It is understood that everyone do their own personal work instead of depending others unless one is a politician or a bureaucrat who gets several orderlies at tax payers expense. Gardening is one  of the best form of exercise and since it involves bending, lifting flower pots and constant movement, one tends to burn a lot of calories in the most pleasurable and satisfying manner..I can spend an entire day, when I have holidays in my garden tending to plants, re-potting them and generally doing what needs to be done..

There is no end to the list because there are dozens of such peculiarly Indian habits that are unpleasant and annoying by any standards..I find it highly annoying when hosts fill my plate with food and force me to eat regardless of whether I like it not , instead of letting me  serve myself or if they prefer to do the honors , at least let me have a say at how much food I want on my plate. The excuse is we wont be happy unless you have eaten WELL.. This is just one of the peculiarly Indian habit that is annoying !

One way to improve Brain functioning is to challenging yourself.. Challenging yourself encourages your brain to perform better. I'm a Music lover. I love to play Jazz drums and Bongo drums. The idea is to play Drums for my own pleasure. When I was working in Rourkela Steel plant, I happened to see a SardarJi playing Bongo drums in a local cultural festival. I bought.his drums. My friends laughed at me. I took it as a challenge and practiced Drum playing every day sitting in a remote far way place during morning hours before going to my duty. My practice resulted in making me an accomplished Drum player. I was included in a cultural group to entertain the Army at the Pak- India border at Karimganj during Indo- Pak war. in !971.

Poila means first. So, every region will celebrate their New Year around the same time, I suppose. Thus, Happy New Year to all! Baisakh of Begal is celebrated in Punjab as Baisakhi. It is important festival of Punjab. It is time when farmers are harvesting their crops.   Harvest festival is an annual celebration, which occurs around the time of main harvesting of a given region. Given regional differences in climates and crops, harvest festivals can be found at various times through out India. Onam and Vishu are the agricultural festivals celebrated in Kerala. Sankranti or Makar Sankranti are the harvesting festivals in my state AP.

Unless we are involved into the work mainly physical work, either at home or office, there is no need to spend extra time in burning the calories.. Regular physical work and simple food will keep us away from excess calories.  Activity in some form or other, like helping your wife, taking the children to the bus stand at least one time in a day, playing with children will help in burning the Calories. Agree every small activity helps. Just take an example of using a staircase. Someone who lives on the third or fourth floor of a building with no elevator, will surely burn their calories. Even if we use the staircase both the way, instead of elevator, we would lose lot of calories.   What a coincidence !!!. I live in a flat and also on the  Third floor. I go for morning walk every day, While going down, I use the lift. After finishing my walk, to reach my Third floor, I use the stairs. This routine helps a lot in burning the calories. Another activity, I'm habituated with is, not sitting constantly for hours together and read a Book or watch TV. Except washing my clothes, I do everything like making my bed, getting a glass of water from my water filter, fetching a book from my Cupboard. I will never order my wife or my Domestic help, "Hey, Bring my letter pad ".

Despite heavy penalties the corresponding, fatalities did not decrease. What all we need is strict adherence to the Law.   Yes, laws should be strictly implemented then only we will see some improvement. People are comfortable to pay the fine and get rid of the problem. Government should arrest such people along with fine, so that it will create some fear in the mind of drunken people. They will think 10 times more before driving.  Government should not think, just by introducing some laws, it's responsibility is over and wash off its hands. Unfortunately, in India this is not happening. The other day, , People who were arrested for drunken driving,  were ordered to perform Traffic duties for Two Days. Additionally, youngsters were caught and arrested for Bike Racing on busy roads. Such penalties will create a fear in the law violators. It needs a constant vigil by the Authorities.

Protecting the environment is the need of the hour. All of us should know , unless we respect the environment, our very existence is at stake. Man, in the name of development, is destroying the nature . While building the new townships, many trees are cut. This felling of trees should be compensated by Afforestation. Man should know what's taken from the Nature, should be given back.

The reason is not Modi, but the basic Indian character. I work in Singapore and UAE and find the places 100% cleaner than any place in India and yet this is without an campaign for cleanliness.   Yes. Basically, a typical average Indian is  lethargic and lazy. An Indian needs coaxing and cajoling and need to be convinced. In this regard, creating awareness in him is highly essential by holding awareness programmes .Only then, one can expect the success of Modi's scheme of Swatch Bharat can be a success.

Though there are names of some 500 Indians , mark my words nothing will come out of this exercise.  if these investments are legal why peoples didn't disclose it to tax authority of India. I am agree with you that noting will be come out but reason behind may be some other one. Pressure on government. Right now,  we should see whether the Indian investors figured in  the Panama Papers followed the rules or flouted the rules pertaining to investments in foreign  countries. All the investors denied that they had done nothing illegal. They had followed all applicable rules and regulations of Govt. of India RBI, FEMA and income tax.And regarding the outcome, it's too early to say conclusively.

MG Singh created new topic Indian Muslims and ISI.
Yesterday one Muslim youth was arrested at Pune as he was just about to board the aircraft to Dubai and thence to Iraq to join ISI. The NIA has informed tHhat this yEear 14 Indian Muslims hve been arrested for trying to join ISI. There is a chance that many more would have joined ISI, who have not been detected. This is a serious matter as these Muslims on their return can start a problem here. What can be done?

In Singapore I heard President Obama's speech on TV on the subject as there are more Americans than Indians.  But most of the men from India who  have parked their money in Panama have done it legally. The real black money is in Swiss banks, which Modi is unable to touch.
