It is work known fact, what is point in repeating it again and again. He could not get consensus and passed only the Hindu Code Bill. But what stopped following PMs bringing UCC. Present government Law Minister told SC that UCC cannot be brought till there is consensus. Then why blame Nehru and sing praises of present set up I can not understand.

This is the correct approach. Modi must not bother about lightweights like Rahul Gandhi and all. Better Rahul fight has case of misapproprion in National Herald case. He may very well sit in jail. One can be sure that he will run away like Vijay Mallya.
Modi is very clear about his thoughts. He believes in doing what he says. And says what he can do. And this Rahul, a wet behind the years doesn't know what he is and what his worth is.

Yes, this is interesting. All bandits are not bad and the legendary Man Singh helped the poor. There is a temple dedicated to him close to Jhansi.

It was not done to please any section as you are alleging. The common civil code was opposed by tall leaders like Rajendra Prasad and Sardar Patel. It was to be done when acceptability would be higher. You are only condemning without facts . Let Modi get as many terms as people will give him. But for common code even one term is enough. Will should be there.

True, It is plain common sense that you do the needful and be humane, Thank god there are some who see it this way !
Even if the water that will be utilised for IPL cannot be used for drought affected regions, it is still a crime to waste water in such a way when it is clear that the needs of common people and farmers is far more greater than cheap entertainment. And where there is a true and sincere will to help others, there is a way as is evident from the fact that Maharashtra CM Fadnavis arranged for a special water train brought in from Rajasthan which was filled with 5 lakh liters of water in Miraj and sent to Latur which is affected severely with drought.
http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics-and-nation/first-train-carrying-five-lakh-litres-water-reaches-drought-hit-latur/articleshow/51787768.cms
Instead of wasting precious water on such cheap and vulgar displays of wealth, it would be better used to water dying crops and animals instead.
The BCCI Na IPL is so flushed with funds that apparently they have been buying water from tankers from wells, wasting precious water...all that talk about treated water is just that ! The court has noted down all these details and also said that it is better to shift the jamborie elsewhere. In a country hit by one of the worst droughts ever, is there a need for this?
At present most of part of India is facing water crises. It may serious in some region. At present cost of 1 bucket water in Shimla is 100Rs.
In that respect, we in AP, except Telengana are lucky, We do not have any water scarcity. Let IPL be shifted to Vizag,
We also have any problem of water but I never suggest that IPL shifted to Sriganganagar. Some matches of Pune shifted to Moholi. Nice decision.
Already Bombay High Court has ordered BCCI to shift all the IPL Matches from Maharashtra to some other places. But BCCI is also facing trouble to find out such a place, where the water scarcity is not there. Now, BCCI is constantly shifting the venues from one place to other. The way in which things are going, it seems IPL will be stopped once and for all for this year.
An extremely right decision has been given by the Bombay High Court. The cricketers who justified IPL to be held in Mumbai reflected their insensitive nature.

Even the sports you mention India has not done well for a nation of 1.2 billion. Outside India even in cricket we have the greatest records of defeats in cricket. Under Dhoni India lost 8 consecutive tests in England and Australia- a world record of consecutive defeats. In tennis we have never one a wimbledon singles or any other major singles tournament. One swalow doesnt make a summer and in badminton except for one player its a big zero. We won 0ne medal in 100 years of olympics. Same in weightlifting and sports of strength. Be realistic and accept that Nehru had lopsided priorities. Had he concentrated on making plans to feed the poor than in trying to be a " world Leader" where he crashed anyway, things would have been better. ! I am a nationalist and travel abroad and I have been asked these questions. Its not good to be an ostrich. I maintain India just cannot match a country in sports with tiny countries of 4/5 million despite 1200 million. Who is responsible?
You are right. While it is true that there are certain achievements in the arena of Sports and Games, it's a pittance, for a Nation of 1.2 Billion of population. When the question of Who is responsible arises, there are several reasons like too much of political interference is one of the causes for the sorry state of affairs in Sports arena. Lack of infra structure is another reason. Due to this, an aspiring Sportsman cannot prepare to take part in International level of competitions. Abhinav Bindra, the only individual Gold medalist from India went to Germany for his training.
Sadly the Congress party which ruled India for 60 years was only nterested in vote bank politics than in food and health followed by sports.
