It is disturbing that central agencies will speak the language of parties in power. They should be made Constitutional bodies like Election Commission so that they can be independent and catch the real law breakers.

Due to severe competition today firms are under stress for market share and profits. Who ever can deliver is selected . Young persons have energy which today's firm's aŕe eager to exploit. Merit is important but not always. Seniority is used as a balancing tool in large organizations. Also in fast changing world many seniors find themselves incapable of learning new practices and also are unable to take competitive stress. So many a Times seniors get bypassed.

In my opinion.Merit should be taken into consideration for Promotions. Every Organization will have aims and objectives. A Candidate endowed with that knowledge which help serve the interests of the Organization and in its turn help in making Profits. There is justification if the candidate over takes Senior members with knowledge, but will not serve the Aims, Objectives and interests of the Organization.
It happened in my case when I was working as a Visualizer in the PR Dept of Vizag Steel plant. During all my promotions, the Personnel Dept. has taken Merit in to consideration.

That is so ad, but this kind of thing happens in almost organisations. Truth is, nowadays, seniority and experience hardly counts for much. The younger people might be good workers and may have talent and knowledge of latest technology required than the senior person may have. But the fact still remains that the senior person has put in more years of his life to the job and has the benefit of better experience and judgement that will come handy while leading others, so ignoring such a person and promoting others is simply not fair.

I doubt if such a thing happened where moderators and members thought you were a quality contributor because I feel they are all far more intelligent than that...
To come back to the topic, as expected Congress has now distanced both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul from the Ishart Jehan issue putting he onus an blame on Chidambaram. It shod be a lesson for all sycophants who go all out to protect and even take blame on themselves.

Quality response is a relative word, not absolute. Anyhow, I believe my responses areAof Quality. I don't want to drag this discussion on trivia. On many an occasion, all the Moderators as well as members expressed their satisfaction. If its not a quality response, they wouldn't have responded. As far as I'm concerned, I don't add anything to this discussion, unless it's a quality response.

I am sure we have already discussed this topic before a few years back but I was tempted to start this topic after a certain incident took place. Someone known to me is a very senior officer in a private enterprise and he has seen several youngsters getting promoted simply because they were smarter and modern. He is a very educated and well read person and capable of shouldering kind of responsibility but having faced this kind of negligence by the bosses he does not care now. So, is it not unfair to a senior person ? , when his own contributions are overlooked and a youngster is given more importance within an organisation?

Yes. Lt Col Purohit has been exonerated. National Investigation Agency said in no uncertain words that Lt. Col was never an accused in the Sajhauta Express blast. He was Chargesheeted in 2008 in the Congress regime. NIA Director General Sharad Kumar wondered how Lt Col Purohit has been linked to the train blast. This shows the evil designs of Congress. Yes, I'm looking forward to see Chidambaram and other devout followers are tried.

I also feel that the time factor is important, during the pre Independence and soon after Independence the citizens as well as the leaders mainly from the Congress party had the enthusiasm and the commitment towards building a nation and taking it forward. But with power came greed and when there was competetion from more parties all they wanted to do was hold on to power through hook or crook. The now leaders of Congress are beyond any nationalistic feelings or commitment and so are many leaders from other parties as well... It is simply not possible to find patriotism in most of them. Lal Bahadur Shastri one of the best leaders Congress has had coined the most apt slogan for the country Jai Jawan Jai Kisan because he realised that everything else falls between the two - food and security !

Country has never been a priority for Congress since a long time now, one could see the compromise they have made on so many issues. The family comes before everything else..
The worst part is, their followers are blind as well as deaf and dumb towards it.
It doesn't make any difference, if the followers are deaf and dumb. Let these deaf and dumb stay in the dark, the right place for these Bhaktas. Lest, they become more blind in the powerful dazzle of Modi.
I wish Rambabu has the decency to at least leave alone posts that are addressed to others , instead of jumping in to respond to each and every post with absolutely the same kind of words phrases and sentences which make little sense or add anything new to the point being discussed..
@ Shampa ..If we see from good old times political parties have behaved almost like a combination of joint family and religious istitutions, where there is a head and everyone else unquestioningly bows before the head and will not utter a word against the head and his family, even extended family. Just look at most of the political parties and you will fin that they all follow the same system of expecting supporters to follow them blindly and be deaf to any criticism..
