First of all the GDT bill proposed by NDA is different in many respects, so they had to oppose it under UPA...I have also read an article o Economic times where it was mentioned that the GST as drafted by NDA was far better than it was before, will upload the link when I find it.. I have never said that BJP is perfect nor am I rigid in my stand, but as far as things stand they are the best and probably the only choice we have while compared to the other led by the family of errors ! If you have some other theory please go ahead and share it, am always willing to give it a thought !

The Indian mentality is to clean ones own house and garden if they have one and throw the rubbish into another compound or street side. It is precisely  because of this attitude that our public places are filthy. How much can the authorities do ? Very true Usha, Indian mentality is such that each one is concerned with his own personal safety, security and cleanliness and does not feel responsible and accountable for the others. That is why, the first thing when something happens is that the mobs attack and destroy public properties, not considering the fact that they are for our own usage. Same thing goes for public places, they are outside our houses so no harm in dirtying them. Thankfully, action against spitters is being taken big time in Pune since last week. People spitting from buses and vehicles are forcibly taken off the vehicles and made to pay fines and also clean up their own mess. But the point is, continuity of the action. I only hope that this is carried through out so that finally people stop spitting outside. It is also imperative that people do it automatically , like they do at home. You don't litter inside your house, so why do it outside ? One more very annoying habit we have is piling building material and building debris on road side or wherever there is space. In Mangalore this had become such a nuisance. It seems to have become a little better although we get to see piles of building material the moment we leave city limits on the road side and empty places. I am not sure who to blame here ?  the authorities for not providing a proper place for getting rid of it or the builders..

Why should it be only 85% , it is the rest of the 15% that also needs to come under uniform civil code..It has only helped other countries to have one law !

The very fact that Mallya was allowed to get away for this long shows how lax the banks and the government was...Now blaming the present government will not help because they are trying to do the best they can under the circumstances...It will take time but I am sure he will be brought back and made to pay back..

Earlier when there was no car, bikes, or buses. The only way to travel is by riding the horse. So i think riding the horses reminds me of golden days.

The sport is catching up. But then in all sports except cricket, there is little money. The government has to step in to restore this ancient sport. Horse riding builds character and strength. I have an article coming on horse riding on Boddunan and hope it will see the light of day soon.As late as 19th-century maharajah Ranjit Singh was a great horse rider. However, the sport went into decline during the days of the Raj and was only sustained by the Maharajas.Give them credit. Whenever I visit Bombay, I find at least 50 boys and girls earning their spurs at the Amateur Riding Club.they are sponsored by one of the big business houses.

Why shd govt help them.? Sports which are healthy neeed to be cultivated. Riding is a great sport and nearly 40 medals are at stake in Olympics. We dont win even one. but now I find schools encouraging horse ridind. At least many in Delhi do like Modern School. The Government has to step in to restore this sport which is as Indian as it gets.

usha manohar wrote: The real growth story of India started only after Narasimha Rao and in the past 2 or 3 decades after BJP became a party to reckon with and I am sure they have been very critical and a good opposition unlike what is happening now. So it was possible for India to grow inspite of the communal issues and corrupt practices which of course had to erupt at some stage like it did during UPA 2 ..  Hats off to you for defending BJP even when it was in opposition. Only committed can think like you. It is now clear that GST Bill delaying tactics  was a well thought out strategy by BJP when they were in opposition. Great.

So they are being taken care of. Security persons are tackling the issue. Also so far excepting a couple of persons there are no reports of Indian citizens fighting for ISIS. All Muslims of the world are not one in their missions.

Amitabh's brother is alleged to be  operating in Panama and that may be a reason for his name to appear. No one is going to use someone else's name for depositing one's hard earned black money.
