He loves to read detective books also such as Sherlock Homes, Agatha Christie and translated works of Satyajit Ray.

Recently India refused Visa to 3dissidentss from China to attend a conclave at Dharamshala. The sad part is that in 2 cases the visa was issued and then cancelled. This was on Chinese pressure and Modi gave in. He forgot that China had vetoed the Indian proposal against the terrorist Azar Mehmood. This failure to defy China is baffling and shows that Modi has a fear psychosis of China. In contrast, I will give credit to Nehru who gave political asylum to the Dalai Lama and allowed a Tibet government in Exile. This despite the vehement opposition of China and Mao. I give Nehru credit for this. Sadly I am disheartened with Modi. People may please read my post on Modi in Boddunan.com to realize that he is missing his date with history. In any case buckling to China is NOT acceptable.

rambabu wrote: Quality response is a relative word, not absolute. Anyhow, I believe my responses areAof Quality. I don't want to drag this discussion on trivia. On many an occasion, all the Moderators as well as members expressed their satisfaction. If its not a quality response, they wouldn't have responded. As far as I'm concerned, I don't add anything to this discussion, unless it's a quality response. Rambabu's comments are always worth reading. In any case any persons comments should be wellcome. I write on many sites and also have discussion, but such polemics do not take place there. No need to give examples here of the sites.Let all discuss and be happy. Incidentally the group discussing on Boddunan is too narrow and needs to be broad based. More writers and readers must join in. Presently, I find discussion confined to half a dozen people mostly.

When Nehru gave his great speech on independence day titled " India's tryst with destiny", a lot was expected. Unfortunately, he failed the nation and even now the Congress party is in awe of him and his policy continued. That is the reason we blame Nehru for today's ills.  Modi is trying to turn the clock back but it's a formidable task , more like cleaning the Augean stables. The Congress betrayed the trust of the people. Friends may like to read my post on Nehru on Boddunan.

Yes they should not be proved another Mallya. Now it depends of Modi's government how they will face situation. It is not easy job to prove and action against son and mother.  It is not difficult either, if one has the will. This is which we lack. In Italy the trial is concluded and culprits punished and here all meaningless talk is on.

The UPA ( Congress) government led by ManMohan Singh was a government that presided over the greatest loot in history, where even cabinet ministers looted the state exchequer. Augusta helicopter scam is one of them and sadly the Air Chief then Tyagi is a party to it. I had met him many times and he always looked a shifty person to me.But remember nothing could have been possible without the blessings of the Italian lady Sonia, whose loyalty to the Indian nation is questionable.

We blame the Congress because it ruled the country for 60 years starting from Nehru. It had lopsided priorities and sports suffered. I will say even Vajpayee  was hemmed in because he never had a simple majority. Now Modi is in power with a majority and I think he should do something. Obviously if he does nothing he will go the Congress way.

MG Singh replied to the topic Horse riding as a sport.
Horse riding is like any sport. It has a competitive facet also in the form of the horse race. In India racing clubs exist at Hyderabad, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Madras and Delhi. As it is a race betting takes place and is allowed by the government. Sometimes races can be fixed. But it's rare.I have been a member of the Royal Western Indian Turf club for 20 years and always attend the signature races like the Indian Derby.  I have been a member of the Royal Western Indian Turf club for 20 years and always attend the signature races like the Indian Derby. It's a great thrill and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. In my article I have only written about riding and not horse racing. Probaby I shall post one.

I have been away to Singapore and hence didn't get time for this discussion. There are people who cast aspersions without knowing facts. But the main fact they ignore, as they wish to appease the minority. I have not noticed a single Muslim in Singapore opposing a UCC there. The issue is not between Congress and BJP, but a national issue for all Indians who wish to see India become great. There is NOT ONE country in the world having a dual uniform code. In fact, 22 Islamic countries have severe restrictions on triple Talaq. Why not here? I have already written a post on Modi on Boddunan people may read it.As I have said to make it a BJP-Congress issue is a travesty of the Constitution. All right thinking Indians must  ensure the government of the day enforces UCC.

The thread initiator has deserted the thread it seems. But trusted followers are carrying it forward and that's why it is alive.

Are they going to oppose something the will be welcomed by the majority of the nation to please a few ..I guess it is the fear that BJP will march over them that makes them keep bringing this issue every now and then...very immature and childish ! They dont seem to realise that there is a time for everything esp now when the parliament has its hands full with all the ghotalas of the previous government coming out, the saffron infested people have to bite their words  Presently, neither the ruling party is doing anything to bring legislation on uniform personal law nor anyone is opposing. How can something be opposed if this is not even proposed or anything done?    Then why do you keep bringing it up ?  They will do what they have to do at the right time, so let us wait.. Excuse me. Please check who has initiated this thread. I would never raise such issue which is not current-  nobody proposing and no body opposing. Once a thread is initiated, comments follow from all.

Those students who serve as the political stooges with a long term Plan to make an entry in to politics are not welcome. My friend in the College always wanted to become a politician. For this, he used to participate in Slogan shouting road marches of a Political party which always wanted to use these apprentice students  aspiring to become  politicians. My friend was thrown in to the DUMPS, when that his party won. The real prominent party positions were distributed to those who offered huge sums.  College election is first step of politics. Some students join college only for politics. Mr. Kanhiya is 28 years old he is still college student.   The fellow is like the party he supports - full of greed, power hungry . He is living off the scholarship that he gets for as long as possible, this is what Congress has reduced India into, making leeches out of its citizens...the reserved castes make the most of the freebies given to them, and why not when the government is ready to pamper them ? Attitude for reserve classes are almost alike of all parties. Here is Rajasthan one news plan is launched for school education. Some schools are called Aadrash school. These schools have more facilities than other government school. In these school first priorties is for reserve classes and if there after if seats left vacant then student of general classes can be admitted.
