First of all I owe my gratitude for providing a wonderful and thought provoking article,
I was very impressed with the views of the author of the article, Especially, the opinion of English theosophist. Annie Bessant, who said without mincing words, " I find none so perfect, none so scientific, none so philosophic and none so spiritual as the great religion known by the name of Hinduism".
Thanks Rambabu, it is indeed very thought provoking and beautiful. Everyone should read it and understand what it really says.

What I understand about this raging controversy is that any discussion on any topic should be open to all shades of opinions even if quixotic or eccentric at times. Otherwise how do you get to know them and rebut? I note a funny tendency in the conduct of a few who victimise and play victims both! Please don't bar contrarian ideas or noises!!
Chinmoy, I really do not like to do that but I am totaly fed up with the derisive and sarcastic comments directed without fail each time I or someone else posts something that is in favour of our country's true roots and tradition. SO I think I too have rights to welcome comments from those who do not deride our roots and tradition. That's all I want in this particular thread. Those noisemakers are welcome to create another thread and make as much noise as they want. I want this article to be read with fairness and open mind which these noisemakers lack.

Thanks for the comments. This post is reserved for the pro fascists and communal elements. Surprising that swadeshi is linked with Hindu as if all non Hindu were foreign. No more comments necessary. The readers would be intelligent enough to understand the true nature of this thread even without writing anything.
If you understand that there was no need to make this comment. AS it is, I have previously made it very clear that I no longer find your brand of 'nationalism' palatable and it has become completely annoying. If you have noticed, I have stopped responding to your threads and posts and the least you can do is do the same. I did not want exactly this kind of comments from you. I expect that henceforth you will keep away from this thread.
Gulshan ji, first thing don't associated Hindu with religion. Second thing we followers santan dharma treated all peoples as Hindu who is living in this country.
@ Kalyani it is not possible that every one is agree with our views. You also have right of disagreement. For healthy discussion always believe in it that, I may be not agree with your views but I will respect your right of speaking.
Anil, I appreciate what you have said, but I also have the right to NOT ACCEPT BEING MADE Fun of my values and my religion, which is now happening too far and often in the recent times. I did not want a certain couple of members laughing and stating derisive comments directed at fascists and saffron terrorists. I just want people to read the article objectively and think over it. I am nt going to tolerate being made fun of all the time.

rambabu replied to the topic The importance of travelling and going places.
Traveling provides learning and education about places and History. Connects us to other cultures and people. Expands our awareness and introduces us to greater diversity. If you stay in India, the opportunities are comparatively narrower than places out side India.

British looted us and left us poorer but the Mughals did not make us poor was what some members are trying to impress on us.. The Mughals did not leave us, they stayed on and butchered masses when there was opposition to conversion to their religion which was far worse. I guess that is OK for some. Honestly this is what our communal party has done, brain washing its members and supporters to the extent that they become inhuman and have a one point agenda of Hindu bashing !

It is a useful and eye opening article to inspire new points to be exercised, I want to be a passionate writer and I have found some very good tips over here which are rather simple yet very effective, there are times in life where you know it well before but at some situation because of any circumstance or urgency that point becomes more relevant and important which is my case, I am finding each point more effective and pivotal in deciding the course of my hobby and how to pursue it more entertainingly, though I did not go through the complete article.
I hope you went through the entire article ...It is written by someone who has consciously tried to make himself a better writer and the sum total of his own experience.

Some have questioned why Hindutva is related to RSS and BJP. What is wrong with Hindutva. Of course nothing wrong if you simply observe the rituals and lead life according to your religion. The issue arises when you attempt to dominate others nourishing false sense of superiority. You target not only religious minorities but also those who don't agree with your brand of aggressive Hindutva. You target also those who don't support your ideology. This is what Nazi and fascists stood for. For Hitler, German race was pure Aryan and a master race who was fully justified to dominate and rule other races- subject races. To draw parallel, R.S.S. also believes in Hindu nation and considers non Hindus as well as dissenters as unworthy of citizenship. Recently, top BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy proposed that Muslims and other religious minorities be deprived of right to vote unless they accept that the mythological figures Rama and Krishna are their ancestors.
The RSS ideology is well expressed in the books 'Bunch of thoughts' and 'we- our nationhood defined." The R.S.S. and BJP have not so far disassociated themselves from these books written by M.S. Golwalkar. The occasional talk of harmony by some BJP leaders is clearly deceptive. The occasional liberal face of BJP or some times R.S.S. is deceptive.
However the minorities and the downtrodden will certainly not accept the hegemony of the communal fascist forces, who will prove just paper tigers. The support base of these fascist and communal forces is big business, Hindu clergy and professionals who are naturally timid by nature as well as exigencies of their business and profession.

There were no attack on Hindus during so called Muslim period. Hindus and Muslims lived together peacefully. It is only the British who attempted to create division.
Please read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_Hindus
Also Historians have pointed oout that Hindu population declined by 80 million during Mughal rule. I wonder how anybody can say that Hindus and Muslims lived peacefully.

Thanks for providing enough Historical facts emphasizing the fact that Hindus and Muslims never lived peacefully. The link you provided says it all. Mahmud of Ghazni invaded the sub continent during the early 11th century. His campaigns across the Gangetic plaines are often cited for their iconoclast plundering and destruction of temples. And this is but one example to show how Hindus were persecuted by Muslim invaders.
