A satellite city is one that is dependent on a major city...Amaravathy is an extravagant city planned by the CM which in the opinion could have been toned down given the drought situation and farmers suicide in the state ., However, it is not a satellite city as mentioned...Please see the meaning of a satellite city below..
A satellite town or satellite city is a concept in urban planning that refers essentially to smaller metropolitan areas which are located somewhat near to, but are mostly independent of larger metropolitan areas yet depend on the larger metro cities in some respects.

Now, A beautiful satellite city is coming up in Amaravati, the new capital of AP. This is well connected by both rail and airways to two most well developed cities Vizag and Kakinada.

It is not just the density of the population that is relevant but also the infra structure with regard to sanitation and public utilities that help in keeping a city clean which is very poor in all our major cities. No wonder most of them stink away to glory day in and day out..It is distressing to see children playing in all that squalor and filth ..

Coming back to the topic, I am told by visitors that Pakistan is a much cleaner country and better organised than India. I have visited Karachi which was more or less like one of our busy cities but Islamabad is supposed to be a cleaner city and people don't use the public places as toilets like they do here in India.
That is surprising indeed! I think in India, apart from some North Eastern states, generally all open, public places are treated as trash bins. It is very surprising that the cleanest village in Asia is Mawlynnong which is in Meghalaya, I have seen a video of it on FB. If they can do it, why can't the others?
I tried to search for the video but can't find it now, but did find the Facebook page, worth checking it out by every one!

What a lovely place, definitely worth visiting and like you said Kalyani, if they can do it why not us ? It is all so natural and unspoilt ! let it remain so for decades to come ..
Chandigarh is also a neat and clean city. Our cities are not clean because we depends on government for it. In Delhi AAP government is doing well for cleaning.
That is good because the last time I visited Delhi , I fond some areas very filthy ..
If the AAP is really cleaning Delhi, then it is a commendable act and their example should be followed. But I feel that people who have been doing such service without expecting anything should be felicitated and their deeds made known to all, so more people follow their example. eg. Anna Hazare may have fallen low in the eyes of people for carrying his Lokpal agitation too far and then giving in, but he has literally created a heaven in his village Ralegan Siddhi and maintained it for last so many decades. It is due to hia hard work and dedication that his village is one of the cleanest, self-sustained and green village where there is no place for alcoholism, dirt and lazy souls. He should be applauded for this work and his example should be followed.
May I help you check the cleanest village of Asia Mawlynnong- Here

Yes sir. Besides over population excessive use of natural resources, the urgency for modernization and urbanization by humans leading to environmental pollution.
Cause of excessive use of natural resources in excessive population. More peoples more needs.
As cities grow the density of the population becomes higher and so also the negative impact of such close living. Instead of this if several satellite cities are built around a major city there would be better distribution of population and less stress on nature and natural elements like air, water..

I think, the way in which Modi is performing as the PM of India, establishes the fact that he has no rivals anywhere around in the near vicinity. He is aware, owing to his achievements, there is a possibility of Complacency. But in reality, there is no complacency. This fact, he knows more than anybody. He is a great visionary

There is no point in either arguing or convincing those who don't seem to know the meaning of Fascism but insist on using it left, right and center simply to have their say..
Some interesting facts here that I am quoting ...
I always wanted to ask that where these self-proclaimed intellectuals were:
When the illegal Bangladeshis migrants were driving the indigenous Hindu Bodos out of their homeland during the Kokrajhar riots in 2012? Even though the riots begin with killing of two Muslim student leaders, the major cause of the riots was evident from the era of 1971 where the continuous migration of Bangladeshis were reducing the demographics of Assamese into minority.
When the Islamic militants started the campaign of ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits during the insurgency of 1989 in J&K?
The natural crisis in various places like Orissa (1971),Andhra Pradesh (1977),Gujrat (2001) and recently in Uttarakhand (2013). One has never noticed the contribution of leftist intellectuals in providing relief or funds for the rehabilitation of victims of natural calamity.
When our democracy which gives these so called secularists the freedom to speech and expression was under grave danger and India was almost become a tin-pot dictatorship owing to the activities of Indira Gandhi under the Emergency(1975-1977) in order to protect her Prime Minister-ship from disqualification. RSS was the organization who fought for the maintenance of those principles on which our constitution and democratic structure was made while the main proponents of Secularism like TOI, The Hindu, etc were silent regarding the brutal demolition of slums of poor Muslim dwellers in the Jama Masjid and Turkman Gate area during the height of Emergency.
When the lives of innocent Sikhs were at risk from the murderous Congress goons and the indifferent police in Delhi and other places in India in 1984?
RSS was in the forefront in providing all kinds of relief to the people in many crisis without caring for any prize or monetary gains . For its yeoman services, it only received bans from the Congress regimes and the whole organization was persecuted and branded as anti-national on account of some dreaded acts performed by radical individuals who had no close relation with RSS.

Modi is popular, there is no doubt about that. He must now see that people who are corrupt like the Gandhi family( National Herald case) are sent to jail. This will cleanse India.People have forgotton Bofors. Follow up and nail Sonia as there is not an iota of doubt that money was siphoned to Italy.
Of course it definitely was siphoned off to Italy, Sonia's sister and other family members apparently own real estate and vineyards around Naples, which is not possible for someone coming from a lower middle class family.
I do agree that Modi cannot afford to be complacent like the Nehru Gandhi could afford to do because of lack of competition and transparency. Now every thing is open and people are much more aware and unless you perform and deliver, voters will throw you out for sure.

There is no life without money since it is needed for everything. One can spend on other things only after the basic essentials are met with , so the need is personal and depends on the individuals themselves. Some like spending money on travel, books or investing for future, religious emblems... Anything that makes people happy is worth spending on!
