot like Mallya is involved. But all efforts to catch the fish are directed to bring back Mallya to India, who is at present in the UK. Of course the UK government also should cooperate.

He feels much better after he started taking this limited quantity of beer for almost a year or longer now..So there is no final say in the matter ! it very much depends on the individual !   Drinking beer is good for our kideneys. Beer can keep our kidneys healthy. Drinking beer reduces the risk of developing stones by 40%.  Only beer can keeps our kidneys healthy? Drinking required water is enough to keeps our kidney healthy. Beer is basically barley water and is very good for kidneys, better than just water.    Yes. According to a new study, drinking a pint of Beer improves the state of blood vessels around your heart. Beer has the potential to reduce the incidence of heart diseases. . Beer contains vitamin B6 . Of course moderation is essential. With in poison is good for health but person when start drinking never care for pint or whole bottle. Other source of B6 is also available that are less harmful than beer. It is matter of choice if some like to drink beer than, carry on. You are right. Vitamin B6 is also available in natural foods like most of the vegetables like potatoes, Bananas besides Beer. It all depends on individual's choices. Though I do not drink Beer often but on some occasions with friends.

If user of khadi will increase its cost will be come down. I agree. If everyone buys one Khadi garment, the sales of Khadi will go up. KVIC, Khadi and Village industries Commission is entering in to tie ups with companies like Fabindia and Raymonds to retail high- end Khadi at some outlets.

It is highly essential for both men and women to know about the rights of a woman. Men often use this to commit atrocities on women because they are unaware of Women's rights. For example, Safety at work place.  Men often  subject their women colleagues to teasing and talking with double meanings, causing mental torture to the woman. They  think that teasing is their birth right.. It is in such situations women employees can lodge a complaint to the concerned authorities.

Incidentally a working woman may not do much of window shopping. True.Window shopping is not just restricted to Women alone. men too do window shopping. While waiting for my bus, I too do roam around nearby malls and do window shopping, but i believe that women does window shopping as it becomes hers custom  Is there any custom that says Window shopping is essentially a custom for women ?
